^^^English and Mandarin are more popular than the Nigerian languages you relegate to the background because the English and Chinese do not reason like many Africans or Igbos, such as yourself.

They toiled, built useful things like the gun powder and steam boat; explored the world, homogenized their societies, consolidated and dominated other peoples like "your folks" and continue to weild so much power and influence today in world.
Contrary to what you think, I'm all for the adoption of a native language as Nigeria's lingua franca--i don't care which, let it be hausa or yoruba; but going by your parochial stance it's a safe bet you'll be all up in arms if it's nothing but your native tongue!

It's amazing how people who can't come up with any thing persuasive to say resort to personal attacks--Too easy. Sir I made that decision at 6, 20 years should have been enough time to rescind my mistakes. My point is, I can live with people being in love with their native cultures and traditions--personally I don't give a fig, in my grave it won't count-- i am practical and adopt whatever works for me. And in this life english has served me wellu wellu wellu even if it came at the expense of not being able to string a sentence in igbo.
