Yes we can, normally, you will be asked to get a sample of the product with a certain amount of money, they will ask you to come get the product from where ever there are,we can organise in a way that, you will tell them you are coming with the cash, while we inform the police about it.i already have an ASP who is aware of the whole shit these guys are doing.i tot I could organise so we will meet but they rather sent their account number.

See e, making those dubious rogues pay high price for their mischieves is encouraging, even if you didn't recover all you lost. But you guys should be more professional in your hunting, because you are probably hunting professional criminals.
I wouldn't like to disclose all tactical strategies one need to secure when going after bad eggs of such likes.
The few of you guys' method that I am not comfortable with includes that:
*You should never trust anyone you did not know in person on a race against criminals. I would elaborate on this, but it may forearm the target.
*This is an open webpage, so stop disclosing your advancements like this. Your target might be reading about it.
*My little experience with most police officers suggests that if the said officer is not your VERY CLOSE RELATIVE of high repute, and you can't bring as much 'egunje' as necessary, you may be disappointed at the eleventh hour, no matter the rank of your IPO. Except if you notify the PPRO or the commissioner ie, a officer of public figure.
*Those rogues are many at times highly connected and probably have strong defences, legal and illegal. So, I suggest you go through the eagle eye(s).
*Above all, always secure your tracks intact. You should understand this and take it serious.

Their movements with you guys this far is still smooth enough to win you the race.
Good Luck!

OMG...!!! same story line in my case for the TRIO-scammers by the name Eng. Mike EZE (08176306392) leading leader from acclaimed NIPC in Niger State in relation to POWER HOLDING NIGERIA, Pas. David OGAH (09099542918) supposed distributor, and Hon. Dr. Stella BANIGO (08136923194) intended buyer all called my mobile number not too long (08/09/2014 by 9am)... God in his infinite mercy so helped me that am IT-inclined & freak of google...

What baffles me was how the leading leader MIKE got my exact house address for its understandable full-names can be derived with flukes or something but not addy as supposed oOH... This shows laxity to which how vital information can be derived easily across the internet, so lets all watch it henceforth oOO.. Back to the scammers, they wanted me to pose as an intermediary to which the product at stake is POWER INDICATOR RINGS (Model S.P.N 1.cool from a distributor firm at IPAJA IYABO by the name BENETEX ENG. SERVICES while asking quantity is 70-Packates.

To crown the whole scam up, the so-called HON sounded too silly on the phone while I laughed my way within me & played along to their amazement. Please readers be very careful for what really worked for me was when i asked the stupid Pas. David for his company website so I can verify other brands, his ridiculous answer that he doesn't know it spurred my thinking cap to work... In today's world, a leading engineering firm cannot boast of a WEBSITE nor can its staff direct customers to it is sososososososo ALARMINNNNNNNNNNG oOO!

Please watch & be so careful of this local scam by Nigerian now we are into the "BER" months & Christmas is by the corner jare... I post this on facebook & twitter for more awareness so those wey get ear mak dem ear oOO... Many thanks to Nairaland.com & as well everyone who has taken quality time out to write out their bitter experience for others to learn from oOH.... God Bless Us ALL!!!..........

I can't believe this..

My uncle just called me now from somewhere I dont know claiming he has a fast deal, that can I handle it?

I was like, well lets give it a trial.
The annoying part is dat
1. HE'S my uncle (which I hav't confirmed yet)
2. He claims he dosnt have credit that I should call him back

To cut the boring story short, I later called him dis evening of his business proposal in which he tabled the same story about a supply tomorrow for the same Standard Chrome, model:XPN, serial: 1.8 at one Beltex Engineering Ltd in 12 Ikorodu Road, lagos

As we wereally talking, Mtn now told me "one minute remaining " in which I told him that my air time is down if he can call back, I was shocked he said no that I should load and call him back

THANK GOD FOR GOOGLE /NAIRALAND

On searching for the product, to see what its like, I dambled into this page..

THANKS TO THE PERSON THAT STARTED THIS POST

i also attached our converation call from my phone call record.

They were trying to Scam my brother yesterday....

The person called my brother claiming, they were friends from childhood, He mentioned my brothers Name and town ( They most have gotten that from his CV ),...The caller came up with almost the same story line of this POWER REGULATOR RING STANDARD CHROME MODEL 1.8 SPN quantity 80pks importer price per pks 45,000, supplier price 56,000

He told my brother, He His in Bayelsa at the moment, that the buyer is somewhere in lekki( One Mrs Grace barlingo 08123207693), That my brother should get the subject product above from the importer. To deliver a sample to Mrs Grace.
So My brother called me to meet the below Importer and give him 20,000 Naira part payment to pick the Regulator sample, Then i search google for the product name , and inserted fraud at the front( STANDARD CHROME MODEL 1.8 SPN Fraud) then i stumble upon this forum.

Importer Contact:

A friend of mine got a call from one Engr Bello asking her if she could handle a very large contract. This Bello called her by all her names and and asked her if she was still in her company address which he mentioned. It is this same notorious product that he wanted her to purchase from one Elder Paul Ogah of Bentex Oil Services on phone number 090099020145. Each piece costs 400,000. So-called Engr Bello's number is 08115827076.
I did a little search and found out that some of the numbers giving to those who have had contact with them on this forum were actually registered with some funny names. Examples belowdecks:

08148424848 - Elder Wayo
08154424681- tretor
08111540101 - Comrade Matthew Odili
08180561132 -Scammer
08123207693 - Kayode Adetugbo
08039723593 - Charles Jumbo
Other numbers were simply registered with single names such as Martins, Samson etc. this makes nonsense of the sim registration exercise by the NBC. At the Murtala Mohammed international airport, already registerd sims are being sold. How on earth will anybody be able to register sims with a name such as Elder Wayo without connivance from the staff of the network concerned.
Just beware of these criminals

Beware of this kind of scam Nigerians are using to take advantage of people, i received a call from someone who said he knew me from a previous company we worked together but by the time he mentioned his name it didnt ring a bell & i have phone nos of everybody i knew from when i started working, so i knew something was wrong, so i played along and eventually he said he had relocated to abuja but needed someone in lagos to buy products from a particular company,

details:

Item: indicator rings, standard chrome, model s p n, no 1.8
company name: Suntex Engineering Company, Ipaja.
store keepers name: Pastor Frank
Phone no: 08165207990
his own phone no: 07040823874

He said i would deliver it and when the profit comes i would get 40% while the remaining 60% is his. I`m guessing this person had access to my CV and decided to play smart by calling me because my full name, address & phone no is on my CV, unfortunately for him he picked my middle name which i was never known by, he also mentioned where i stayed (you can imagine the risk we face when we send our CVs both hard & soft copies out), i would appreciate your opinions on this matter.

I wish you all a successfull & prosperous New Year! smiley

A neighbour called me this morning to inquiry if I was still at home.On affirmation,he quickly ran down to me with jubilation that the manifestation of God's promises for 2015 has started yielding results. He said he received a call from a sister who now works with MTN after relocating from south african and she needed him to supply 70nos SPN Standrd crome(1.cool products. The lady gave my neighbour a contact of one Elder Edward,a store manager in a company @ Agbara for details and pick up of the products.
He said each product costs 165k officially and they would collect 185k from the company.
My neighbour said he came to me because he knows I work with MTN and would want me to accompany him to the company.Though,I know chrome to be a shelter component in BTS stations but the sprit of God said google it to find this so called SPN standard and behold, I saw series of Scam warnings on the subject matter.I immediately called my neighbour who was on his home in a joyful mood to get prepared for d fake deal.At first he thought I wasn't wishing him well but he later realized the fact when the IDIOTS demanded for money to initiate d deal.
God actually used me to remove the scales from my neighbour's eyes.
We need to be very careful.

Lol... I still can't stop laughing... Lol... This person called me this morning too and was giving the same story line... Thank God for google... I just knew something wasn't right about the whole thing when he told me to leave my office environment for a quiet place to talk to him... I'm going to keep flashing him so he can keep calling... Lol... A very big shoutout to the person that started this trend... There's absolutely no way to catch these people... They won't even show their face anywhere even if you tell them you have millions and that they should come and take... So forget catching them... Let's just keep telling people about the scam so they won't fall for it anymore.

I also received such text message today. These are scammers shocked shocked shocked shocked. See message below. This is end of the road for them.

Rotimi Adebekun, Can you handle a direct supply with our company,if you are being recomended?call me if you can for product and payment details.

Which I did. See the second text:

MATERIAL NAME: PIPELINE INDICATOR RING, MODEL,. S.P.N. 1.8. Company. CABLE METAL PLC. IKEJA. Elder. Patrick Amadi. 07031361114.

Re: Beware Of This Kind Of Scam... by Fembleez1(m): 12:52pm On Mar 30, 2015
So I got this call from one Engr Emmanuel 08177642829, calling my name, saying he's been trying to reach me, of which I told him I just retrieved my lost sim. He asked may be I've gotten a job and I said No. “I've got a business for you, if you can handle it. I've been transferred out of Lagos so I'm now in Niger.”,......so I said what's the business all about being eager!. “I have this Honourable who is about traveling to China to get a product I used to supply him but due to the fact I'm currently out of Lagos, I told him I have a brother in you who could help deliver the products” he said and I said what's the product and how do I get it. “The product is sold by the company for 200,000k and we would sell it for 290,000k. You'll get 40% out of the profit, so I need you to call Pastor Adeniran 08185540032 of TTN Ayobo Ipaja to verify may be he has POWER INDICATOR RING model 1.8 SPN, ask how much one is sold and we'll need 70 pieces of it.” I was very anxious but with no airtime on me phone, still owing my network provider some 200n credit I loaned, I used my food money 200n to repay the loan then I borrowed 100n airtime again which happened not to be enough, the so called supplier told me everything I needed on the product and I told him I was going to call him back so we could do business. I called the Engr back and I was given Honourable Samson Onoja's number 09096959905 who was traveling to china to get the product except I convinced him to buy from me, acting as the main supplier. I got on call with the so called Engr and acted like a real businessman negotiating price and customer service in british accented english. Meanwhile, I had purchase another 500 airtime which I rarely do except I needed to speak to my GF. The Honourable agreed to buy from me saying he was heading to Lagos on the next flight and he would need me to arm meself with one of the product and meet him at the local airport. I became a bit afraid, `hope this product might not be some intended suicide mission which I would be blown-off with it at the airport' but i dismissed the thought. I got back to the initiator of the deal, the Engr and told him how far I had gone and he said “you have to get a sample from the supplier for 290,000 and take it to the Honourable at the airport but the supplier would need you to deposit the money into his account before he could arrange the sample to be sent to me” and I became suspicious, I immediately searched on the internet (google) and behold it was a scam planned to be played on me. Just regret using my 800n to purchase airtime!.

Re: Beware Of This Kind Of Scam... by HeedPhilip: 11:28am On Apr 02, 2015
I just finished a phone conversation with a member of the scam team. He called me this morning and addressed me by my first name; which is known only to people very close to me because I'm generally called by my middle name. That was the first suspicion I had because he said we met and I introduced myself by my first name and my career. He got my career right but I was cocksure I don't introduce myself to strangers with my first name. He gave a story of urgently needed supply of STANDARD CHROME MODEL 1.8 to NNPC; which he presented as his employer. I decided to at least google up the said product to know what exactly it is... The very first of the search results I found is 'BEWARE OF THIS KIND OF SCAM- nairaland'. I've afterwards read so many experiences of people with this team, and others. I can only say it has been a sorry state of situation in this country because this has been going on for many years and the nation's Security Agents are not advanced technologically to pick up information of simple cases like this on social media and adequately act on; even if no one has reported to them- and not minding the fact that I read from at least one that actually fell victim reporting to the Police and she was asked to forget about it. It's really disappointing of people in authority in our country. My advice to all is to always confirm the reliability of sources requesting for our CVs, etc. before we send to them because from all indications, it seems they get such info they use in familiarizing from our personal documents; and probably also by hacking into our social media accounts. The man called back when he realised that I've not called the Store Keeper he gave his contact and when I decided not to pick he didn't re-dial. Let's really beware!
