Tara alight from the car. She walked up the stairs to her room.
'Its good to be home', She laughed out loud.
'What is so funny?', Jordan asked her as he entered the room.
'I hate hospitals. Its good to finally be home'
He sat at the edge of the bed.
'Come and sit down here', He motioned to his thigh.
Tara didn't hesitate, she walked to Jordan and sat, sidways on his thigh. He kissed her lips and she returned it hungrily. He knew that she was weak, she wouldn't have the strength for sex so he put the kiss to a halt.
'sweetheart, the doctor said you should eat well, can you do that for me?'
'I will try my best. I know I have to'
'Now, listen to me, there had never been anything between Amanda and I so don't worry about her. You have me all to yourself'
Tara had already decided to give her marriage a chance. She knew he was lying but she was glad he married her and not Amanda. She would take care of that woman on her own. For now, she has her husband. That was all that mattered.
'Okay, I'm sorry I emptied a bucket of water on you'
'Tara, promise me you will stay out of Amanda's way. Just ignor her'
'I will try'
she couldn't promise him. Not when she already knew that Amanda had eyes for him. No woman will sit by and watch aöther seduce and take her husband.
'Thank you sweet. Now, I need you to get strong. Its high time you know where i work. I will take you there and proudly introduce you to my employees'
'Jordan, do you think its a good idea?'
'Ofourse. You are my wife and I am proud of you'
Jordan brought his lips to hers. He wondered if Tara will ever tire him. He found in her so many things lacking in other ladies. Tara moand softly and he nearly lost control.
The door snapped open and Amanda walked in on them holding a magazine.
'What do you want?', Jordan asked in a barely contained anger.
'look what I found', She handed over the paper to him, seeing the paper, Jordan nearly slapped her. He threw it at her.
'I want to be alone with my wife'
'Tara, take a look at this', Amanda sweetly told Tara.
'No Tara, don't'
Jordan was too late. Amanda had held it up for Tara to see. On the front page of the magazine was a photo of Tara's mother being arrested by the policemen.
'No Tara, don't read it', Jordan snatched the paper and tore it to pieces.
'Amanda, don't ever come into this room again'
'but, I was just...'
'get out', Jordan barked and Amanda quickly left.
'shush don't cry. They are not worth it. We both know she was innocent', Jordan tried in vain to calm her.
'Jordan? Please can Shan come live with us? I Promised mother I will take care of her', she told him in tears.
'of course, this is her home'
'Thanks'
It took him another thirty minutes to calmed her down.

He met her with hs mother in the living room.
'Amanda, what did you just do?', he looked dangerously at her.
'Her mother was a thief. How could you marry from the generations of thieves?'
'never you step your legs in my room again. Be warned'
'The truth is bitter. I won't be suprised if Tara had stolen before'
Jordan slapped her, not once, but twice.
'If you insist on staying in this house then you had better avoid Tara and I. If you upset my wife again, I will make you pay'
Amanda began wailing, 'Jordan and Tara have turned me into their punching bag simply because I am a guest in their house'
'Jordan, please apologize to her. She is my guest'
'No mother, tell her to stay away from Tara and I'
'Jordan, why are you yelling at your mother?', jordan turned towards the door and saw his father.
'welcome back, dad'
'I ask again, why did you just shout at your mother'
Jordan looked at his father. The man looked tired and yet angry.
'Father, Amanda and I can no longer live under the same roof'
'That does not answer my question'
'Father. Please, can I talk with you privately?'
Edward Nicholas, no fool, had seen just how his son was trying hard to control his anger.
'Go to the library, I will meet you there'
