If you have your whole transcript from year one to final year then please use it because it improves your chances a lot and also use your secondary school result too.
Am not really clear about the internship thing, but only less than 1% of German school offering a Bsc programme will ask you to get Internship compulsorily first...the thing is, if you don't meet the criteria for school A, move over to school B, that's the beauty of German academic system.
If you are looking for a detailed advise, read at least the last 100 pages of the thread as an appetizer cos you will find it very useful.
No time to waste brother.

Eke40seven, you are doing a great job here. Keep on.
I have a sister that knows a Nigerian German willing to help her, a close family friend. She wants to know if there are other options for her aside student visa to migrate to Germany?

Since the person is not her husband, mother, father, child and so cannot apply for family reunion, (which even has its own challenge) the best option in my opinion for her to stay LEGALLY on a LONG TERM basis in Germany is through student visa..That will also open doors for you in the future.
Let the person rather get her an obligation letter of sponsorship and let her start applying for schools right away.

My two cowries!

You are right. The student route seems to be the straightforward track. I'll tell her to dust her credentials.

Eke40seven:

Here is the grading system again, culled from wikipedia
"In German universities (except for law schools)
a 1 to 5 scale is used:
1,0-1,5 sehr gut (very good: an outstanding
achievement)
1,6-2,5 gut (good: an achievement which lies
substantially above average requirements)
2,6-3,5 befriedigend (satisfactory: an
achievement which corresponds to average
requirements)
3,6-4,0 ausreichend (sufficient: an
achievement which barely meets the
requirements)
4,1-5,0 nicht ausreichend / nicht bestanden
(not sufficient / failed: an achievement which
does not meet the requirements)!
source:
Wikipedia (2014). "Academic Grading in Germany". [Retrieved from] http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_grading_in_Germany [Accessed on 12/11/2014]

You can use the tool on this site to convert your grades..if you are finding it hard to do manually..
https://io.uni-paderborn.de/en/incoming/full-time-students/calculator-for-grade-transfer/

Also note that many German masters programmes may require a German grade of 2.5 or better.

Seunstein can help you with more info.

Hope you find this helpful for the meanwhile.

Hello, Uniassist will help as hollaytan pointed out but before you go rushing to uniassist, use the tool on DAAD and check for the schools you are applying to because some will specifically DIRECT you to where you are going to apply which may NOT be uni assist while some will DIRECT you to uni assist.
Never say never, cast your net wide, whether uniassist or not, apply to as many as possible.

You are not really specific because 'technology' as a course is very vague..but as Horatio27 rightly pointed out, when you are on DAAD for English courses, click on international programmes and use the tool to streamline your search.
Well, let me break the rules of spoonfeeding a bit to give you the following links
Here is a list of English taught programs for Engineering courses for summer and winter
https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programs/en/?p=l&q=&degree%5B%5D=1&fos%5B%5D=4&subject=0&lang%5B%5D=2&langDistribution=6

Note that there are fewer English taught BSC programmes than Masters so your array of options may be limited.
Hope you find it useful.

Let me first commend the wonderful people that have been contributing on this thread and offering useful advice with no strings attach. I salute UNA!

In the past few months, I have been researching about German Universities using Daad.de and study-in.de/en and I have been very impress with my findings. I specifically searched for undergraduate courses entirely taught in English and I have shortlisted 5 Universities to apply to.

Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg • Bachelor of Science in Business Economics
University of Magdeburg • BSc in International Business and Economics
Reutlingen University • BSc International Business
Business Administration (BA) • SRH University Berlin
Bachelor of Arts in International Business Management (IBM) • Furtwangen University • Villingen-Schwenningen

It is always my habit of consulting those in the know before making final decisions. I have a strong bias towards Martin Luther University and University of Magdeburg which are based in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt and I intend to live off campus. I just wanted to find out if Black Africans are welcome in Halle and Magdeburg or are they racist? I also discovered they were part of Eastern Germany before the reunification. Easter Germans are known for being intolerant to foreigners. I’m asking this question because I don’t want to live in a foreign land feeling insecure, unwelcome and isolated. General advice on the Universities and Courses I shortlisted are highly welcome.

Looking forward to more useful contributions.

I feel that the accusations was really blown out of proportion and it is good as you told them.....I wish you the best and just know that God can make the best out of the worst. He can turn ur mess to mercy, ur rejection to acceptation if only you commit yourself sincerely to his will and purpose.....all the best once again.

Guy by using unregistered nipost u can kiss ur admission good bye cus u just used ur own hand to do ursef after many post on this thread talking about this issue. Do you think Nigeria post system works like Germany DAT dey will tell them to come pick letters in Germany? Letters are delivered to your door in advanced countries eida registered or not but the fact u used unregistered simply means the letter will not get there before Nov 15. When people like eke40seven keep shouting that u should read previous post u will think he is being rude. Guy pray for luck sha ooo

I took my time and did a post on this Nipost issue, put some young nigerians would not listen. Eke47 go talk dem no go hear ! Wetin una want make we do again. Which kind generation of Nigerians be this.

Nevilbot , abeg no mind them ! sorry they got u pissed. Pls forgive them. Over sabi sabi they kill people . The worst is that he. Went to post office in Enugu, where I am Known as a "the german customer" . The workers there are aware that all mails to Germo , gats be registered mails.

Pls for the records, if you go to a post office in this country, I advice you trace the HQ in your state or area , when you go there, tell them you want to post documents or mail to Germo, tell them you want registered. They will weigh your mail and tell you the weight and price . The price is dependent on the weight of your mail! If you put stone in side u will pay more, if na only paper you will pay less ("waiting for the fellow that will ask if he/she can send STONE"wink.
The price is not much but for the kind of things people on this thread send, it will cost about 500-1200 naira ( it depends on the weight ooooooooo).

It takes 10-14 working days for the mail to get to germany.

However, just like Eke47 said, if you go to their international office in an "international airport" it takes 5-8 working days (although I don't know if they have such in the local airport you can verify).

Abeg make una no dey fuckup again oooo

The surest way to secure a visa is to make sure you provide them with every document they ask for and also providing evidence that you have strong factors that will attach you to your country, like a vibrant business, land documents, family, etc.
Check the checklist for visiting visa on their website and in all you do, know the person visiting like the back of your hands and prove beyond any reasonable doubt that you know him and that you genuinely want to visit for a noble purpose..celebration like birthdays or one big ceremony could be a feasible reason.

If you look through some of my first posts on the thread, you will find my comments on Dessau, in the same state. The state actually has the lowest number of foreign borns in Germany.
But the truth is that different people experience a place in a different way, one man's meat is another man's poison..Economically those two cities may not be the best but they are one of the cheapest places in Germany. Halle is a typical student town while Magdeburg is the capital of the state. Getting per time job may be tougher without the knowledge of German but that doesn't mean you won't survive.
Racism and other stuffs may be exaggerated too as old Germans there may not be interested in your affairs beyond a stunned look of your exoticness and a deep thought of the good old days when their parks were free from a dark race who spoke in strange tongues. For the most part, they are too occupied thinking about how their dogs are going to be fed and which brand of beer to buy for their 47th wedding anniversary.

My advice, just choose all the schools and see which one will give you admission, then you can make your decision from there.
My 2 cowries.

The case may not even get to the embassy in the first place because it will be harder for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for them to accept an HND degree for an MSC course.
As far as I know, its Bsc for MSC..and HND for Bsc but you can however enquire from the school is you can start from a higher class instead of starting afresh.
Hope others can add their comments

All be praise be to God.........
I really want to thank all those God used in this forum to touch my life n that of others.....u were wonderful........

My story in summary.....
I found daad around July n found this forum around August after intense googling n research. Before that I have googled almost 260 schools using Wikipedia n the process was so slow because there was no search criteria for streamlining your search like Daad. So the search was vague. I found about my school in this forum and I must confess the application was kinda easy, compared to most schools I applied for...initially I was looking for summer semester 2015 but due to the application extension of my school it was possible for me to get admission.....my interview was kinda late and the visa was granted quickly....probably due to my quick enrollment deadline.
I also had an issue of variation of age of my WAEC certificate and WAec refused to change it because I don't have a well registered birth certificate...even though I show them d first waec certificate I wrote from my alma mater and secondary school documents with my correct date of birth. ( when I didn't make english from my alma mater waec, I re registered for waec in a state government school and everything about my date of birth was wrong, day, month and year and since I made all the subjects in this waec that is what I used....but if I had seen my certificate earlier on I would have re written waec but I saw it about 10 years later...I was using my statement all this while)....but with a simple affidavit,....the embassy accepted....I really thank God.....d questions were the same thing u have read in this forum....
To the newbies in this forum please try n read....I have read all the pages in this forum...interesting ones, boring ones, intelligent, repeated ones etc it was a great experience.
To others especially those that has been a major inspiration I wish you all the best and Gods mercies....you r all interesting....

Your statements are not absolutely clear, but if I get you right, you are looking for an MSc course in mass communication and other related courses which your Bsc degree in Mass communication will qualify you to take up.
Well, if that clarification is in the affirmative then I advise you to use DAAD, there are definitely courses you will find. While you are at it, check, university of Ilmenau, they offer an English taught masters programme in mass communication. However, the state of the town/city economically to find a job while studying is something I can't really vouch for (its a small university town in Thuringia)
However, generally, Germany is good for student works and your chances of getting job after graduation is strongly tied to your ability to speak German and what you came out with.
You should above all things, endeavor to read the thread, you will find answers to interesting questions and more
Hope you find it useful.
Good luck
