Hi. I'm Bodashee. Young lady in her early 20's. I think eating right is important not just for weight or fat regulation but also for better health in the long run.
I have a tendency to blow up. So I watch what I eat. I believe people have different reasons for working on their bodies.....and I also believe its easier to acheive weight loss or regulation goals when there's encouragement and company.
So register your presence. I'll be back in a bit to tell how this will work.
Cheers.

Welcome guys.
So this is how it will work. Tell us your goal and, the food(s) you plan to avoid this year.
Everyday, we'll share what we ate and why we did.
No matter what it is. No one is going to chastize anyone here. This thread is just to help each other grow
Re: A Thread For Weight Loss Progress And Goals by Nobody: 6:38pm On Jan 05, 2015
Okay so I'll go first.
Last year, my aim was to stop taking fizzy drinks and artificial juices. And I acheived that. In fact now, they taste like poison to me.
This year, I want to reduce to the barest minimum.......sugary stuff (I will miss coldstone iced cream sha), Beef....especially in form of suya, and finally, pastries.

Today I had Yam, eggs and plantain in the morning (I got tired of rice). Then in the afternoon I had two apples. I'm actually a serious fruit lover.......but man shall not live by fruits alone. Let's see what happens later tonight.

@ kweenkong, you're very much welcome. So what did you have today? This morning I had dodo, stew and fried fish. Nothing else from then till now.
Re: A Thread For Weight Loss Progress And Goals by Nobody: 7:10pm On Jan 06, 2015
Kweenkong, since you've included avoiding late night eating in your goals......you could propably include the timing of your meals when you post so that we can keep up with you.

I am not fat, but I think I v the tendency to be...my stature z just ok for my age but I want to lose some fat!!! I want to stop sugary things(i v moved to honey now), stopped taking soft drinks, I don't take alcohol either. I am trying to eat when I m hungry which is usually around 11am then I get hungry again around 4/5pm...I m trying to work towards not eating after six. living wif a sibling so not eating certain things can raise questions (she actually asks too many questions). So I plan to make it work....lets do this!!! grin
Re: A Thread For Weight Loss Progress And Goals by Nobody: 10:57pm On Jan 14, 2015
for today i had pineapple around 9am, one boiled egg around 11am, tea with few slice of bread around 4pm and five teaspoon beans by 7pm.

Hi guys. Sorry I've been away for a while. Phone issues.
@ mushkam, I don't think you should go for immediate change in your eating habits......gradual is better, so that you can sustain it.
I've been on a breakfast kinda groove for the past few days, and I'm actually enjoying it. I eat well in the morning.......then fruits and fruits and more fruits through the rest of the day.

Welcome back @bodashee I need to kno how good all these teas are, I want to 'invest' in it...I use green tea nd black tea normally wif no sugar...I feel using something out of d ordinary will urge me to use it frequently grin wat do you think? and exercising isn't that easy cos of different important activities...will walking for like 15 -20 mins daily help? undecided
Re: A Thread For Weight Loss Progress And Goals by Nobody: 10:12pm On Jan 21, 2015
Thanks detutu. Not living alone could be a small ish sometimes. And truthfully smoked fish is actually better, because oil plays its own part in the calorie piling runs. I try to avoid fried stuff as much as possible...but sometimes its hard o, cuz them fried food just taste soooooo danm good.

Today, I had nothing in the morning. In the afternoon I had paw paw. And in the evening......I first got gala, and then some suya. Don't look at me like that o jare, I haven't had any pastry or red meat since the year started. Once-in-a-while is allowed na.

Well.....about the slimming tea, I haven't tried any before so I can't say for sure if they work or not, but I know they contian very high levels of caffeine.
Read about grape (citrus) juice and see, but a lot of natural therapists swear by it.
Re: A Thread For Weight Loss Progress And Goals by Nobody: 9:33pm On Jan 22, 2015
Alright. I admit, owu na bastard. I couldn't eat in the morning like I normally do. But in the afternoon I had white rice, moi moi and croaker fish. Right now I'm snacking on groundnuts. That's it for the day. I came accross some detox smoothie recipes on bella naija today. I think I'll try some out

Using of so called slimming tea is a waste of money,hv used some which might hv worked for someone but didnt work for me reason being that metabolism differs, some high which makes it easy to lose weight but once your metabolism is low you won't loose much. so just eat right, foods high in fibre and protein less carbs more fruits and water. Currently I weigh 110kg TTC and going on a journey to 70kg God willing. Shalom

Hello house.

I started this routine on 24th December, 2014 and I'm still on it. I've always thought it won't be achievable since I'm a lazy person when it comes to things like this, but I just found out its really achievable.

I'm so loving the routine now.

We can make it happen if we really want it to happen.
