Hmmmm. I used to want to know all about her past. Even heard from people and from her mouth too but of recent I discovered that I'm wrong. Her past is her past. Only important question I feel should be asked is if she's aborted before and stds cos it might affect the future. Even we have a past that we ain't so proud of. The only important thing to me now is her now, told her if she cheats or anything like that i' ll walk away.

Why all these sex related topics on NL these days.... It really amplifies the fact that our society is now sex-driven!
Back to the topic:
This generation is just too playful, making light a weighty matter like this is uninspiring! This topic needs matured approach, not with kid gloves!
It is very right, normal and above all biblical to expose every of your past to your partner Gen. 2:25, Col. 3:9! Being naked in the first scripture means exposing every thing that you've covered without being ashamed!
A home built on lies and deceit would not stand(foundation). There should be a revered space for transparency and honesty in a relationship. It is advisable to speak up(especially girls with numerous body counts), because all the dust that could later plague the sight of the relationship would have been made to rest(at the early stage) to avoid any latter crash.
A lady I once dated opened up to me(though I was shocked) but it didn't deter me, it was not just DIVINE that we should be ONE!
Though some folks are too graphic to take such(they are the ones you shouldn't lie to) they finding out would erupt hell; but If a man/woman is yours no matter the body counts, he/she would stay!
Be Plain.... It pays!

Most of these chics will definitely lie. Depending on the time you meet them, if they are an under graduate, it's two. The current bf is the third guy. It's two sides of a coin. For the lady who has been 'conquered' by several men, it might be shameful while for the guy who has done it with a lot of ladies, he might consider a thing of pride. I believe in knowing where we are all coming from but deal with the answer based on who the person is now.

I will use myself as example.

I was a virgin man - at 27 years when I met my wife (nowadays, I read about something called konji gripping men who don't engage in pre marital sex. Sorry, nothing like that happened to me). Truth is, all those years I stayed away from ''evil'', I did see several good looking beautiful women and girls and I was attracted to them. But it ends when I get back home or to my work.

So, when my wife asked how many girls I have been with and I told her none, she said I'm from outer space - Mars perhaps!

I did not directly ask how many men she's been with. I did that in a ''subtle'' way - so she provided the answer without knowing it. She's been with more than one. But you know what? I still went ahead and married this lady - but we made sure we're both medically okay as required.

All is well after more than 9 years of marriage and 3 beautiful kids.

My advice, you can ask her (if you plan on settling down with her) - but not in a very direct, childish way.

And for ladies saying it's best you leave the past behind, know that truth will always find a way to the surface. Better let him know now - if he asked for it (whether he can handle it or not, it doesn't matter. Tell him).
