SKYQUEST:C fo is strongly opinionated by me to fall, just wait to buy after it has been marked down for both dividend and 1-5 bonus script. But if you buy now i think one may regret it. Though this coy is good from its management level, they love rewarding shareholders inspite of oil situation though i they are playing in the downstream so oil price may not pose serious threat to their profit. |

nacaz4real:This is the principle I tell my clients that need to re-engineer their portfolio's after a small loss- value the stock, jump out if possibly it does 2/3 of the value, you purchased* which maybe difficult, but they gave you 1 for 1, which means it's equivalent to N50, if they post good results about a week to the close of their registers, their stocks would gain, (and I really feel for you*) because anyway I see it - mehn, you went in when it was too high* I guess the 1 for 1 has given you twice the amount but you are short by about 1/8 of the value (N18-20bucks) to cut losses - if it does N42 based on their reports- if possibly they offer bonus issues, follow what I suggested - move out immediately after they have closed their registers* except you would have to stay in it for the long term- |

nacaz4real: I have a policy: I never buy at the top of the market no matter how attractive the stock may seem. I guess you have learnt your lesson but going forward, I will advise you study the stock very well and do your analysis properly. Decide what you will do only after you have done a proper study else you make another false step. Remember you haven't actually lost till you sell if you are thinking long term. 2 Likes |

stockbull: Anything is possible in Business, especially in Nigeria. I strongly believe that will be a step in the wrong direction as they would leave the door open for the likes of Meristem that are well established with a solid track record. Anyway, if such a time comes, I'll shop around for another broker - cash rules! 1 Like |

stockbull: if they offer some other "products" on their platform they would have other income sources even though it will be tashere money such as.. 1.they could get people pay for expert advice, 2. I'll really like them develop financial analytics systems that'll make use of the huge data they have allow customers to use these systems online to improve their trade for a fee. They get live feed from the NSE. what hey do currently is that they just show us the life feed in its raw unprocessed form. A good computer guy like me can turn that raw data into some other processed form (after immediate analysis) and then sell the result to customers who majority of them might not know how to profit from the life feeds on their own. 3. It is okay the way they are now sha. They can focus on what they know how to do best (stockbroking) and not go developing software solutions. |

olajide8:Thanks Ola, you've got the whole picture. I just hope they post something positive that would really affect the price so i can dump that stock. The ROI so far for the time which i have kept it isn't positive, for a stock which highly rated among investors of the 70s and 80s. With a P/E standing at 8.13, I'll watch and just hope it outperforms the forcasts. 1 Like |

See Newpaper report: "Sequel to our exclusive story earlier this month about abandoned oil rigs at the outer Marina in Lagos, Vanguard learnt that the rigs may have been seized by FirstBank of Nigeria Plc for alleged debts of about N25 billion owed by Seawolf Oil Services Limited, owners of the rigs. As a result, the two rigs – Onome and Oritsetimeyin, may not have been abandoned after all, but kept under watch by FirstBank. This is happening as more than 450 workers of the company demand payment of N3 billion allegedly owed them since August, 2013." - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/firstbank-seizes-seawolfs-rigs-over-n25bn-debt/#sthash.iwyDEJ7D.dpuf |

stockbull: If their rates are dropped even further, the better. However, if they decide that they will increase their charges because they now have a lot of clients then they should be ready to loose them, myself inclusive. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 8:39am On Feb 24, 2015 |
stockbull:If they could change their rate? Yes, change can connote increament or decreament. They are most likely to reduce their charges since they will have more revenue from annual fees, with little expenditure on infrastructure (hardware) and labour- they don't trade for us, we do for ourselves. They pay a fixed fee for the live feed from NSE, so the larger their client base, the more they get from commission and annual fees. QED. 1 Like |

Comrades, please what is nem bid price and offer price. Its seems this market has refused to go down again as anticipated profiteering this week is not coming to fruition atleast for now. The much inflow is entering this market thereby making any little profit taking negligible.House what is your view please! |
