Pls what are the airline promo's now trending
British airways is not looking like any promo is on

BA's prices are on the low side now, I guess that's what they call the promo.
If you visit travelstart.com.ng or wakanow.com, you may get really cheap tickets.
KLM and Airfrance tkts are also low, promo is on till end of march! Hurry now o!
Some dates r also cheaper than others to check over a few days to get the best rates!

Please has anyone successfully paid for British Airways online before? or must one pay at their office. online prices are much cheaper than their office prices. When I asked they said they add service charge. I've been trying to pay online but without success.

I know that countries use the rule of reciprocity in dealing with visas between countries and Nigeria has no such agreement with the United States.
This link should shade more light on this issue :
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_requirements_for_Nigerian_citizens
The airlines won't even accept you on board without proper documents or visa as the case may be.

I also came here to ask for a car rental service. Again, I ended up not renting a car. Someone was recommended to me. He basically drove me around to where ever I needed to go at an agreed cost which was cheaper than Uber and of course the Yellow Cab. I would use him if I have to go somewhere far and then use Uber for nearer journeys.

Hi dear....could u pls give me the driver's contact and price range? Sent u a pm. Its urgent pls.

book it on hold and pay at any gtbank, that's what I usually do with British airway, the bank will deduct the money from your account at the bank exchange rate for the day you pay

There's actually visa on arrival for non Nigerian passport holders. I recall that on arrival, I was asked if I have a visa for my baby that if I wanted to get it I should go to a section in the airport. Typically, US citizens can get on a plane almost anywhere without a visa, just passport while immigration issues or visas are sorted at entry. This applies to newborns also

Really did not know this was an option. Do you have any idea how much this costs?

*Update*
Just read Amother4life's post. Should we not be looking at Visa requirements for US citizens and if they can enter Nigeria and obtain visa at the Nigerian airport? Justwise, do you have any info on this? You know you are the travel guru.

Hello.

I checked Google n got the following info

This certificate is issued to Nigerians who lose their passport while abroad. This certificate helps them to return to Nigeria. An Emergency Travel Certificate is usually valid for one journey to Nigeria only and must be surrendered to immigration authorities at the port of entry.

REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING EMERGENCY TRAVEL CERTIFICATE

1. Formal request letter for the Emergency Travel Certificate by the applicant.  Include your current address and telephone number, please.

2. Police report or a copy of Applicant's bio-data page of Nigerian Passport.

3. 2 passport-size photographs.

4. Copy of itinerary or airline ticket.

5. $170.00 in money order payable to the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington, DC.

NOTE: The Travel Document is valid for 7 days only and cannot be used to return to the United States (one way journey).

I don't think it applies to Newborns cos u need copy of a Nigeria passport

I really don't understand why they don't allow NBs into d country with their parents Naija Passport. Like will they send them back without passport or what's d worst that will happen.

Infact I need to ask someone in immigration

Thank you for the research Airfure and for the info. Please let us know the result of your enquiry.

The airlines won't even let you board the aircraft without a visa or a sort of authorization from the Nigerian embassy an ETC's are issued on extenuating circumstances only.

No mind some of them.. Dunno how they would prefer credit card to debit card. Had same issues initially last time but found people that accepted my GTB mastercard. Check for budget or E-Z car rentals in your area.
