What's happening to FO?
The current price is quite tempting |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megainvest: 2:08pm On May 11, 2015 |
Joysmart: I tell you! Not just FO; I'm watching the biggies with all my eyes wide open. Be ready to strike but I think a little patience is needed because it may crack through its N150 support. |

Joysmart: Some money-bags are watching as well. They might outsmart you guys |

The market is really looking like pre-election time. I love this. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megainvest: 2:32pm On May 11, 2015 |
myjoy08: In the short term, I still think downstream oil and gas stocks will be bearish until the confusion in the sector [due to subsidy and pump price] is resolved. For this reason I am not staking too much on FO, Mobil and Total YET. I am holding on to the few units I left over after selling and watching closely so I can re-enter at a smart price. |

Stock prices ain't dropping much............Seems those bank stocks are positioning for something post-Jonathan government......There is no dramatic play yet in the market but after May 29,the reality will be dawn and casino game play will start........Just my own insights.....Everything seems like they are all waiting for new policies...... Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ifeykay(m): 4:55pm On May 11, 2015 |
Elegantreworks: Following the trading pattern in NASCON in recent weeks is likely the result will deviate from the trend of Q1,2 and 3. Furthermore the recent N9 resistance level may be broken this week. Another news that may be in the favour of the company is the paste project which was to have been commissioned in Q4 2014. For me am in it big time though the usual 70k to 90k may not be possible this year. I rather see a 1:5 bonus and a 45k to 50k dividend. For about 4weeks it has been in the top list of stock picks of my broker. Not a buy recommendation pls (DD required) |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Elegantreworks: 5:10pm On May 11, 2015 |
ifeykay: Thanks i appreciate. i jumped into Nascon at 8.20 hoping to jump out after making 10-20 percent. |

Does forteoil benefit from fuel subsidy? If yes, there is no budget for subsidy this year. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by passwelle: 8:20pm On May 11, 2015 |
mercylicious:I know a bit about the downstream sector due to my exposure to refined products retail. In the absence of subsidy for PMS, companies like Forte with import license, haulage trucks and lots of outlets will actually profit more as it will be akin to what prevails in the Diesel segment now where Total were retailing as high as N165 vs N150 in many other stations. So absence of subsidy in a fully deregulated clime should translate into increased income as they will pass it on to the man on the street. 1 Like |
