Hello Bcolah, what unit do you work? I don't seem to get any NOC related to E-banking operations

I'll go for it because with a score of 402 it's very unlikely the scores will fall that low until later this yr - maybe Nov/Dec. Furthermore many people will be having PNP's soon esp Ontario thereby pushing the minimum score higher.

I think they requested that fee to scare a lot of potential applicants away. My take is this, find out the chances if they will return your 1500dollars in case they don't pick you, if not, i think you know what to do. They have a limited number of people they can nominate under express entry so, the chances are sort of slim. Yeah, the PNP invitations that will be rolled out will shoot up cuot-off score but they are limited in number and after them, the score drops again.

Hi people,

Am FSW 2014 applicant.Application received on 29th.

Our family name was changed a lot time ago but I never used it .Not in my documents at all but my brothers and parents use it.During my application,I included the surname in my generic form only to be advised not to because the question asked of a name you have ever used.I changed it on the day of submission only to find out when I got home from the duplicate copy that the Barcode pages didn't change when I scanned it.Actually contained the name.

Please,I have two questions. ..

Is it necessary to raise a CSE about it since my birth certificate bears my parents names with the old surname but I used their new surname for the application.

2ndly, should I update them about a new travel.

Thanks. Would love to hear expert advices.

Good evening people.
Please has anyone here received his or her evaluation report from WES via Canada post? It costs $7 whereas the International courier service costs $85.

While I don't want to be wise apiece, I wouldn't like to over stretch my financial muscle IF doing that can be avoided.
Thank you in anticipation.

If I were you I would pay for the $85 courier service as you would be sure of receiving it since it would be sent via recorded delivery such as UPS. Furthermore you'll get it on time. The $7 would be sent via normal delivery ie Nipost and trust me you do not want to use Nipost! I once sent a letter to a close friend via Nipost since I didn't have her mobile number but knew her address. The letter was sent in August from Lagos to PH and guess what? She received it in December of the following year! I'm not saying it would take that long if you opt for the $7 service but the safer option would be paying for the 85 quid one.

I never said he won't receive it. I said it would take a while for him to receive it compared to the 5 days he would have received it using courier.

@qajape pls can you send me the CIC number that you called i need to call them badly. My verification has been on pending since March.

qajape:
As regards this WES evaluation, it has been going fine in my case until WES requested for verification from my undergraduate school. My school said dey are yet to receive the correspondence. I called WES to complain - that my school is yet to receive its request, they said they tried sending to my undrgrad school's e-mail but the e-mail is bouncing back (though I confirmed that the e-mail is working). I am thinking if I know the content of the letter WES send to undergrad schools, since I have an insider in my undergrad school, I can just tell them to send verification e-mail to WES quoting my reference number and other relevant details. The issue is that I dont know the content of the e-mail they do send and the e-mail dey send with. Anyone has this info?

My dear, I've typed 2X and mistakingly deleted everything I typed

Anyway, wes address is www.wes.org/ca. You apply there, make payment, you will get a reference no when you make payment, complete your application, print out a completed transcript request form, go to your school with that, your school will be the one to send your transcript while you send copies of your certs to wes yourself.

When these arrive wes, wes will now be the one to send NMC copies of yoir certs NOT YOU (usually, wes will email you to inform you that they have sent your certificates to NMC for verification), you will then get intouch with NMC for further directives from them.

So you are not paying any money to NMC untill your certs have arrived there

Actually a quote a year old and 2 days older...smiley. @seunlovesa and queen47 and those knowledgeable. is it the nmc abuja that WES will contact for verification or the one in the state of my school of nursing?

I have been running my account, but i try as much to avoid putting the CO in a box of assumptions. You quite coming from an entire different angle with the misrepresentation . They didnt request i proof the source of funding, just wanted to make it clearer. Though been running the acct monthly with huge sums, but i would have to do another transfer into the account. And i dont want the CO wondering how can an unemployed individual be running such transactions..
What do you think?
kart042000:

Hmmm...yes i think i do but for just the first year, might be able to see 2 or 3.
kart042000:

Lol ok my apologies let me state it more clearly. I filled i worked with company ABC for 2yrs between dec 2009 - dec 2011. I went for msc after wards and returned in 2013. Then i got a consulting job in dec 2013 which is not in relationship with my core area of specialization; so therefore i filled unemployed.
Now they are requesting me to send statement of account showing payment from company ABC. While i was with coy ABC they most times paid in cash but i might be able to get some months from my statement for the first 1 year they paid into my account directly. And i have payslips from company ABC.
For the funds,i have been receiving payment from the company that does not tally with my career line, and its enough to prove my source of funding.
My confusion now is the second company was never stated in my application and for company ABC, i cannot get statement for the 2 years, i might just be able to get 2 or 3 months.
ITs FSW 201 4APPLICATION . I hope you understand now jesusDway for my visa grin

Hello house, i have a quick question that requires an urgent response please. While i submitted my first application, after submitting documents of my work experience, i filled unemployed after 2013. I actually was consulting with a firm but not my field. Is it ok if i attach a letter stating that i didn't include the firm because it was in a different field?
The company has been paying me and that is the only way i can prove my source of funding.
Was told to take pictures of my former office both inside and outside showing company logo and also print out statement of acct displaying payment from the company.
I need your advice guys, my company most times paid us cash. They barely paid into our acct, though they did sometimes. Is it advisable to attach the few bank payments i can get with my payslip, or i should just attach a note stating i have closed the account i used back then. Confused, please help
I am of the opinion that you made reference to your spouse around during submission period with regards to Marriage certificate and PCC....I hope my memory is still active wink.
If this is true, you can use her to proof the POF by depositing the cash in her account while she prints the statement in conjunction with yours as a proof of fund.
Alternatively,if you run more than one account, you can use two account to electronically pay cash into your POF account.
Even if you don't work,it doesn't mean you couldn't have had some cash saved down before you left your previous Job......plus the fact that you can always raise cash from the sale of capital assets like your vehicle or landed propriety.....but these needs to be supported by verifiable evidence.
I'm more assured that AVO is concerned about you giving any evidence of salary paid into from your previous company than knowing the source of your accumulated POF.
What I'm yet to deduce is if you were actually asked to show POF or just to proof the inflow of your salary from your former company into your account.
Summarily, find the few payslips that you can laid your hands on and send it........I'm hoping the request you were asked is just to print a statement of account showing salary inflow from previous company into your account.
Cheers.

On your travel update, you don't need to inform them.
On the Surname issue, from my conclusion,it seems your former surname and new surname are all contained on the generic form...
If this is so,no issues regarding it....these are not the type of issues that results in denial of application.
I wouldn't mind if you explain better your usage of your new and old surname in your application.
I want to be sure you have included a document that showed the change of name from old to new....
Does the documents you used contained the old or new surname?
Which of it was used on your birth certificate?
For myself,my surname is a shortened form of my surname...but the shortened form of my surname reflected on all my official documents and my birth certificate despite filling parents's name and siblings with my original surname....and there was no issue......so are you in the same scenario?....if yes,you are cool.If no,explain better.
Not that the issue is a serious one, just want to be sure of how you used the names in your application so that we can be sure of raising a CSE or not.
Don't also forget that, most applicants will be asked to update some forms especially during medicals.
Cheers.

Meta4 answered you well but let me add that, the least score required is to have a band score of 6 in all segments. If you score 9 in a segment and you score 5.5 in another, you won't qualify so, whichever of you will apply as the principal applicant must score at least 6 in all segment but, trust me, you wanna score higher than that. The breakdown of the score that will give you maximum score for Language test(which is where you have the opportunity to shoot up your total crs score) is: Listening - 8.5(i think it corresponds to like 39/40 in the test), Reading - 8.0(i think thats also like 38/40 in the test), Speaking - 7.5 and Writing - 7.5 so, whoever will write it will need to prepare

Oga, the maximum for one official language is 136 and 34 for each component.

All I'm saying is that for each component of the English Language test, the maximum point you can get is out of 34 and not 40 in the Express Entry Scheme.

JesusDway is right. He means the actual IELTS marking ie 39/40 marks because there are 40 questions hence this will put you under CLB level 10 in express entry which will give you the maximum points.

No. Just submit your highest qualification if it's either a BSc, MSc or PhD. However if you have obtained 2 qualifications after your secondary school ie OND, HND, ACCA etc then submit 2 of these qualifications so as to obtain points for 2 or more post secondary education.

The total points for language proficiency is 160. The 1st official language gives 136 points while the 2nd gives 24 points with a maximum of 34 and 6 respectively. More information can be found on CIC website.

OMG you still don't get it do you? He meant the IELTS test scores! For example in listening there are 40 questions so one should try to score at least 39 out of 40 questions right which will give him an 8.5 and hence score 34 points for CLB level 10!!!!!!!!
