@callmefavored. What in the name of God is wrong with u? U mean u have still nt started processing baby's insurance? Is it that your future travels to America is more important to you than the life of that precious lil one? Pple av shared their stories, we have encouraged in u in every way possible, m sure the social workers would have explained the process nd what it entails to u. Let me tell you this, you ll never forgive yourself if anything happens to that. What am I even saying? Nothing will happen to the child sef cos American doctors will go ahead and save the child's life anyway Buh it will get to a point you might be charged with 'medical negligence'. Yes! I mean charged! And they will even threaten to take the child from you, get an American family that can take care of the child to adopt the child. I swear to u, m nt bluffing, I have been thru this before. The Lord is your strength, your baby ll be fine and that's the most important thing. You av to be strong for yourself nd ofcourse d baby. Update: remember I told you I registered with a community health centre which is managed by MT Vernon hospital. I had a doctor's appointment today. Getting to the admin, I met a different lady who said I can't see a doctor for prenatal if I dont have an insurance. I explained to her that I have gone passed the insurance issue before my doctor's appointment for today. That am doing self paid. She insisted that self pay is never possible for pregnant women. After much argument she insisted I see a pre care instructor. I saw the lady explained to her that am visiting and I just want have my baby on self pay. She understood me quite alright and called admin tha they should allow me see the doc on self pay. I paid 20$ to see the doctor. I showed them my reports from nigeria and the doctor said at 35wks they usually repeat all the test. She did some her self. So many test up to 7. Then I was sent to the lab for blood test and about 12 bottles of my blood was taken. At the end they said my bill is 20$. I thanked my God so far for being faithful.

According to them, the health centre is for the poor( which one concern me) but managed by mount Vernon neighboring hospital. They take delivery at the hospital wen am due. We were advice to go to the hospital to discuss pay for delivery. Hopefully next week will go to the hospital.

H-1B, F-1, J-1 visas. Individuals who are on work visas, student visas, or have been in the US for less than five years are eligible to buy insurance through the health care exchange, but they do not qualify for Medicaid. As far as its not medicaid there shouldn't be an issue.

I'll be having my baby with dr Fagbohun and I've gotten my correspondence from him. I'll be staying at an apartment near the hospital. My question now is, what do I write as my "contact in the U.S." Is it the doctors/hospitals address and number, or that of the hotel. Please it's urgent guys. Thanks in advance.
