OR

Please how do I go about booking an appointment with Mount Sinai Hopital Chicago/ Dr. Godwin and get the cost of delivery? Please anyone that has this info should help ... abeg!

Thank you.

Check google and you will see a whole list, contact them and look at their reviews also

Let me suggest places for her; the galleria, West Oaks mall, West chase shopping center, houston zoo, houston museum and aquarium are also close to the zoo, memorial city mall etc. She can use GPS to locate their exact miles/minutes drive from her location to have an idea of the distance cost.

Thank u mumdearest i appreciate.
1) I have contacted Dr Fagbohun via his email i got on this platform, that's why i asked about the nearest accomodation thing cos i remembered someone mentioning the East side accomodation is a bit far or so. Pardon me if i missed any other details.
2) I also found out about MIHS through this platform and contacted them, but when i didnt get a response that's why i decided to ask fellow mum's here.
3) I asked about Colorado cos i have someone there which i might consider if i find something reasonable which i didnt, that prompted my asking on this platform.
I understand how annoying it could be if one ask questions already answered that's why i took my time and thought carefully before asking the few i did. That notwithstanding, lets be polite to each other in our responses; no offence meant to anyone, u never can tell i could become your next door neighbour in no-man's-land. I apologise if any of my questions angered anyone on this platform.

On this boredom issue - if there is no medical reason to travel early and you have the heart, there's no point rushing to the US - especially if you plan to be honest at POE.

If you're gangster like me, travelled late and had my baby 3 weeks after arrival (flew delta - so no restriction) - I had week 1 to rest and the other 2 weeks spent shopping. Leaving when my baby is 4 weeks - 2 weeks for postpartum relaxation and adjusting to baby, 1 week for document processing, last 1 week for final shopping and off I go home!

My dear, if you'd gone through the thread (even the last 5 to 10 pages) you'd find your answers

1. Springsofjoy urbanliving was all over one of those pages for a while

2. MIHS has stopped taken on patients that live outside of their jurisdiction for a while now, you'd know that if you indeed went through the thread as a lot of people have mentioned it

3. Sorry I'm stomped on Colorado

Long and short, go through the pages, it not only makes an interesting read, it has all the information you need and then some.

Good luck

Kindly share/re-share contact details pls

shrekandfiona:

Your wife should register with uber, for now it's the cheapest mode of transport without stress. The metro buses here have specific hours it berths at each stop so not advisable.

I have visited houston zoo, the galleria and so many shopping malls here that my host that has lived here for over 15 years hasn't had the chance to visit smiley

Let me suggest places for her; the galleria, West Oaks mall, West chase shopping center, houston zoo, houston museum and aquarium are also close to the zoo, memorial city mall etc. She can use GPS to locate their exact miles/minutes drive from her location to have an idea of the distance cost.

Thanks @firsttymum, favouredgal & shrekandfiona for the uber suggestion. I had already told her to give it a try but she's not really a techie person so shes kind of reluctant... Anywayz, i guess when shes bored enough she'll jump on it otherwise she'll hold on till my coz finishes with his exams... Cheers all

@Financefitness, I remember ur POE experience. I also remember thinking 'this woman get mind oh' shocked shocked when reading it. Like u said above, a person needs to have heart & be gangster like you cool in order to attempt it. Unfortunately/fortunately for my wife, she doesn't possess the required combo, so make she dey bask in the boredom small grin while me I chill here with my bottle of cognac which she would have otherwise gone to hide wink

I had already told her to give it a try but she's not really a techie person so shes kind of reluctant...
She doesn't have to be tech savvy to use the uber app na cheesy All she needs do is download the app on her phone and register using her email, her atm card, phone number etc. That's all.

Any time she wants to go out, Google the address, request for the uber driver and voila he meets you up wherever you are. You would even be seeing him coming to you via GPS and it's the closest driver that picks you up. You don't have to wait long, max time I have waited for a driver was 6mins.

Anyway in case she doesn't wanna go out maybe waiting for you to come, she can try shopping online on payless, burlington, macys(they have a one day sales on Friday &Saturday), Ross is good too but I don't think they do online shopping and of course walmart.

Am here alone too for now but I go out all day, no dulling smiley

Greetings uptown17.
Ref ur post on the issue raised.
Pls note the following:
1. I already had a visa wch was used for vacation once
2. Sent a change of intent letter to the embassy even though I clearly stated that I'm gonna be using del solution medical centre buh ended up using dallas (not even doctors hospital buh instead due to complications I settled with methodist hospital Richardson).
3. You have a right to change your mind about ur choice and Location of birthing just don't come off as an inconclusive person.

Now in view of the above
If you are actually gonna be applying for visa
Just get correspondence for accommodation flight doctor hospital for one location.
Now when visa has been secured you can decide where you finally wanna birth.
Just be sure that your correspondence quotes are in sync with what you got in your bank account aii.

Nice of you to have read. ...imma look out for ya. Just keep reading and feel free to buzz the community for clarification.
Best of luck.

yes i am reading. asides time constraint. you should remember some of us
are newbies here and only stumbled upon the thread when pregnancy has progressed

to read part 1 &2 of this topic takes weeks.. and who knows baby fit come while still reading posts in naija.. so efforts become wasted

am not asking to be spoonfed. i only want t.o know if its not a crime to say at embassy, we r going to state A. get d visa and go to state B. if POE officers wont be asking y

any1 who truly understands my plight should kindly answer. we havent applied for visa cos we r still reading... and time is def not gonna wait

thanks

Lady G I totally agree with you. I was a novice as well and reading through the thread gave me so much info, priceless I must say what others pay millions to get.

My hubby also got his 2 years visa on a virgin passport o. Unlike me, he isn't exposed, does not even know nairaland but I fed him with info I gathered here.

The best is to ignore questions that have answers already all over the thread. I can't take panadol for another man's headache

Come to think of it guys. .
It is safe to say that NL is addictive. .
Can't imagine within a space of 11 days I have been on the air for 4 days outta it. .yet the first thin I do when I check in (whether into the aircraft or hotel is "how can I access wifi) where is not available I roam my line on data not caring the cost.
Just so I'd keep up with the nairalanders.

It's high time I get a cure for this. ...maybe get another hobby. .lol
Knowledge us power yo. ..

# yawns. ... 02:40 am and I'm still peeking at the thread knowing I still got a second leg of 7 hrs flight tmro mrng after a whooping 14hrs just concluded. ...

@firsttymum I think you may need to boot me off this place with a 2 weeks ban to go on sebaticle..
