I support APC at the center because of PMB. I am not in any doubt that he has an obligation to make his assets public. Not doing so is an unfulfilled promise in my record book. Simple as ABC.

I'm not surprised. When a man cannot simply clarify the holabaloo surrounding his academic qualifications given all avenues to do this but simply refused, it then means he's not as credible as Nigerians have been made to believe. More stewpidity will be displayed as we progress towards 2019.

The reason why this man rode to power is because of the large population of illiterates we have up north and south west.

No discerning human will vote for a man who could not show Nigerians his academic qualifications, it's only in Nigeria.

Buhari will not declare his assets, if he does then there might have been an under the table deal to acquire more than he had.

I wouldn't trust him.

I will be disappointed if he fails to do it publicly. No doubt that he promised so whether through APC or personally himself. Failure to make it public is an unfulfilled promise in my books.

Dear Nairalanders. Let me try to enlighten you on why declaration of assets does not me jack shiit. There is a deeper problem and for some reason you all are ignoring it or just don't know. If you all don't know it makes it worse and definitely scary.

As a citizen of Nigeria, it is your responsibility to pay taxes. For you to pay according to your worth, your income/assets should always be made assessible. If the state does not know your worth then how can they tax you properly? Asking someone to declare assets is both mo.ronic and s.tupid. The state and law enforcement agencies should have access to this without hindrance. The IRS will never come to ask you to declare your assets irrespective of position. They find your assets, and you can't hide from the IRS. President obama's taxes was made public this year. Think about that. Like i said, this is a deeper problem. Nigerian don't pay tax. And that, Ladies and gentlemen is not good for the Nation.

I laugh, how come mr clean, mr integrity, saint PMB does not want to declare his assets publicly as he had earlier stated.what is he afraid of? Therein lies the problem. you still don't understand. Why would anyone make such a pledge in the first place. Nigerians are naturally gullible and he gave you what you wanted to hear. I have never heard an american president make such a pledge. There is no need. If the law enforcement agencies are doing there jobs he won't have to. It's just like me saying "i pledge to pay my taxes". There is no need. If i don't, the IRS will definitely pursue me and hand me over to the appropriate authorities. Some things don't need to be said. The fact that he said it is a slap on law enforcement. If they are doing their jobs he won't have to. It should be a normal thing. But it's not in Nigeria.

According to the Nigerian law guiding Assets Declaration, the Code of Conduct Bureau has no obligation to make Public asset declaration by public officials, except with the Consent of the individuals in question. Except the law is amended to empower CCB to make assets declaration public, the agency can do nothing about it.
So as it stands, Buhari has no obligation to make his assets public even though he promised to do so and he failed. Thats the problem.

I'm not to be biased here but if PMB promised to declare his assets publicly and he his failing to do so by using the APC is not PMB or PMB is not APC as an excuse. Then he's a failure!

Jonathan plainly said stealing is not corruption and he stood by it.

The word "pledge" used here is stronger than the word "Promise" although I am not an authority in english .

He also promised to get his appointees to do same as a PRE- condition for appointments!

We are yet to see the Asset Declaration of the following people

1. Lawan Daura DG SSS and Acting EFCC chairman

2. Adeshina himself and Garba Shehu

3. GMD NNPC, NIMASA MD, and a host of other appointments made.

Like Fayose said Buhari's Government makes so much noise without substance, informing Armed robbers you are coming is simply telling them with me you will always have a head start ,so flee !
