Living with someone for a couple of days of summer vacation may be completely different from living with the same person for 3 months half of which you will be heavily pregnant and hormonal and the other half with a crying and demanding baby.
Gbam. You are very correct, my friend was gisting me abt her experience with her host, I couldn't help but to laugh at the reason for their gbese. Sometimes, those people just get fed up shaa, I no blame them ooo cos it's not easy to accommodate someone for 3 months.

Really the heading doesn't make so much for a biggie. ..
As long as there's an intent. ..whether you are changing, updating, notifying or even noticing. ...bottom line is an intent is been made aware.

So far as the body state your name, your paper deets, or via class, your (prospective) state n hospital of visit, estimated date of travel et al then I'd say you are good to go.

The target is the generic reply and fact that you made your intentions known to them na abi.

Buh come to think of it ooh firsty, I no expect this kain q by this time weh u are already one leg (of not two remaining the articulated section -lol) in naim u dey ask ds one. .

Still on doting the I's n crossing d T's I guess. ..hehe
personally I don't see d need for the intent , but make I no face unnecessary preventable stress...
No mind me jare lol
My travel date is getting pretty close so I'm crossing Ts and dotting I's

Hello
Sorry to butt into the conversation but I also wanted to ask if I would need to do this also. When I got my visa in 2013 I stated at the interview I would be going to birth my baby. Have done that. And also used the visa for vacation. Renewed and althou not pregnant yet will use the new visa for birth .
Pls note I did dropbox and wasn't called for an interview. Also during my last visits entered thru houston and wasn't asked a single question or for recipts.
Just to avoid preventable stress just send an intent email... When u r ready to travel

Well I call both soulc and pampered stay, and soulc seem to be cheaper and pregnancy friendly. Their services are also different too like soulc will do weekly house keeping, pampered stay would only do monthly house keeping, soulc will take to hospital for your pre natal visits and post natal I guess, but pampered care would only do pre natal, then you pay for the other visits etc
I guess no one wants to spend extra money in a far country.....

My sister, what my eyes have seen this past month my lips can't say. To preserve my mental health, I have sha packed my load and found myself an alternative accommodation even closer to the hospital jeje. Before insult turns to injury and depression sets in.

My take on this free accommodation is if you know in a week or two u r spending more than u budgeted plus u are not comfortable emotionally and physically na to waka o... That's why I don't buy using a very expensive hospital because ur host stays there...

Anyway It will all end in praise

You might have to try voodoo. tongue grin

Fill the name as it is on your passport. They will ask if you have ever been known by any other name; you fill in your married name there. Don't worry about hubby being your sponsor. Nothing spoil.

It is often a case of penny wise pound foolish. I have got similar issue. My potential host stays in NY, and really keen on having us, but the aggregate NY cost does not look good. It is better to pay for accommodation in faraway south, plus the freedom that comes with it, while managing to keep aggregate cost even lower.

@Nogen,

Congratulations on your triple joy. An accomplishment very well deserved.
I note from your submissions that you stayed at his grace lodge in El Paso. How was their service, distance to the major hospitals and what freebies can one hope to get from them. Also, what doctor and hospital did you use?
Thank you.
