Take this for a change ; whoever THINKS they know what will NOT happen after a human is dead is either stupid or lying.
My friend, stop thinking like a shallow minded white folk. You're an African. Think like one!
Many people don't like to hear or believe anything about afterlife.
Simply because of the JUDGEMENT that is embedded in afterlife. They like to think they can do things without any repercussion from God. They are SCARED of the implications of the existence of an afterlife.
You're an African man. You should know better.
The evidences are all around us, we are familiar with supernatural occurrences in Africa. Real Africans don't doubt the afterlife. It exists. And they know.
So people of the same ethnic group have to think alike? And everyone who doesn't believe in an afterlife is scared of an afterlife?

Since our scientists claims they know too much; why can't them create or discover a lasting solution for dead. A solution where by man don't need to fear death or die instead? Our GOD is supreme & wiser than us. So let's keep up with God & served him with ur life now on earth coz tomorrow might be too late* U can only live external after dis life on earth with God.
Who told you that scientists do not believe in an afterlife?
Actually many scientists argue that energy, which we are, can never dissolve but only transform itself, which means that we can never disappear into nothing but can only transform into something else, whatever that may be.

We are a form of energy.... And from your basic knowledge of science, you know that energy can never be created nor destroyed but changes form

When we die........ We assume another form of energy....

Perhaps... That might be what people call ghosthuh??.?? Mhuh M?

Yes. There is a journey that starts after one dies and it is a belief i'm willing to die with. If you are a Christian i think you should ignore mentions from all these militant atheists i see roaming this thread of yours. They will start with scientific explanations debunking a Christian's view of life after death and then end up throwing random big words at you while they recite quotes from their human gods like Richard Dawkins and co.Threads like this is usually an avenue where they show off their literary skills to convince you that religions inhibits intellectual growth of an individual. Why would an african whose forefathers killed and slaughtered humans and animals just to appease the different deities they worshipped now wake up a century later and start attacking christians who can barely fulfil the ten commandments written in the bible ,calling them all manner of names but will never call their forefathers who were more religious than an average Christian names?

So, if the one baby does not believe that Mom exists, does she then put the baby in a fire when he is born as a kind of punishment? Isn't that what the Christian and Muslim gods do?

The thing is like he said people tend to find comfort in that whole concept of passing away and transcending into another life instead of simply dying.

People need such flimsy wishful hopes to cling to because many are not ready to accept the absoluteness of death.

Death simply means inexistence (stop existing). we have not been existing long before this biological machines called body, i wonder how people still in their greed and selfishness think something will still exist after this body... why was that thing not existing before this body?

It is not difficult to understand why we make up these stories for ourselves owing to the fact that we are probably the only specie on this planet that know at a very young age that we are going to die.

Other species just live in the moment, i doubt the dogs and elephants out there are fretting about an afterlife or greedily hoping for another after this one or performing rituals to earn a place.

No they just live in this brief one as they see it

That knowledge of the inevitable end of our being is somewhat of a burden to us and with that comes a need for a hope to cling on even if it is a wishful shadow, even if it is a greedy one.

It has made many people to get lost in the euphoria of their wishful delusion, cus they have not finished living in this one or ever having learnt to live in this one greedily chasing after another and end up having not lived any at all.

So why not we all forget dwelling in these fantasies and focus on where we are now and what we have right now which is here and now.

Giving up this earth to chase after afterlife is life giving up a known substance to chase after a wishful shadow...

Most hopeless chap i ever read in recent times. You write up in any way does stops you from hell or heaven after you die. It's funny that you use the term 'real' Christian relationship with Jesus. Isn't every Christian's relationship with Jesus 'real' according to them? Who gets to decide whose relationship with Jesus is 'real'?

The movement of the earth is an observed fact and with tons of proof supporting it... the Catholic back then is based on the immutable dogmatic doctrines as stipulated by the tenets of their belief...

Evidence supports a thesis not assumptions..

Lmao.. you are not well rooted in science boy, Blackholes are pure observed existential phenomena. … this was exactly why i asked "What is a blackhole" Scientific facts does not need to be believed.. Science do not propose immutable dogmas that must be believed but recognizes chances of being wrong in its thesis.

It was once thought information cannot escape a blackhole just few months ago stephen hawkins proposed it actually can.. know something before employing it desperately in an argument that you have absolutely no basis to stand on

Only a wormhole and a whitehole is unconfirmed in actuality only theoretical and i am not seeing any scientists claim they believe wormholes must exist when it has no evidence in support of it yet...

Lmao... You believe in eternity because someone told you, in fact a primitive book that has not inferred any method or means of deduction and you clutch on to it whether it is true or not.

when science proposes a thesis, it propounds demonstrative means of deductions... So i would be waiting for yours.

Our God told us so we believe, mind telling us what this God sounds like when he was telling you this tale?

Do you have an actual means of demonstrating your claim of God told us?

Until you can throw away assuming up more fantasies like "God told us" to support your fantasy, your arguments will keep sounding like a joke.....

People reading this would be sure to find this quite funny "Our God told us" same thing you claimed was an innate quality..smh

Try harder...

Consider a plantation of Plantain
Millions of leaves,countless
None standing out from the other
What is their purpose?
He asked
"To do their work came the reply
But what is their work?
Their work is the work of Plantain leaves
The same for you do the work of humans now
Not yesterday ,not tomorrow but now
anywhere and everywhere do the best human
work your hands can find and drop
like the leaves when their work is done
The leaves will not return and neither will you
Think all ways in which we are like leaves
Our SEPARATE existence is just an illusion
our importance delusional
is there any reason to resurrect any particular leaf?

So get busy finding your work and do it to your utmost,
Regarding what follows after it is useless to speculate
why not confront what is in front of us here and
deal with it now

We are made of energy, scientific fact from the field of quantum physics. Energy cannot be destroyed (basic scientific fact) but only transferred or transformed, which means that we cannot be destroyed but only transformed.

Exactly. . . We are mostly hydrogen and oxygen which are elements created in the core of a star during nuclear fusion (Or is a primary composition of a star in the case of hydrogen)

But here we are, these elements are here and manifesting a different way than it does in a star core.

When one die the remnants of these becomes an organic part of the earth and so to me the universe quite seem like a circle of energy transformation.

Death in living organisms means "seizure of Biological metabolism" this doesn't make that organism to disappear, the activities has stopped but the remnants (energy) still takes part in energy circle...

What does hydrogen and oxygen consist of? I know the answer but I am curious what you think.

Amazing, isn't it?

Not necessarily. Energy is not limited to space.

Just a question about this "Energy cannot be destroyed" mantra

I know a lot of "science" student cite and recite this "LAW", often mindlessly, but is there anyway of proving this. I doubt this simply because it is not practicable to experiment on every system where "energy" may exist. Even definitions of energy are unsatisfactory especially where it applies to psychological phenomena

Secondly. I am not a proponent of Life after death but what do you mean by "we are made of energy" does that phrase include such things as consciousness and volition.

I believe there i always a danger of replacing one dogma with another set of poorly understood heuristics. Science often provides us with "MODELS" for understanding the world. It is a danger too, perhaps even worse than the blind follower ship of dogma, to propagate these models as "reality"
science has answered many questions but even that pales into profound obscurity compared to what it fails to answer.Just to be clear I do not offer that as explanation or justification for superstition only that even in science, true science, the prevailing attitude should be one of intellectual humility
