Please, which group/ person do u mean here?
I am interested!

Yea because I got to know about the letter of medical responsibility they give when u pay an enrollment fee of $150 from this forum before ever seeing it on their site. When I was filling the contact form I mentioned that I am yet to be issued a visa, so when they wrote me in their first mail they mentioned that those who don't have visa yet need Dr's personalised letter (as they called it) which costs extra $100. I was mad with them because such information isn't one their site and I was beginning to feel like I was in the wrong hands, they went on and on to explain further when I asked too much questions that a lot of their client had been turned down at the embassy during their interview with mere letter of responsibility . They said only those with visa before enrolling used theirs at POE, they even suggested refunding my money if I wasn't comfy with that . So when I paid the remaining $100 I got the letter and price list and was advised strictly to go with the 2 with other important documents without including the emails. Am glad at last!!!!!
Pl my dear, how much did u have in ur bank statement when u went for ur interview? My medical bill and accommodation for the period of 8wks costs $7260

This reminds me of the lady who was in the news recently for getting embarrassed in the plane by a crew member cos she stayed back at the convenience to pump milk for longer than required.

Go for the nursing drapes, really nice stuffs come in different designs. We have like 3 of them.

that cannot be good.... I don't wanna imagine how embarrassed she'll feel

I know I would. Been reading it off and on. It's just hard when you work 13 hours everyday. And time is not on my side too.
Anyways, maybe just have to go with an agent.

I just want to re emphasize the importance of this. Just as you have been advised here,DO NOT CONSIDER THE AGENT ROUTE. I know someone who is suffering a Us visa ban today just because an agent did his application. So when you are advised to read the thread its for your own good, because by the time you do,you yourself would have become a guru. best of luck

Dear All,

Kindly need your advise, my cousin needs to visit the US sometimes in January 2016 to return mid March 2016, but her visa is expected to expire ending of February 2016.

Purpose isn't birthing. Would you advise she applies for dropbox now or is it possible for her to travel and return back in March to apply for her renewal.

Please advise.

Thank you.

From What I know, you are allow an extra month in any country you are once your visa expires....Others might have a contrary view

My in law that was delayed at IAH for 10 hours in Oct gave birth a few hours ago at oakbend. ..She complained of serz pain yesterday and went to the docs not knowing it was false labour cause she was 40 weeks on the 5th of Dec, dey examined her only to find the baby's heart beat very low and had to do a cs immediately. ...Apparently, the baby's neck was wrapped around the cord...We thank God for both of them....she sent the pic but a lot of ppl may not be able to view it.

@jayjay4lyf thanks for your response. Really helpful.

jayjay4lyf:

As far as she enters before the visa expires there's no problem, its d CBP officer that decides how long she'll stay so if she's stamped in for 6months that's beyond March, so when she returns she can dropbox
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by ifeoluwakintan: 8:28am On Dec 08, 2015
@anizi Does that mean she can apply for dropbox now because her visa is still valid till ending of February 2016.

Please educate me. Thanks

anizi:

In my opinion she should renew before going, if she has less than 6 months left for the visa to expire, she can renew before going, better safe than sorry, what if shes stamped in till feb? My mum has been in a similar situation, she was stamped in to the expiration date of the visa, not 1 day more

This is incorrect.... You can stay for the duration the CBP officer stamps you in for regardless of the expiry date on the visa. The visa must not have expired when presenting it for entry though.

Not true.
Time in a country is determined by visa restrictions or what officers at the border of the country you visit stamp on your passport.

You can do dropbox whilst visa is still valid since your intended date of return is later than you current visa expiry date.

Dropbox however doesn't mean you won't be interviewed.

Thanks. I've been reading the part 1 thread bit by bit and I am learning quite a lot. I'm beginning to note that those agents don't know it all as the agent is even insisting I go for a change of name and change of passport before any other thing.

When even before coming here I knew the whites do not count all those things the way we do here....And I did the passport just December last year and I've used it once.

The thread is rich with Info, I have been following up since part 1 and I ain't even preggo yet (I have a 5yrs old though), I also work 13hrs a day and sometimes weekends, what I did was to book mark the page and read up at my spare time, mostly during lunch hour and on d drive home. U can either have a jotter or munch info as you get to them. You can make a list of your likely questions say... visa, doc, poe, pead, cities, baby documentations etc, use the search button make sure u narrow down by selecting travel section. You can also search names like Phema, firstymum, modath, nef, ozcy, olokings, tvegas, favouredgirl, nogen the list is endless Infact almost all the gurus have at one point or the other made useful contributions. When you ask questions after that, it will be precise and on point.
Goodluck

Thanks a lot, I'm doing just that. The first thread is very rich indeed! I'm jotting too....

Good morning, house.
Please, for visa interview in US Embassy in Abj, do they have a place for keeping your travelling bag? Do they also allow one to carry his phones?
Thanks in anticipation.

You are not allowed to go in with anything else except your passport and supporting documents, No phones, gadgets, bags allowed.

Good luck

Yes she can, once you have less than 6months before the visa expires, you can re apply. I renewed mine early august, i still had a valid visa till oct, once the new one is issued, the old will be cancelled.

Congrats dear. But something struck me in your post where you talked about why you didn't give birth to your first baby in the US. The truth is that those who would talk will still talk, even after giving birth here in Nigeria. The earlier we stopped caring about what people say , the better for us. Wishing you the very best in this journey.

D same with me o! Esp with the way my baby was conceived and I left before I started showing. Thank God she looks exactly like me.
I overheard a neighbour asking another how old my baby is, that if she didn't know better, my baby looks 8mths old and not like a 3mth old. Am sure dey would av been asking if I really gave birth or adopted! But WHO CARES

Greetings to everyone.
I had to move my travel date backwards by over a week, so now the difference between my arrival date in the US and my first appointment date is 23 days.
Do you think that I should try to move my appointment date backwards? I don't know if this can be a POE issue.
Thanks.
