Never got an F until i got to 300L of a 4 yr course. Although i cleared my departmental courses(Computer science),i failed all 3 MTS courses i offered. I felt like rapture had come and i was left behind. Mehn carrying a course can be emotionally draining, one of d courses i carried, MTS 311,D lecturer regularly embarrases d ppl retaking it.,not to talk of d exams,were i have to write 2 papers 2geda in case they clash. i thank God sha,passed dem all at d 2nd time of asking,nw a graduate. So at the beginning of 300l first semester, I decided to have a girlfriend like others, I recorded the lowest Gp that semester with my first F......well, I broke up with the chick after seeing my result, and stayed single till graduation to avoid story that touch......we are back to dating now. |

I rep AAUA.... my first and only F was in 300L. I actually hated Phonetics but i loved the lecturer, that did nt make me pass. When i checked it online that night i wept bitterly because it dented my record from the Polytechnic. I later passed it but it had a serious effect on me. |

Bbsharon:Of the Greatest GREAT IFE!!! . . . I had only two 'F's all 2ru my stay in OAU. 1st 'f' was in ZOO101 =24F. It dnt disturb me dat much because I knew if I dot all my 'i's and cross all my 't's next time,I wl pass. ...but for the 2nd 'f' wc was in 2nd semester(i.e Rain semester- don't mind OAU ooo,their Rain semester is always in harmattan period,while Harmattan semester is always in rainning season). It was CHM102 = 33F. My own don finish be that na. Na how I go take pass organic chemistry wey me I no know/like right 4rm my secondary school days? Later,a brother in God told me dat pple are writing complains to d coz co-ord. Immediately,b4 u say 'Bbsharon' we don already form association - Association of 'F' Carriers on Campus. I was the mouthpiece of the association. No bi my fault sha. It was in January.You cnt imagine wot it means to start a new semester,a new session and a new year with the news of having 'f' in part1 coz. As we got to the Dr's office,he was not around.So,we decided to write our complain stories right in front of the lecturer's office. This our association get liver sha. Come see as we dey construct and even compose sentences just to convince abi na to even confuse the lecturer say we be guru for chemistry right 4rm our secondary school days - Even me wey no sabi chemistry 4 my secondary school days come dey form as if na my papa be Ababio. Atlast,the mr lecturer show face. Alleluyah! He tell us say he even upgrade all doz wey get 35 upward to 40E. Chai... Why he no start the upgrading from 33. Der is God ooo. Finally,he warned us that if we check our scripts and find out that the marks released were our actual scores,he wld deduct 10marks from each of us. I did not waste time to say NO PROBLEM SIR! Abeg my fellow Nairalanders,person wey get 33F already,if u deduct 10marks,na wetin e go come get? Maybe he go send 23G or 23H to exams and records dept. Thank God,when I wrote it again in part2,I had 57C for the CHM102 and 40E for the ZOO101. PRAISE THE LORD!!! 1 Like |

I had my first F (I pray the last) in the second semester of my second year. The day I saw the result, I did two things: I did my course registration and immediately registered for the course, and I watched a football match( Westbrom- Man U) in the evening. I never cried. The F only made me realise that I'm ordinary afterall and I'm not more than a person that could have an F. I retook the course and passed with a C. I learnt from the whole experience not to look down on carry over students, because some of them might be retaking a course not because they are unserious, but due to a hard luck perhaps. Now, I see carry overs as a normal thing; it's just an opportunity to rewrite a course you didn't do too well in in the first attempt. 3 Likes |

stopped doing overnight reading. re-wrote the exam in third year and had B. the course was administrative law second semester. |

Had an f back then in nd1... Automatic CO. (EEC101) (polymer tech) a 1unit course. D lecturer told me he will make me suffer because i ate he's textbook moni despite d fact i paid him back. I was d classrep... I had to pay an additional 5k b4 he left me alone. I still graduated with 3.47, a vry strong upper. Life goes on. |

Bukish21: Well, I wouldn't have gained anything if I had told a lie ma'am. I never slept in class in the name of 'overnight studying', I started every semester with serious studying and got as much past questions as possible. In fact, my lowest grade was C.
