I am not sure both ovaries release eggs at the same time to produce twins. Not saying its not possible, but I've never heard of such.

However, one ovary can release multiple eggs.


Seems the ovaries alternate the follicle production each month, they don't ripen at the same time but take turns:

@drnoel and marriott1980 nope i know what im saying since he is considering marriage i think he needs to see a good pastor to pray on the matter. You never can tell the " lady" may not be the right one for him.

Like most have said, best advice is go for a complete fertility check up for both of you. Mk it something like a pre-marital medical check up to confirm things are as she said and to set u guys on the right path for children. Most couples go for it even before marriage. Go with her cos u as a guy needs to be sure ur sperms etc are good to go too.

I have been in a relationship with a lady since March last year and all has been going smooth until a revelation popped out earlier today via our chat on whatsapp and it has been troubling my mind. We had a discussion about our past and after sharing series of experiences, she started begging me to forgive her for not telling me this earlier. She claims the month of February has always been a terrible month for her as it brings back some bad memories.

After persuading her for a while about what the issue is, she said she was pregnant for her EX in 2013 and she didn't know until it resulted in a terrible sickness which led to her been rushed to an hospital where the doctor confirmed she is 5 months pregnant. She said the doctor recommended surgery to terminate the pregnancy because the baby was in her right fallopian tube instead of her womb.

She confirmed to me that her right fallopian tube has been removed while all she has now is her womb and left tube. she claims the doctor told her she can only have a maximum of 3 kids when ready due to the surgery. I acted like everything is fine so as not to hurt her feelings any further but i'm seriously disturbed by this.

This is someone i love so much and i intend getting married to later this year. I need advices on what to do next as i am confused right now. What are the implications of having any of the tubes removed? would it affect fertility or child bearing in marriage? Do you think i should move on with my life and look for someone else as i cannot determine the level of damages that has happened to her reproductive system? Kindly drop your comments.

op,, I am a Human Anatomist,,, not a doctor nor gynaecologist,,, so from my proper knowledge based on human anatomy and physiology,,, a human being can survive solely on a single organ or structure wch occurs in doubles in us,,e.g ears,eyes,kidneys,testis,fallopian tubes,ovaries,hands,legs etc with slight modifications or safety habits,,,fertilization occurs at the fallopian tubes(she has one),,pregnancy is located in the uterus (she has one),ovum is formed in the ovary(she has one),she has a virginal and fully functioning single womb,fallopian tube and ovary,,dat is enough to have at least 3kids from my Anatomist stance,,u don't require two for it to bear a child,,,wld have been a different things if she has no womb or any ovaries at all,,so don't be afraid,, all is well,,with love and prayers,, buh medically she is 60% perfect,,not because she is not 100% capable of having a child,, I sed 60% cos she doesn't have the two tubes,,,simple maths dere,,buh if ur still scared,,, visit the clinic for family planning,, bye
