Nigerian MSCI Exit May Risk $500 Million Holdings, RenCap Says

MSCI Inc.’s decision to consider dropping Nigeria from its Frontier Markets Index has put $500 million of stock investments in Africa’s biggest economy under threat, according to Renaissance Capital Ltd.

Investors following the index have $500 million staked in Nigeria, half what they would have if they were properly tracking the benchmark, and those holdings are “under threat” should MSCI exclude Nigeria, according to Charles Robertson, chief economist at Renaissance, a Moscow-based investment bank focused on developing markets.

“The risk has become acute,” Robertson said in an e-mailed note. “Being excluded from such indexes creates a higher hurdle to attract future investments. Nigeria would have to become so attractive to foreign investors that they would make it an off-index investment.”MSCI is reviewing Nigeria’s position because of foreign-exchange controls imposed by the central bank that have led to the “continuous deterioration of foreign-exchange market liquidity,” the company said in a statement on Thursday. It will make a decision by April 29.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-08/iran-steps-up-offense-in-oil-market-battle-with-pricing-discount

Iran ratcheted up its offense in the oil market after breaking a pricing tradition, signaling it’s seeking to win market share at a time when rival producers are trying to forge a deal on freezing output.

State-run National Iranian Oil Co. will sell the Forozan Blend crude for May to Asia below the level offered by rival Saudi Aramco for Arab Medium, the third month the Persian Gulf state is giving the discount after setting it at a premium for almost seven years through February 2016, data compiled by Bloomberg show.

NIOC will also sell the Iranian Light grade to Asian customers at 60 cents below Middle East benchmark prices, a company official said on Friday, asking not to be identified because of internal policy.

Plus a bonus of 1unit of FBNH share for every 10 units of FBNH shares(that is,1 for 10); this will give you a total cash equivalence of more than 100 Kobo.

Rumoured that FBNH is going to pay between 20-25KOBO. If this is through this FBNH is going to sell for N2.50 or N2.

Sir, their suspension has nothing to do in transferring your stocks to another stock brokering house as long as u don't owe them. That excuse is not acceptable. What's name of that stockbrokering firm?

They should try and pay the 20 - 25K na, where the FCMBs of this world with an EPS of just 24K could still declare 10K dividend, I say na penny stock them go turn to.

That bank is just pretty annoying right now. This is what happens when one entity starts acting like its too big to fail.

Any Tablet(a Tablet is an equivalence of a Laptop computer) will work! A particular version of Opera Beta(check my posts for the version) is very compatible with Morgan iTrade.

I bought samsung galaxy note 4 because of this I trade, downloaded opera beta yet it is still very sluggish. I just dropped the phone out of annoyance. May be tablet will work fine and its cheaper. I should have used that money to get a HP mini laptop which I can easily move around with.
