If first Bank by chance declare 50 kobo at current price of #3.30 kobo , their mark down price will be #2.80 kobo, and will later go down possibly to #2.30 kobo, what if nothing is been declare?.

Whose fault is it then? I dont have any intention to politicize this thread but this government has rolled out several unfavorable policies that has forced several businesses and financial institution to take drastic steps to survive, hence we see what first bank is doing to its customers.

With this news alone, the idea of sell in May is very valid. Investors are highly warned.

Well can you devalue and not have increased inflation?

FBNH's close period is a kind of 'pseudo close period' for the insiders to buy before they release the result! #Don't let them deceive you.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-08/stock-trading-plummets-as-nigeria-stands-firm-on-naira-chart

Turnover on Nigeria’s All Share Index fell to $672 million in the first quarter, the lowest since at least 2009, when Bloomberg began compiling data.

Volumes may drop further as foreign investors shun the market while they wait for a devaluation of the naira and as Africa’s biggest economy grows at its slowest pace in 17 years, according to Robert Omotunde, an analyst at Lagos-based broker Afrinvest West Africa Ltd.

“A lot of foreign investors are cautious because of the foreign-exchange risk that’s just waiting to crystallize,” he said. “And some listed companies are barely keeping afloat.”

This just the beginning cool

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-08/iran-steps-up-offense-in-oil-market-battle-with-pricing-discount

Iran ratcheted up its offense in the oil market after breaking a pricing tradition, signaling it’s seeking to win market share at a time when rival producers are trying to forge a deal on freezing output.

State-run National Iranian Oil Co. will sell the Forozan Blend crude for May to Asia below the level offered by rival Saudi Aramco for Arab Medium, the third month the Persian Gulf state is giving the discount after setting it at a premium for almost seven years through February 2016, data compiled by Bloomberg show.

NIOC will also sell the Iranian Light grade to Asian customers at 60 cents below Middle East benchmark prices, a company official said on Friday, asking not to be identified because of internal policy.
