Closest appointment dates

LOS: August 2nd
ABV: August 3rd
You will also have to fill out a new form to reflect current situation especially if your travel date and other parts of the previous form are affected by the available appointment dates.

N.B/ Don't forget to change your DS-160 number on your profile when rescheduling your appointment just in case you fill another one

I think nothing will change from the last time because nothing has changed.
Whether u apply thru Lagos or Abuja, all of them see the report of the ist vo and have the same training. U might end up being labelled desperate

I think that shows desperation and why not wait for her to birth first before re applying just my own opinion.

Clearly, they went to SA to 'garner travel history'(quite risky at 8 months preggars)
And then stated vacation as purpose of trip to the US. Result of terrible advice and bad desicions

Pls,my interview was 15th June but I was not interviewed cos my DS 160 confirmation number is different from my appointment confirmation number
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by sugah: 7:42pm On Jun 17, 2016
Ladyguinivere and seyewest I don't think thats what the poster meant.
He travelled with his wife to SA when she was 8months pregnant for 2days (very risky, I wonder what the purpose of the trip is). I believe the wife has birthed the child hence the 'my wife and 3months old baby' applying for US Visa. So the purpose of trip to US can't be child birth (unless there's some sort of inconsistency.

We quite know this is the second pregnancy and since she confirmed she's pregnant... and she's going for vacation it will be hard for the V.O to issue her a visit visa....

I have read and reread the OPs post and unless he edited his post( or pregnancy brain no let me understand grin), I don't see where he said his wife is currently pregnant....her baby is 3months old now...so if she really is pregnant, we need to give the guy an award grin

Oh wow... didn't see it that way sha..... You maybe very well right... if that's the case... Maybe the V.O did not see anything that tie them to Nigeria
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by seyewest(m): 7:59pm On Jun 17, 2016
@Geel You can't get an appointment that early except something extraordinary happened and how much did you pay for the student visa... can you try to use it as visit visa and see if it will go through.

Maybe the VO was a woman....cos even me im thinking. Why would an 8months pregnant woman fly across the continent for a 2day trip? Was it vacation for 2days? Did they transport something illegal? Why did they take the risk?

That's why he was asking if going with a medical report stating his wife was fit for the trip would make any difference.

1 tip that worked for me was keep checking for available slots until I found something close enough for me.

Thanks for your response. I actually applied for the US visa after I had gotten the visas for all other countries on my itinerary, assuming it would take the usual 5 working days. My travel dates come up soon and I'd like to know if my passport can be retrieved while the admin processing is going on. @LadyGuinivere @LagosNIV

Yes, you can come in and pick up your passport - you will just have to bring it back before the visa can be issued once admin processing is complete.

Unless your circumstances have changed - and it does not sound like they have - I would not recommend reapplying because you are going to get the same answer. The decisions are made based on your ability to meet the requirements under U.S. law, and even though you might not understand what those requirements are, I can assure you that bringing a note from the doctor is meaningless for the purposes of getting a tourist visa.

There is July 26th, but you just have to keep refreshing the page to see if you can get an earlier date. This is a busy period so dates are not available for June, July

@Seyewest and Sugah; the answer to the SA trip wahala lies in the aforementioned by LadyG na. There was no good reason for that trip than to do exactly just that, garner travel history wrongly and not smartly.
@Allisonmoshood, didn't the VO specifically ask you what was the purpose of your trip to SA, and what was your answer? That answer killed the interviewI IMO!

Are you really sure you're in the U.S ??
No V.O will ask if you have booked a flight while interviewing you, there job is to give you a visa.

What you will be worried about is being able to get a visa.
As for the flight arrangements, you can book her flight anytime.
