Please MTN i assume this is the most unfair treatment given to a customer. Sorry if my message will be too long.
On 06/05/2016 i subscribed for N1000 - 1.5GIG but on recharging the money, i got my normal beta talk bonus, all through while i browsed, the bonus was deducted until exhausted and some part of the data consumed but browsing stopped after a while.
I called on 180 for solution and i was given almost all remedies but to no avail.
I then subscribed for 30MB daily but this also couldn't browse aswell i called on Customer care again no solution. To worsen it, if i activate to browse with my card (*131*202/1) it doesnt still connect either.
Yesterday, i called on 180 again but an agent of yours said because i subscribed for the 30MB i have deactivated the 1.5GIG that it was the cause of the problem. I angrily had to subscribe again for the 1.5GIG for N1000 yesterday. I was also given N2000 bonus par my beta talk. I then started browsing again up till this evening when the bonus got exhausted And it stopped browsing. I called customer care again this evening but i was given some solutions i had gotten before.
Solutions i received included
&Changing of Access point name to web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
&Removing port and I.P
&Dialing *466*1#
&Dialing *131*201#
&Switching off phone for and removing sim for 5mins

Please i uses two mtn sims the other is browsing fine, and have even switched the sims to check if it is my phone problem but it is not as the other sim browses effectively in either sim port.

This thing has really kept me stuck because i am a student and using almost all my allowance for data is not fair. I have spent N2100 on dat in the past four days but cant browse. Please even if it is a refund of my money, i will appreciate. Thanks.

I av this peculiar issue on my mtn line since december2015. Every time i load a card say 200naira and i leave my phone for a period of 12hrs with or without using the credit.

I just noticed a multiple of 20naira has been deducted from my phone without receiving any alert as to why it was removed.
Also, daily deduction of 15naira is removed from my line.

have called CC several times, and dey give excuses of 'the app to check my sim is not responding/ dey av directed the issues to their engineers' but yet no changes.

NB: have deactivated all sort of subscriptions on it(musicplay) and yet dey said its music play dat is deducting my money

But av been trying it Now and it's telling me that am nt eligible for the offer, av called their customer care, they told me to remove my battery and insert back, but I keep receiving the same error message telling me that am nt eligible ... What should I do

Hello Mr JideSM! what have I done to deserve this? Whenever I recharge my better talk account, MTN will make sure the major recharge is deducted without any form of notice or reason why it was so even if I haven't made any call. while the bonus would still be available for use. Y'ello, I apologize for this. Kindly provide the particular date you experienced this deduction and amount for further chceks. Your call history showed N15 deduction for Music plus service. However, the service is no longer active.

Dialled *131*200# but still not browsing.
I've been to Mtn service centre and was told its a my sim or number that is the problem. Is there anyway I can get this sim to browse? as i don't want to lose the number, if not I would have got another Mtn sim.

Thank you very much. I actually texted STOP, CANCEL, etc to 5900 just to stop the music plus thing, and each time I did received messages from MTN telling me that I have not subscribed or have unsubscribed from the plan; Yet they kept deducting my money. I hope it has been fixed like you've said though. Thank you again.

I subscribed to 50mb +5 mins a day plan through *142*27# but i was only given d 5mins without d mb, why that?

N1000, to get N3875 for calls and 312MB for internet, valid for 1 month.

it turns out to be valid for only 2 weeks.

is this thing actually for 2 weeks or 1 month?, because mine expired after 2 weeks.

Had to load N100 to observe the rate of deduction

I had total Balance of N101.96.
As of 9pm 7th july, 2016


Waking up this morning i met

N11.96 naira on my phone.


That's a rste of 15naira at different intervals

I didn't get any alert as regards that.


Currently on normal 1k 1.5gb plan.

If possible to remotely do a sim wipe and start afresh, i won't mind.


This is my business line, thus the reason why i need it.

Please Jide confirm what is going on.
