You can use worse language on us. It won't stop us from doing what we believe in. If you feel we turn the Bible upside down, maybe it's because we could see and understand it better.

There's a big curse on anyone who adds and remove from the Bible. Jehovah's witnesses know this. But there are certain people who removed God's name from the Bible. What do you know?

My brother... You don't wanna get in an argument with me u will get tired.. So i don't wanna bother myself.. Keep swimming in your pool of ignorance

So your organization reads into the scripture what is not there undecided

But your organization knows the step by step how earth will become paradise.

Since you know this why are you perambulating all this while

So tell us the work that will be done.

But Jesus' LIFE FORCE was removed from a BODY, isn't it?

Life may not be tangible to you since you can create it.

Just look at the @bold and tell me how this was done if Jehovah didn't transfer anything.

You repeat it here that Jah transferred the LIFE OF HIS SON; so was the Son still in heaven after Jah used the life of His Son to fertilized the Ovum inside Mary?

Does the Son suddenly vanish out of existence after His life was used to fertile Ovum?

Was the LIFE also another PERSONALITY of the Son because I can only see that you make reference to the LIFE alone here?

If His Life wasn't another PERSONALITY, does that not make God a liar when He actually sent NOTHING and He claimed He sent His Son?

Again look at the @bold, once more; does this life force another PERSONALITY of the Son?
After the LIFE FORCE caused the conception what happened to WHOLE NATURE of the Son or does the Son only exist as LIFE FORCE?

Then what happened to the rest of Jesus Nature i.e BODY or this LIFE FORCE is the whole nature of the Son and does not reside inside any body?

Just Imaging a life will be taking from a body yet something has not been taking from that person grin grin grin grin I'll bookmark this for future reference cheesy cheesy cheesy

Let even say the life was taken and yet nothing was taken from Him, now was the divine Jesus still in heaven when the man Jesus was on earth? Because it means the Son will be intact as NOTHING has change in His nature.

About the death of Jesus as you said, that's RECREATION not RESURRECTION

OHHHH is it not the same spirit body that those who came out of resurrection will take on? This spirit body will know it's not corruptible neither destroyed.

So what happened to Jesus' body that the LIFE FORCE was removed? Because the BODY without the LIFE FORCE is dead....do you agree?

LOLzzzz it's your organization you should shake your head for not me.

ONLY myopic mind like you won't understand what that picture depicted.

Every Bible believing Christians know that Jesus entrusted His Spirit that about to leave His body to the Father, which proves that the LIFE FORCE or SPIRIT resides inside a body. Just as Jesus gave His spirit/LIFE FORCE on the cross to His Father and His BODY REMAINS there, likewise when Jah removed His LIFE FORCE before He came to earth His BODY must also remain somewhere. Why will Jah kill His own DEAR SON for removing His LIFE FORCE?

In fact it's not a problem to those who believe that there is a SPIRIT inside every one that lives on after it departed from the body RATHER it should be a great problem to JWs who doesn't believe that our spirit lives on after departed from the body.

So if I may ask, what did Jesus give to His Father 1. Ordinary life like Air 2. A conscious Life?

Leave Animal out of this,

So the LIFE FORCE inside the ovum was it CONSCIOUS of Itself or just ordinary life like air?
NOTE: if it conscious of itself, that means what is inside Mary is DUALISTIC in NATURE one divine one man....but I know you won't agree with this likewise if it is not conscious it means NOTHING from the Son was inside Mary just ordinary air and both can't be true!

It's you who need to look at the absurdity in your post and cover your head in shame.

What no?!? I was scrolling down to see ur answers but sir, for this single answer, i stop scroling. John 10:30 "I and the father are one." should be enough for you or 1col. 1:15 "He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God..." there are alot of scripture verse that proves Jesus is God. It's clear that JW don't believe in trinity!

OMG! You are even quoting scriptures that says Jesus is not God. That someone is "an image of another person" does it means he's the same person? Oga Na wah ooo.
This is simple English ooo.

That they are one, does it mean they are equal or the same? Man and woman when married are no longer two but WHAT? does this mean they are the same or equal?
Oga, think nauuuu. Jesus said countless times that the father is greater than him, that he can never do or say anything but what the one who sent him told him. Hmmmmm

Even the so-called big pastors don't know this.

I won't lie, jehovah witness members disgust me. They are so full of falsehood that would make Jesus be shaking his head in annoyance. This people just interpret the bible upside down. No wonder they are a very tiny minority in the Christian denomination, because real Christians find JW beliefs as very extreme and pure falsehood. I pray Jesus shows them the light and forgive them. The really need Jesus

You disgust them, because you have been fed the falsehood, about JW just like the way one so called pastor is feeding people with falsehood about Paul and the Bible on pages of newspaper every Sunday, instead of listening to falsehood from those who knows nothing about Jehovah witness and their believe, I will advise you to contact them in your locality or visit our website JW.ORG and read it with open mind, as all the believes is clearly verifiable from the bible, please stop the hate as we Jehovah witness love you so much and want you to survive into GOD'S KINGDOM, thank you very much for your contribution.

Maybe you just haven't realised it yet. Look for answers yourself. Seek Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In Ps 2:12 it says 'Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.'
Here, one of the numerous verses in the OT that clearly shows Jesus as fully God, worthy of all worship, NOT what JW portray Him to be. Another thing, JWs don't know the Holy Spirit, also God (Act 5:3-4), if they did then they would know Jesus Christ, because that is one of the things the Holy Spirit (NOT 'active/life force') does, He testifies about Jesus.(John 15:26). I pray you come to the knowledge of truth in Jesus Christ and be saved. God bless you
Maximus85:

Sincerely, I commend you for your patience and tactfulness at answering these questions.
The truth is, I've done this before and it didn't end well. The more you try to help some see the truth, the more many will come to confuse them again. It's like fetching water into a basket.

I'll suggest we continue with our normal house to house and one on one witnessing and beg Jehovah to bless our sincere effort.

Like Jehovah has promised, he will speed it up in his own time. And we will continue to pray to Jehovah to help them know the truth.

Why would we spend our time and energy trying to deceive people?

www.jw.org is the best place they can go to find answers to all their questions.

Well done bro.

interesting topic... thumbs up
I've got one question.... every group that exist and has ever existed has a root which can be traced to current times.... from Buddhism, Judaism, Taoism and even pagan rites....
so this is my question, please give me a chronological list or history till present times of the church which Christ left behind.....please don't give me a video link...

You answered my questions in a typical Jehovah's witness way.

I wouldn't bother you too much, seeing that you are truly indoctrinated. You can't even see why I say that your church members are wicked. How can you look at someone dying and refuse him blood? Are you people the only christians that read the bible? Do you even know that your Jehovah's witness new translation bible is still a translation of a catholic bible?

90% of your culture is pagan. In fact, everyone in the world has pagan roots. To suggest that christmas is pagan is kind of hypocritical, considering that your Nigerian name, food, dressing comes from pagan origin.

You do realise that pagan relgions existed before Christianity?

I was actually shocked at his justification of not donating blood. How wrongly they interpret the Bible!

Did the first christian church continue the Saturday-practice after the death of Jesus Christ? I wish someone is able to throw more light on this

Yes they did until 325AD or thereabout. Man tried to change it from Saturday sabbath to Sunday, 1st day of the week because Jesus resurrected on Sunday.

Jesus as his custom was... entered the synagogue on the sabbath and taught the people. The apostles, early church observed that day of rest that God told the isrealites to "remember to keep holy... "

These days we claim all the promises of the isrealites made to them by God. Some would say "but we are not isrealites nah" then why is the old testament and the 10 commandments still in your Bible?

Read Gal 3:26-29 and find out how we are all isrealites. Then why should we expunge just that 4th commandment from the rest?

So please tell me, why don't jehova witnesses worship on, or observe, or keep the sabbath day holy?

10 Reasons for Human to Leave Religion Behind

Reason 10: The Messiah Story Has Been Around For Thousands Of Years.
The Messiah Story Has Been Around For Thousands Of Years. It should be noted that the idea of a divine savior of the human race is practically as old as the human race itself, and has resurfaced continually, echoing throughout our culture for thousands of years. That it continues to be a theme of popular works today is no surprise, but there exists a bitter debate over whether many or most of the major elements of the story of Jesus Christ were co-opted from other sources - some that originated hundreds or even thousands of years before Jesus. The general assertion by the skeptical is that all of these elements - the virgin birth, significance of the solstices, the miracles, disciples, baptism, crucifixion, resurrection - along with many even more specific elements like Heaven and Hell, the soul, holy communion and others, were all seen before in multiple ancient pagan religions. Many Christians contend that these similarities are a distortion, or the result of ancient records being taken out of context or simply being inaccurate; atheists similarly will point out that practically all ancient records are of questionable accuracy to some degree, including those non-Christian references to the historicity of Jesus.Modern scholars can only agree on two things about Jesus: that he was baptized, and that he was crucified on the order of Pontius Pilate. All of the other details are disputed by some group of scholars or another, and an examination of the ancient pagan religions predating Jesus - those surrounding Horus, Mithra, Dionysus, Krishna and many others - yields an astounding number of similarities that cannot be explained away as coincidence. These stories seem to be a part of ancient Mediterranean culture, which leads us to the fact that . . .

Reason 9: “Mythology” Used To Be Religion.
When we think of the Greek, Roman, Norse and other mythologies that we studied in school, most of us probably consider them to have the same level of actual historical significance, or value to our modern culture, as The Lord Of The Rings. That is not to say that they have little or no value - these mythologies were an important part of the development of human intellect and understanding of the world, of which we had very little at the time of their inception. From an atheist point of view, it can be argued that we still had very little understanding of the the way our world works two thousand years ago, and that the application of different aspects of pagan myth to the Christian gospels makes sense - many ancient mythologies borrowed from each other, as we know from our study of the very similar Roman and Greek mythologies and all of their various analogues (Zeus and Jupiter, Venus and Aphrodite, etc.) of the same deity archetypes. These ancient mythologies weren’t myths to the people who created them - they were religion, their way of explaining the world and its mechanics. Mount Olympus was simply the highest mountain in Greece, and to the ancient Greeks it was their version of Heaven, and Zeus their version of God.This holds true for all ancient and pagan belief systems, which also illustrates the point that Christianity did not bring religion, the concept of salvation, or even monotheism to the world - these things had been in place for centuries. Christianity, Islam and other such belief systems (and there are many similarities there as well) can be seen simply as the myths that have somehow survived to this day.

Reason 8: The Bible Doesn’t Line Up With Modern Values
The Bible is, obviously, an extremely old text with dozens of interpretations throughout the centuries. The term Christian itself is a rather a blanket term for a dizzying array of belief systems, very few of whom are in complete agreement as to how the Bible should be interpreted - or even in what context specific passages should be taken.Atheists do have trouble reconciling that the Word Of God, infallible as it should be, would be so open to such wildly varying interpretations - but what they have more trouble with are the passages in the Bible that clearly have absolutely no bearing on any sane, modern system of beliefs and morals. Most are aware of the passages that provide for the keeping of slaves, the wanton murder of homosexuals and adulterers, the selling of children and other such things which have no place in civilized society, let alone in texts that are considered to be holy.Yes, these things were common 2,000 years ago, but that’s the point - that these do not appear to be the suggestions and guidance of an all-knowing and loving God, but rather of men - not prophets, just men, who were very much of their time. An omnipotent God would have demonstrated an understanding of basic human rights long before we humans got around to realizing, for instance, that slavery is wrong. This limited understanding of historical context works backwards as well as you will see in this next item:

Reason 7: The Bible Doesn’t Work As A Historical Text.
The above-referenced debate as to whether Jesus was actually a historical person (he almost certainly was) notwithstanding, there are myriad problems to be found when attempting to reconcile the Bible’s account of ancient history with the known historical record. Again, these are inaccuracies which would not be expected from an omnipotent being, but would absolutely be expected from a 2,000 year old author with a limited historical and scientific frame of reference. Take, for example, the story of Noah and the Great Flood, a significant event that, even if it were not worldwide but localized to one region, would have made the historical records of many ancient civilizations.

Many Christian scholars believe that it was localized, not a global flood, which explains its absence from the ancient record. The Bible itself says in Genesis: “6. The LORD regretted that he had made mankind on the earth, and he felt highly offended. 7. So the LORD said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth-everything from mankind to animals, including creatures that move on the ground and birds of the air, for I regret that I have made them.” … 11. The earth was ruined in the sight of God; the earth was filled with violence. ”This clearly did not happen - but it was also far from the first “Great Flood” story of the ancient world, another mythological element that has echoed across cultures for millennia. And while it’s easy to argue for the validity of parables and metaphors as a means to understanding human nature and morality, the opposite case can also be made; that it has become unnecessary for us as a species. We have developed into civilized people that understand the concept of morality simply being good for our continued survival.

Reason 6: Religion Is Behind Many Conflicts, Large And Small.
If religiosity is the key to the understanding of human nature and our place in the Universe (or wherever we are), then this is particularly troubling to the skeptic. Yes, “Why does God let bad things happen?” is a well-worn and simplistic argument, but the fact of the existence of numerous bloody religious conflicts throughout history - including those between differing sects of Christianity - combined with the aforementioned Biblical references to the many types of offenders that should be put to death, cannot simply be waved away. Not only is killing for any reason obviously morally wrong, but there’s a direct conflict with the First Commandment, the Christian doctrine of turning the other cheek, and the simple truth that religion and politics - that other great cause of violent conflict - should not be mixed. The very phrase “King James Bible” is suspicious to the skeptic, as it implies government involvement in the interpretation of religious doctrine, and even the founders of the US thought enough of the issue to include the tenet of separation of church and state within the establishing documents of the nation. But the ability of faith to transform a political moderate into a radical cannot be overstated - and the ability of governments to use said faith to their own ends is easy to see, as it continues to this day. Many in the US think of religious radicals as those of other religions - alien religions with weird beliefs that make their followers do crazy things, but the truth is that there are radicals of practically every religious affiliation - and that there is no killer more determined than the one who believes with all their heart that God wants them to kill.

Reason 5: The Religious Are Not Favored.
This raises another question: the religiously devoted are certain of the truth of their religion, but there are hundreds, thousands of religions all over the world, and they cannot all be right - unless they are really all just metaphors, different interpretations of a truth that may be beyond our intellectual grasp. So the question is: if one religion is correct, why is it not the only religion? Why are its followers not favored by God? Why is there such widespread disagreement? There simply is no answer, because there is no one religion that is favored in any measurable way; not by rate of new converts, happiness or comfort of the converted, protection from disease or physical harm, anything. And the notion of a God that must “remain hidden”, that cannot interfere with the lives or fates of his followers, negates the entire concept of prayer - while also raising questions about why God spoke to so many people in Biblical times. It’s somewhat of a well-known notion that the devoutly religious, when set upon by severe misfortune, will simply think of it as “God’s will”, which we’ll discuss a little more later. But to the skeptic, it follows that an all-knowing God who loves all of his children - and is admittedly “jealous” - would be pleased with those who know the truth, and likely very displeased with the millions of his children who erroneously follow false religions. If this is the case, it is in no way apparent, but it is painfully apparent that…

Reason 4: The Religious Are Not More Morally Sound Than Others.
In fact, religious beliefs are decidedly not an indicator of strong moral values, and vice versa. Among atheists, it is a common misconception that Christians and other religious types are closed-minded, superstitious and judgmental; among the religious, it is a common misconception that the non-religious are depraved, morally reprehensible perverts. Thoughtful people of both types understand that such generalizations fail to hold up in reality, and that morality and religious inclinations (or lack thereof) can be two very separate things.Indeed, even those who do not believe in a deity should still be able to agree that the core values of most religions - respect for one’s fellow human beings, striving to be a good and worthwhile member of society, an agreement not to steal, cheat or murder - are basic human values that it is the responsibility of every parent on Earth to instill in their children. This does not, however, necessitate the existence of a Creator who enforces these values upon us; nor does the atheist assertion of a lack of said creator imply that we do not have a duty to lead moral lives. Many agnostics and those who don’t accept the literal truth of religious texts while still holding up the value of religion as a moral guide miss this point. Atheists will counter that there can and must be morality without religion, that we as humans no longer need these parables and metaphors that may have helped to guide us in our early development, but have outlived their usefulness to (reasonably) enlightened, thinking beings.

Reason 3: Science Is Starting To Answer All Of The Big Questions.
The big questions: how did we get here, where did we come from, where are going - have been with us for our entire existence, and we are finally reaching a point in our development where we are beginning to be able to address and even answer some of them. Not in the way our ancestors did, but with new tools and information that have only been recently available to us.The field of physics, and recently quantum mechanics, has revealed things to us about the world we live in that could not have been known even half a century ago - things like the nature of matter and the structure of cells and proteins - which was about the time that the double-helix model of DNA was accurately hypothesized by James D. Watson and Francis Crick, and the “code” with which we are programmed became known to us.And while the religious may argue that these things are aspects of God’s design, the skeptic may counter that though there may very well be a design, it does not automatically follow that it is the design of a Creator deity. For what the majority of the devout fail to realize is that…

Reason 2: There Can Be Spirituality Absent Religion.
Not only is there a strong sense of the spiritual among most of those who are atheist, but many of them feel that it is the need for spiritual oneness - the longing that is innate to most of us to be a part of a more significant whole - that is most cruelly exploited by religion. For while the skeptic contends that we were not all created by a God, that does not mean that we all didn’t come from the same place.Indeed, in purely practical terms, we did - from the universal singularity before all of time and space, before our Universe began, the same “place” - if it can truly be called that - that everything, living and non-living, past, present and future, originated in. This is what Carl Sagan understood when he penned the above quote; that there is no difference between any of us, and manufacturing differences where there are none serve only to isolate and divide. This need for oneness, for return to a singularity, is a part of human nature that is so very easily manipulated, as those who claim to offer it to us are doubtless aware. But there is no one path to it, no one way; and likewise, no way to absolve ourselves of the one absolute imperative of human existence. This is perhaps the concept that troubles the non-religious the most, because…

Reason 1: Religion Helps Us Avoid Responsibility.
If every aspect of our existence is a part of God’s plan; if everything that has ever happened or will ever happen is God’s will; if we exist only for God, then the need for us to be responsible to and for ourselves is negated.Even the most heinous crimes against humanity - against ourselves, from the murder of a single child to the Holocaust - can be ascribed to God’s will. But what does that mean for us? In the most practical terms, it means that we are not responsible for our actions. That if a parent abandons a child, a rich man becomes richer off the backs of the poor, a corporation causes irreparable damage to the environment, or a government exterminates thousands of its own innocent citizens, it was all a part of God’s plan. It was inevitable; it could not have been avoided. There is nothing to learn. We are not responsible. This, of course, can lead into a much longer discussion about destiny versus free will, but thinking people - both religious and non-religious - can and must agree that it is the purpose of the human race to never stop learning, and never stop growing. It’s more than a belief system, and it remains relevant regardless of what you believe or don’t believe - indeed, whether God exists or not. It’s why we’re here, and it’s our responsibility.

JMAN05:
There seem to be many questions on this board regarding the bible, God, lifestyle, science etc, answers have also been offered. However, you might get a reasonable answer to your questions if you try and see how Jehovah's Witnesses proffer solution to those questions.

Of course, reading from our websites, can assist you with an authoritative answer from the field of JWs. (ie, www.jw.org; tv.jw.org; wol.jw.org). Jehovah's witnesses also have an application which can help someone read different versions of the bible like KJV, Bryington, ASV etc. You can also download our journals in ur own language inside this app and watch some videos. Go to play store and search for JWLibrary app.

That in ur vicinity can also assist in answering your questions. You can also send me an email for a quiet discussion devoid of distractions common in Nairaland.

But you can post ur questions here too, let's see how we can handle it, but please be civil and open minded. I won't respond to apostates or apostate sites or those I view to be unserious. I might end it if one is insincere.

I do not have answers to every question. Others like Biblespeaks, dolphinheart, truthislight can contribute also.

I'm having a hard time trying to decipher if in reality, the Watchtower organisation placed you here in nairaland and gave you the moderator status or if this is just a lone wolf case.
I see what you are doing, typical damage control, the Watchtower way. You notice that a lot of exposure has been happening recently on Nairaland and more and more people are getting to know about Jws, so, what do you do? You tried to control the damage.

What is coming for the Watchtower organisation is big and they will be weeping and gnashing their teeth when it's completed. They have deceived, manipulated and outrightly lies using the Bible. But there is news for them, this is an information age, an Era of knowledge and technology, information spreading in the speed of the internet.
They can't stop it neither can they control it. They will be exposed and exposed more and more. And one more thing, this is not the 80s where they can hoard information to only a selected few and then decides who sees it and who doesn't.

To be honest, some of the justifications witnesses give are rather infuriating.

I've argued enough with them in one life time. Henceforth, I'll hold my peace.

And Hey... That scripture you quoted about not saving ones life through blood donation is wrong...

What that scripture is trying to say is more like... Those who deny me(Christ) I will deny... And those who proclaim my name sha be saved...

Now... It states...those who want to save their lives shall loose it and those who loose their life sha gain it in my name is(I.e... Jonah running away from the city of Nineveh when he was instructed to go preach to them so they might be saved).. Jonah was so afraid of loosing his life cos Nineveh is a very rugged place where they don't condole nor listen to preachers... And at most cases they kill preachers.... Jonah was so scared of going there cos he dint want to die all in the name of preaching the gospel.. But he was led there by the fish that swallowed him and he couldn't run again.. He began preaching and to his utmost surprise they repented... And gave their lives to Christ....

Now.. That's a true example of that scripture which says you loose your life trying to save it and u gain it even more when u don't care bout it.... That's how I understand that scripture oo.... I nor know about this una scattered interpretations oo

Preaching the gospel of Christ and going into places not minding the violence there nor thinking what will happen to u where ever you go to and preach gospel.. If you dont give a damn and u are determined that the gospel must be preached and be heard and u went the extra mile to do such... Not minding if u die or live... Provided you are doing the will of your father which sent thee... You sha not loose it... Cos he will protect you...

But peradventure you lost your life through the process of preaching the gospel (example is that case of that lady that was killed by the Muslims cos she was preaching Christ... She dint consider the death consequences.. She went ahead and did exactly what her master jesus instructed her... And I believe she is resting in the right hand of God now) she gained life eternity cos I know she did!!...... That's is the true definition of that scripture...

Abeg I don tire to type self..

Is Jesus God?
MANY people view the Trinity as “the central doctrine of the Christian religion.” According to this teaching, the Father, Son, and holy spirit are three persons in one God. Cardinal John O’Connor stated about the Trinity: “We know that it is a very profound mystery, which we don’t begin to understand.” Why is the Trinity so difficult to understand?
The Illustrated Bible Dictionary gives one reason. Speaking of the Trinity, this publication admits: “It is not a biblical doctrine in the sense that any formulation of it can be found in the Bible.” Because the Trinity is “not a biblical doctrine,” Trinitarians have been desperately looking for Bible texts—even twisting them—to find support for their teaching.
A Text That Teaches the Trinity?
One example of a Bible verse that is often misused is John 1:1. In the King James Version, that verse reads: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God [Greek, ton the·onʹ], and the Word was God [the·osʹ].” This verse contains two forms of the Greek noun the·osʹ (god). The first is preceded by ton (the), a form of the Greek definite article, and in this case the word the·onʹ refers to Almighty God. In the second instance, however,
the·osʹ has no definite article. Was the article mistakenly left out?
Why is the Trinity doctrine so difficult to understand?
The Gospel of John was written in Koine, or common Greek, which has specific rules regarding the use of the definite article. Bible scholar A. T. Robertson recognizes that if both subject and predicate have articles, “both are definite, treated as identical, one and the same, and interchangeable.” Robertson considers as an example Matthew 13:38, which reads: “The field [Greek, ho a·grosʹ] is the world [Greek, ho koʹsmos].” The grammar enables us to understand that the world is also the field.
What, though, if the subject has a definite article but the predicate does not, as in John 1:1? Citing that verse as an example, scholar James Allen Hewett emphasizes: “In such a construction the subject and predicate are not the same, equal, identical, or anything of the sort.”
To illustrate, Hewett uses 1 John 1:5, which says: “God is light.” In Greek, “God” is ho the·osʹ and therefore has a definite article. But phos for “light” is not preceded by any article. Hewett points out: “One can always . . . say of God He is characterized by light; one cannot always say of light that it is God.” Similar examples are found at John 4:24, “God is a Spirit,” and at 1 John 4:16, “God is love.” In both of these verses, the subjects have definite articles but the predicates, “Spirit” and “love,” do not. So the subjects and predicates are not interchangeable. These verses cannot mean that “Spirit is God” or “love is God.”
Identity of “the Word”?
Many Greek scholars and Bible translators acknowledge that John 1:1 highlights, not the identity, but a quality of “the Word.” Says Bible translator William Barclay: “Because [the apostle John] has no definite article in front of theos it becomes a description . . . John is not here identifying the Word with God. To put it very simply, he does not say that Jesus was God.” Scholar Jason David BeDuhn likewise says: “In Greek, if you leave off the article from theos in a sentence like the one in John 1:1c, then your readers will assume you mean ‘a god.’ . . . Its absence makes
theos quite different than the definite ho theos, as different as ‘a god’ is from ‘God’ in English.” BeDuhn adds: “In John 1:1, the Word is not the one-and-only God, but is a god, or divine being.” Or to put it in the words of Joseph Henry Thayer, a scholar who worked on the American Standard Version: “The Logos [or, Word] was divine, not the divine Being himself.”
Jesus made a clear distinction between him and his Father
Does the identity of God have to be “a very profound mystery”? It did not seem so to Jesus. In his prayer to his Father, Jesus made a clear distinction between him and his Father when he said: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3) If we believe Jesus and understand the plain teaching of the Bible, we will respect him as the divine Son of God that he is. We will also worship Jehovah as “the only true God.”

JWs exposed

oneolajire:
What a pity! The modern day JWs can't even read through archives and discover the faulty foundations laid by their leaders. They just swallow all errors passed to them line hook and sinker.

READ 16 TERRIBLE LIES OF JWS

JW is the only true religion/christian: JW claim to be the only true religion/christian, so other Christians are false Christians. However, JW is a lifeless organisation that teaches falsehood and cannot withstand cohorts of principalities and powers of the devil. The reason why they are preaching to you because they believe all what you hear in church are false and they have the monopoly of God's truth.

2. Those who go to church follow false doctrines: JW'S claim that churches are shrines as they are not recognised by God and that God only recognises only one organisation called JW organisation. That is why the six letter word CHURCH (Matt 16:18) is not written in the so fake bible (new world translation of the holy scriptures) of the JW'S but replaced with 'organisation'. Church is got from a Greek word 'ecclesia' which means, gathering of God's people, called out out ones, people of Christ (Act 8:3, 1 Cor 1:2, 1 Pet 2:9).

3. They are following the command of Christ to announce God's kingdom: JW will never preach to juju people, ritualist, ogbonis, babalawos because JWs doctrines is powerless. Ask them of the number of worship centres they have in Iran, Iraq,
Afghanistan and other difficult places. Does it mean these neglected people don't need God's kingdom? The truth is that they only preach where christianity has been established. They confuse those who are on the way to heaven because they have little knowledge of God's word by promising them a kingdom on earth.

4. Man is not a Spirit Being. They claim that man is a composition of two things, clay and breath from God. 1 Thessalonian 5:23 makes us to know that man is made of Spirit, soul and body. Act 7:52, shows us that Stephen's spirit was to go to Jesus. Paul said 'I go to be with Jesus when I die', he didn't say he's going to the grave. We fellowship in the spirit realm (John 4:24), means (human) spirits communicates with God(spirit) or other spiritual beings. Heb 4:12, Rom 12:2, soul/mind in the intellectual (reasoning) part of a man. So man is a Spirit being who has a soul, the intellectual realm while we only live in the body.

When people die, they go somewhere, Philippian 1:21-24, Act 7:59, Luke 16:20-31, just because they are spirit beings who live in the body

5. Jesus is not worthy of worship: JWs always denigrate the person of Jesus, they will never sing our church songs nor pray with us because we worship Jesus. Heb 1:6 Jehovah says Jesus should be worshipped. Rev 5:8-14, Matt 2:11 also supported the worship of Jesus. JWs are only fighting a lost battle for being angry to worship Jesus. The JWs fake bible replaced 'worship' with 'pay obeisance' wherever people worship Jesus.

6. There is no hell/lake of fire. JW teaches that God cannot send people to hell as he has made the earth for mankind. They claim those who don't believe in Jesus Christ would not resurrect or would have an abrupt end.  Anyway, the Bible teaches eternity in heaven (for those who follow the teachings of Jesus and eternity in hell (Rev 21:15, 22: for those who do otherwise. If there were no lake of fire, the rich man wouldn't have tried to prevent his relatives from witnessing same torment (Luke 16:20-31)

7. Jesus is an angel, precisely Angel Michael. JWs claim the statements 'sons of God' (Gen 6:2) refers to angels. So Jesus is God's firstborn son and Michael is the Arch angel, therefore Jesus is angel Michael( 1 Thes 5:16). JWs are wrong. Angels are spirits, servants of those who inherit salvation (Heb 1:14). Heb chapter 1 & 2 were written to the Hebrews (and to us) to purposely educate them (us) that Jesus is not an angel.

8. Nobody is in heaven: John 3: 13, Jesus told Nicodemus that 'nobody has ascended to heaven'.
This place is quoted out of context. Jesus was telling Nicodemus that He is the only one who has being in heaven and come down to earth, and nobody has gone up there and returned to earth to tell us heavenly things. JW's don't want to know where Elijah went. Ascention means lifting up of a bodyly being but believers go to heaven in spirit form (Act 7:52).

9. Other Christians worship three Gods (polyetheism)  as they worship only one God (monotheism). Bible truth goes thus:  EMMANUEL means JEHOVAH WITH US (Matt 1:23). Jesus is God in human flesh John 1:1&14, 1Tim 3:16. In Rev 1:6-8 Jesus is all that Jehovah is, the ALMIGHTY. In Isaiah 9:6, Jesus is the everlasting father. Philippians 2:6 tells us Jesus is a form of God-in human flesh.
God is a Spirit in John 4:24, in Rom 8: 9, Spirit of God and Spirit of Christ were interchanged, which also is the Holy Spirit.
You can see that we worship only one God (1 Cor 8:4) who relates with man in three forms. This is uniqueness of Christianity.

JWs made a terrible mistake in their NWT (fake bible) in Matt 3:3, Mark 1:3, Luke3:4, John 1;23. John prepared the way of "Jehovah" and Jesus was the "Jehovah" whom John prepared his way.

10. Man will live forever in this earth. Matthew 5:5 is their favourite verse. JW's claim that the garden of Eden lost by Adam would be restored on earth (eternal life).

JWs can be so ridiculous, they want to inherit Dangote's cement factories as well as his refinery under construction.
They want to enjoy the wealth of Bill Gate and Mark Zuckerberg.
The creator of heaven and earth says they will pass away, JWs are saying no to God's word. Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31. They will be burnt by fire 2Pet 3:7and 12. They will give way for a new heaven and earth, not a panelbeated, renovated or recycled heaven and earth.

JWs claim they want to inherit the earth Matt5:5. People could be moralist, idol worshipper, agnoist, atheist and still be meek despite rejecting the gospel. If meekness is what it takes, Jesus didn't need to die, he would only have concentrated his teachings on meekness. Meanwhile, there is nothing to inherit in this earth

Matthew 5:5 is only saying that those who are meek will enjoy their stay on earth during their lifetime (befo

11. Participating in competitions e.g. sports, debate, etc are sinful 2 Cor 10:12. They misinterpreted the bible. Though their members have so much passion for competive sports, yet they are hypocrites when it comes sticking to this doctrines of theirs. 1,Cor 9:25. Even Paul told us that those who run run to win prizes as he would have condemned competition in this verse while he would have categorised competitive sports as sin in several places of the scriptures. When we excel in competitions, it brings glory to God as his children.

12. Accepting blood transfusion is sinful: Act 15:20 also misinterpreted. JW's can't prove with the bible any account of blood transfusion in the bible, so how does 'abstain from blood' means 'reject blood transfusion'? However, if we should follow the word 'abstain', then we should run away from blood of fish, goats and other animals as well as injured people and women giving birth. Unfortunately, they do not have any bible record of blood transfusion prior to the time of the first Apostles to justify that their claim.

13. Marking or celebrating days is unbiblical. JW's don't celebrate easter, christmas and new year. They refused to see what the bible says that those who keeps a day should keep it for the Lord Romans 14:6. Philippian 4:4. Unfortunately, the celebrate wedding anniversary, what an hypocricy?

14. Participating in secular governance and politics should be avoided. They hold on to 1 Cor 4:4 where bible says that the devil is the 'god of this world'. So they claim being part of the world government means being ruled by the devil. They claim to await God's kingdom on earth to be ruled by Jesus (theocracy). They neither say the national anthems, pledges nor salute flags because of these reason (they also refer to them as worship). Bible teaches that God appointed rulers over us Rom 13: 1-7, Titus 3:1 God would have told is if he doesn't want us not to be part the leaders. The truth is that the devil had been in operation before the nation of Israel, so David, Hezekiah, Daniel and other faithfuls wouldn't have been permitted by God if truely God doesn't want us to part of government.

15. Being in military is wrong. JW's claim they are not for fight but for peace, because God's kingdom is for peace. In Act 10, we see how a senior army officer (and his household) got born again and got baptised in the Holy Spirit. Peter would have compelled Cornilius to resign from the Italian regiment if being in the army was sinful. Moreover, Jesus healed the servant of another senior military officer (Matt 8:5-11) without Jesus saying anything negative about his participation in the army.

16. Jesus is a created being Col 1:15. JW held tight to this verse and misinterpreted it. Jesus was the creator who entered creation to save mankind. Anyone who will enter this world must take the form of creation before he can be born Col 1:16, Philippian 2:5-8.

WHO ARE THE JWs?

1. They are people who use human wisdom to interpret God's word. They lack spiritual understanding as the natural human wisdom cannot receive God's wisdom (1 Cor 2: 12-14, John 14:26)

2. They are people who lack revelation of GOD AND THE HOLY SPIRIT (Eph 1:17-18)

3 They are spiritually DEAF.  John 10:27, they don't hear God's audible voice speaking to them, so they want you to join them so you'll become spiritually deaf.

4 They are empty in the spiritual realm, so powerless a doctrine. No healing, miracle, vision, prophesy, all because they lack the Holy Spirit and that is why they cannot confront juju power and the likes.

5. They don't preach salvation from sin, repentance, sanctification and righteousness, as a prerequisite for God's kingdom. They only tell people to come and study and start preaching heresy.

6 They lack revelation of heaven: In Isaiah 6, Act 7: 55-56, Rev 4, God's people saw the revelations of heaven and God is still showing Christians what heaven looks like, but none of the JWs has ever seen heaven. Christians can see where we are going, jws cannot see their end.

7. They are followers of a man named Russell Charles Taze. He made lost of false predictions and teachings.

http://thewatchtowerfiles.com/did-charles-taze-https://carm.org/jehovahs-witnesses-and-their-many-false-prophecies-predict-1914-as-christs/

Read more of him on various encyclopedia as well

JWs doctrine looks attractive to you if
1. You have a shallow knowledge of God's word
2. You live in sin (lying, worldliness, sexual immoralities e.t.c.)
3. You don't allow the Holy Spirit to teach you more of God.
4. You don't go for evangelism

Hmmm. Of course Jesus is a god. A mighty god but he's not the Almighty God. Simple English. Compare in your Bible.

Jesus never called himself God.
What did he say when someone called him GOOD?

When Thomas called Jesus "My Lord and my God" did he rebuke him for "blasphemy"?

How many Gods do we have?

Is Jesus Almighty God? The Bible’s answer
Jesus’ opposers accused him of making himself equal to God. ( John 5:18; 10:30-33) However, Jesus never claimed to be on the same level as Almighty God. He said: “The Father is greater than I am.”—
John 14:28.
Jesus’ early followers did not view him as being equal to Almighty God. For example, the apostle Paul wrote that after Jesus was resurrected, God “exalted him [Jesus] to a superior position.” Obviously, Paul did not believe that Jesus was Almighty God. Otherwise, how could God exalt Jesus to a superior position? —Philippians 2:9.

When servants of God assemble and pray together, their petitions can be effective. If the group is united in spirit and the prayer offered in their behalf reflects Scriptural principles, God is pleased. The prayer may even move him to do what he might not otherwise have done. ( Hebrews 13:18, 19) Jehovah’s Witnesses pray regularly at their meetings. You are cordially invited to come to a Kingdom Hall near you and hear such prayers for yourself.

Jesus Christ is the WORD of God. John 1vs 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Now that same word came in Flesh and was given the name (Emmanuel ) Jesus Christ now any one who doesn't accept Jesus is rejecting Gods Word

John 1:1

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

What else do you want after that verse told you that the word who was God latter became flesh (Jesus)?

When did the word stopped being God?
