"MI, Ice prince, Tu face, Praiz, Darey are from the middlebelt and made it without singing in yoruba, so nothing new about the few igbos like Phyno and Flavour. Timaya, Iyanya, Cynthia Morgan, Omawumi, Burna boy e.t.c are from the Niger delta and made it tok without singing yoruba".

All these non Igbos your Are mentioning are cool, but P Square eclipses them all.

Even real Igbos like P-square have adopted Jos as their hometowns and hardly ever have anything to do with Anambra. So i think you can just stick to Flavour n Phyno.

This lady is out of her mind.

How exactly did P-square adopt Jos as their hometowns? How many times have you seen them sing in Jos language?

Who doesn't know that P-square is from Ifite dunu in Njikoka LGA when half of their songs are sang in Igbo and with many Igbo words?

This is the reason why Biafra can never work, because other tribes are so welcoming to the Igbos and so many Igbos have adopted other places as their hometowns.

Mikel and Psquare may have mansions in Uk, Us, Lagos, Abuja, but their family house, childhood and teenage friends, well wishers, memories and Upbringing continues to remain in the great middlebelt city of Jos.

If you go and ask ppl like Psquare or Mikel now if they want Biafra, they will land u a very dirty slap on your face. because these people can never leave their JOS, home sweet home.

How many ppl from other tribes can boast about Aba or Onitsha as such?

You're probably too blind to see where I highlighted his initial submission where he clearly and categorically stated that and I quote '' If push comes to shove ,The Igbos will reclaim their land wherever it may be'' that means the original people that inhabited such places for ages actually fell from the sky and the land belongs to the Igbos? smh.

I will attribute your outburst to poor reading comprehension.
My question is still relevant and is independent of the comment you quoted.

The dust is still yet to settle on Oba Rilwan Akiolu's anti-Igbo statement made over the weekend. Several politicians, commentators and celebrities have expressed their thoughts on the highly controversial issue.

The CEO of Mavin Records (popularly now referred to as the Supreme Mavin Dynasty) has come out to air his mind on the Oba of Lagos' statement which threatened death on Igbos who won't vote for the APC gubernatorial candidate on April 11, 2015.

Yesterday, April 7, 2015 a Twitter account with the handle @Iam_SkySwag asked Don Jazzy why he had kept quiet about the issue. @Iam_SkySwag also insinuated that because Don Jazzy did not want to talk about the issue because he is close to the Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola.

The prolific hitmaker munched these tweets directed at him and posted them on his Instagram account. In the caption below the picture, Don Jazzy expressed his thoughts on the whole issue.

"I am a Nigerian first and an Igbo man second. Fashola has treated everyone in Lagos fairly as far as I know and I am proud to be associated with him. #mentor" he wrote.

He further wrote "As a wise/civilized/respectful Igbo man, I will not desecrate the stool of royalty, even tho I totally frown at that recording. But I will tell you for free that we all have the freedom to choose whom to vote for & no one can force you or me to vote as he/she pleases. #IDJA."

All that needs to be done to forever erase the slog of who is real Igbo and who is not, is for the Igbos of South East to support the creation of Anioma State... This will go a long way to reduce the agitation for Biafra. South East needs two extra State to balance the equation.

I don't know that there were aborigines however, the significant corruption of the language spoken by
Bini emigres, your place names being Igbo, your progenitor having an exclusively Igbo title bestowed upon him and his name changed from whatever it was to a name with an exclusively Igbo alphabet point to the existence of Igbo/ Igboid aborigines in what is now known as Anioma. If however, your progenitor's original name was Eze Chime, it would point to a reverse migration eastward of an Igbo man/ clan.

Some of your songs are usually Igbo themed, showing you are still very close to your roots. How would you say this has affected your music and personality?

Sometimes, if we don’t sing in Igbo, our people will crucify us (laughs). If you listen to P-Square, you will hear Igbo, English, Pidgin English; even French we try. For us, English is a universal language and I’m not singing in Igbo to try and please my people but I like to inculcate my culture through music.

Donarozzi:

I completely understand the issue of identity crisis in certain parts of Igboland (that is, Anioma and Ikwerre areas). I humbly say that Igbo leaders from the Eastern side of Igboland have contributed more to this identity crisis because there have been so many clear opportunities which they could have utilized to bring Anioma and Ikwerre areas back into the larger Igbo fold, but they (the Eastern leaders) allowed those opportunities to slip away by giving baseless and senseless excuses.

Psychology is a powerful thing that can turn your mindset positively or negatively. The fundamental cause of the identity crisis in the Anioma and Ikwerre areas of Igboland is the psychology of geo-political alienation from the larger Igbo populace. The colonial masters and subsequent Nigerian military rulers created this geo-political confusion by portioning Igboland into different regions. I am not going to prolong this explanation. Rather, I am here to bring a vivid solution and a positive change. This was the same thing Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe talked about in 1949 when he said that all parts of Igboland should be in the same region. So, the task facing Igbo leadership is to identify all Igbo villages, organize re-orientation meetings and Igbo Unity Conference, declare that all parts of Igboland must be merged together in one geo-political region, and work seriously to achieve the goal. Once this is achieved, the identity crisis is fundamentally eradicated.
... Great point my brother. The greatest mistake that OHANAEZE Ndigbo made was when the allow the opportunity to create ANIOMA STATE as part of South East slips out of them. Yes I quite understand their fear, concerns but it is a risk worth taking. The solutions you proffered above is very superb in bringing all Ndigbo across all boards under one umbrella. The challenge solely rest in our generation now to correct this injustice and anomaly.

This is one struggle I am ready to sacrifice my life, resources and time to see to its actualization. God bless Ndigbo.

The major reason Anioma state was not supported in entirety during state creation requests for SE in 1999 is due to the identity crisis issue going on in the state, which was started or created by some of the Aniomas themselves. Had some of the elements in Anioma not started the 'I am not Igbo' game in the first place, I am sure that Igbos would have supported its state creation. The Igbos wanted a state where there would be no identity issues and they were assured that the people affirmed their Igbo identity and they simply opted for a state creation within the SE zone. To me, this is simply an action of the Igbos that indicates a lack of interest in 'forcing' aniomas to be Igbos because the creation of anioma and its inclusion in the SE zone would be viewed by many within the same anioma as 'Igbo land grabbing'. The sudden turn around now by some Aniomas to accuse and hate the Igbos for not 'land grabbing' their lands is surprising, to say the least.

For this very reason, Igbos are not all trusting or assured of the loyalty of some Anioma or Rivers Igbos and would rather prefer one from the SE to represent them no matter what, because no matter how bad the situation is no SE Igbo will deny being Igbo for anything. However, this is not so true for some Anioma Igbos. Sure enough, some Anioma Igbos proudly wear their Igbo identity such as Ngozi Iweala, Jay Jay Okocha, Elumelu, Obi of Asaba, Patrick Okechukwu Utomi etc. and they can be trusted but with the way things are now the average Anioma Igbo will really have to prove himself to be Igbo to gain Igbo trust in political affairs. Even in politics or in the office, leaders hardly put in leadership positions people they are not assured of their loyalty or allegiance. It is anti-Igbo attitudes from people like genieluv, chukysblog, ehikwe22 etc. from Anioma (if they truly are anyway) that make the SE Igbos hand off politically and show little interest in Anioma politics to avoid being called 'land grabbers', only for some of the Aniomas to turn around and accuse the Igbos for not being interested in their affairs. The Igbo gets blamed for everything. It is always our fault.

Well, you can't blame the Igbos for this. The Anioma deniers all started this. That's just how it is. Any other tribe in the Igbo shoes will act the same way.

Pls, this excuse of yours is not good enough.
The Ebonyi state that you people now decided to support is now the poorest igbo state and that state is now failing and a laughing stock for Igbo nation.

Many Ilorin and Lokoja indigenes deny yoruba identity, but i bet you that yorubas will prefer a state that will re-unite Kwara and Kogi yorubas back to them over any other thing without thinking of the deniers there.

And don't give that crap about not wanting to be seen to grab anioma lands as any reason, selfishness was the main reason why you people refused Onitsha to join Anioma state simply because you guys don't want Anioma people to own Onitsha or control your people therein.

I think i really need to give you IPOB members a break and only respond to reasonable people like BigFrancis and Chukzyblingz or any other reasonable person.
Ciao, Au revoir and good riddance.

[s]Pls, this excuse of yours is not good enough.

And don't give that crap about not wanting to be seen to grab anioma lands as any reason, selfishness was the main reason why you people refused Onitsha to join Anioma state simply because you guys don't want Anioma people to own Onitsha or control your people therein.[/s]
Ebonyi, a blessed State, with thriving human and natural resources. The ogbongidi is still circumnavigating round blabbing the same old story. cool

Hehe! Run! Run along. Your lies have been busted, Northern woman.

Igbos can be born anywhere in the world because we are naturally adventurous people. But our allegiance will always be first and foremost to Igboland, and not to those places we were born.
Keeping good friends in those our places of residence is a reflection of the kind of people we are. " Ojemba enwe ilo". A traveller doesn't keep enemies.
