Good morning guys. please Top feed and Vital feed starter which one should I use? first two weeks I used vital feed bcoz that's what the seller recommended for me and people are saying Top feed would have been better. please how many weeks am I going to give them starter before I start giving them finisher?

I use Vital pre-starter for 2weeks before using broiler starter and my birds weigh about 1.5kg by the 5th week!
I think it depends on the birds, feed and management. If you buy good birds like Oba marshal, Bachelor, Chi etc and manage your birds well with good feed whether vital, topfeeds or Rico gado, you should get good results. cheers.

I noticed my 16 weeks old POL birds passing some pasty brown dropping. They look very healthy. I have been following their vaccination plan religiously, treat coccidiosis once a month. Please what could be the cause? What can I do to restore normalcy?
PS: I noticed this with about 30% of the flock.

Are they on deep litter? Are they currently on vitamins? When last did you give them anticocci?
If they are on vitamins, it happens. But if otherwise, try treating cocci.

First of all, 8 bags per day isn't adequate for 1845 laying birds. You should feed them with at least 9 bags per day. Do that and place them on multivitamins for a week and let's know the outcome.

I did as u all advised. Increase their feeds to 9 bags and i also placed them on embacyryl for 6days. Guess it flushed the Newcastle in them.am doin 80% now but the increase in cost of feeds is eating up the effort. Am only having 14-15 crates as ROI for now. Pls I also have 14weeks pullet now. How can I prevent them from Newcastle disease . because its such a spoiler. Thanx.

*Yes, they are deep littered.

*Not presently, I gave vitamins + antibiotics from Tuesday through to Friday because they were stress as a result of debeaking and weren't feeding well.

* I treated cocci early this month.

Please i really need help to know what issue i am having with my layers age 27 weeks 6 days. i started recording mortality since 23 of February. i have a total of 1112 birds before the mortality started. Below is the details of death per day and the drugs i have given them so far. please expert in the house help ooo. The birds are just reach 42% production also at almost 28 weeks.
