i intend to start a small scale poultry for egg production with about 150 birds in an uncompleted building(with windows, kind of a boys quarter attached to my house) but though i have an open space at my back yard too. so my question are is it okay to use the uncompleted building? i have no means of getting income that is no job except family and friends intervention ... xo aw much money will suffix before profits start coming in to sustain? would day old or point of lay be preferred ? advice and suggestions needed. thanks location: Edo state Auchi. 1 Like |

sanctusc77: It is wrong, allow them to pay to at least 5% capacity before boosting, it's like using fertility drugs when you have not even started menstruation. 2 Likes |

Fongido:Vitalfeed have reduced their quantity in the 25 kg bag. Not really recommended. Go for Rico Gado, Hybrid or Top feed. |
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by IdisuleOurOwn(m): 8:09pm On Feb 28, 2017 |
EMMAACHILE: No wonder my pullets are not adding weight the way I expect. Imagine at week 15 and 3 days they are weighing 1.2kg. Can I convert to Rico Gado or it is too late? And how much is the current price of the Rico gado grower and layer mash? |
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Nobody: 8:49pm On Feb 28, 2017 |
IdisuleOurOwn:i say they have reduced their quantity in their bags and not quality oh! Its 1.5 paint bucket against the normal 2 paint bucket for 25kg bag. Its likely also the quality is also down. Anything i feed my noilers with vitalfeed grower mash, they loose a lot of feathers as compared to Rico Gado feeds. Layer pellet =3400 Grower pellet/mash =3000 Chick mash =3400 |
