I see them as irresponsible even though they might outrightly not be. Don't know if its just me buh I hate to even stay close to them..if anyone walks up to me and I find out he smokes, I bluntly tell them NO and that there's no need for us to talk..I just feel there's this bad stigma attached to them..am I overreacting? is there another person with this sheer hatred for smokers?

as long as he doesn't do it in my presence thn we good . Smoking is a bad habit though . It doesn't do any good except harm your health

I don't care if they smoke, I care what they smoke. I see nothing irresponsible about a guy that smokes cigarettes. In fact, all my exes smoked. Drugs however, that's where I draw the line because some of the behaviour that comes with it, is irresponsible & just plain irrational.

If you don't like the habit, fine, that's your own conviction. But I think it's narrow minded to reach a verdict about someone's personality based on something as average as smoking, long before you get to know to them on a much deeper level. That to me is village mentality.

When I was an undergraduate I discovered most smart guys back in d days do weed and majority of them had good grades
Smokers are in different categories :
Some smoke for fun,which are the less creative ones
While some smokes for reasons, you might not even know they smoke,
Just be who you are
Copy nobody
Every person can never be of same likes
But habitual acceptance shows wisdom
