Hello all pls kindly advice me on what next to do cause am confused. I applied n got a b1/b2 visa in 2014 for vacation, used it twice for vacation n my 3rd visit was for childbirth last year.I gave birth, paid all my bills n got my zero balance letter n came back to Nigeria few days to the 6 months that was stamped on my passport (I left for us when I was 6 months pregnant, baby came at 41weeks n was advised by my doctor to let her have her first immunization which is at 2 months plus the passport processing n all). The problem now is that I submitted my passport for renewal in January but was called for an interview in Abj n was refused,I reapplied today again n was refused.
Vo-why are you going to Florida
Me-Short vacation to celebrate our wedding anniversary n daughters bday
Vo-What do u do
Me-Am a PR manager with-----
Vo-Is your husband here in Abj
Me-yes
Vo-Sorry I can't approve your visa now
I was hurt cause I used the visa well, paid all my bills but she didn't even ask any question that will make me explain myself.I want to reapply asap, pls what do u advice I write as the reason why I was refused?Am thinking of going to reapply in Lagos cause that's where I was issued the previous one plus the rate at which they were just dashing out green paper today is discouraging

Dear All,

Following my last post regarding the change of intent letter, I sent an update of intent to their Abuja office and got an automated reply giving me answers to some Frequently asked questions and asking me to resend my mail to their Lagos office if it relates to an immigrant visa case. I really dont know if this is the generic response or if I should still write the Lagos office. Is the automated reply sufficient?

I will really appreciate your input on this.

[quote author=Fiwajoluwa post=57057254]I would even advice you find a better sponsor because why cant your husband sponsor will be the first question
when grown ass people cant sponsor themselves is another issue
People need to know getting a visa is all about showing how responsible you are and they also wanna know you are financially capable to handle the trip
Childbirth journey na real money dey kill am o even if it were to vacay purposes i doubt they would be happy to give you.
MIL pension to sponsor child birth. Kwa! Think am well o my sister and dont waste time and money

My husband was denied Visa few months ago. Our passports are both virgin. My MIL is widely travelled so I was thinking using her as a sponsor would boost our chances.

Your Mother In Law being "widely travelled" and her being your sponsor are two completely different things.

Hello everyone. I'm new here, have been reading this thread for the past one month. I'm planning to have my 1st missionary journey (first time mum). -i'm yet to apply for visa coz I need some clarity. My MIL is the sponsor (we would be travelling together). she's a retiree who earns pension . However she just sold a property and the money was deposited into her account. This account is what she intends to present as her account statement for our trip, sure the amount in there Is more than enough for the missionary journey. My question is, since there's a sudden inflow of cash into the account, would that raise an eyebrow? Is there something to worry about? She's widely travelled so her passport isn't virgin.
Pls suggestions and advice are welcomed.

Reading those sections in bold the first thing that came to my mind is..this is not fair

fasttrack:

Were they serious they have cancelled child birth in the US

Houston POE is becoming really tough. I was delayed for 5 hours. The CBP officers purposely didn't want to attend to me as they kept picking up and dropping my passport. One of the officers a lady there said she wasn't ready to attend to any baby mama. Who be baby mama? So just get your acts together from the word Go or else be ready for serious drilling. They are getting tired of the huge preggos coming to Houston.

Send to both Lagos and Abuja. The Lagos reply was better to me.

I think the length of stay here could be a problem. Almost 6 months with a job?
Do you have enough ties back home or your whole family is suppose to travel with you? That could be a red flag coupled with the fact you stayed very very long.

All the same, I agree with Lagos. Try your best to control the conversation during the interview so that u can supply the salient infos that will help your application.
This is difficult, but it can be done smartly. Best of luck.
