The level of of ignorance here is most embarrassing.
Your answers are staring you in the face.

Now , by your assertion, Nigeria, being supposedly in control of ECOWAS, should also be the one that breaks ECOWAS most vital and primary rules ?
You're thinking like a typical Nigerian, and therefore shouldn't be offended if someone tells you that you happily domiciled in a Zoo.., or is it a Jungle? undecided

i repeat, no nation no treaty, no international laws, no ECOWAS can force nigeria (with its own sovereign and law) to accept Biafra citizen. only a bill from the NASS declaring an ermbago on goods and human movement is enough.
Ecowas can try to sanction nigeria if dey like.

Laudate, I've followed your back and forth with this poster, but this particular post of his got me scratching my head like WTF!

Nigeria making a law (that should be a policy by the way) not to trade with biafra dude says is an "international law"? shocked

Dahell!

Mr Op, such an act is called a "foreign policy" and not an international law as you put it. An international law is ESSENTIALLY a law that was agreed on by several independent sovereign states under a common body such as the UN.

An international law MUST have signatories (nation STATES) who observe such laws. When a country makes a unilateral decision, be that a law or a policy, it can NEVER be referred to as an international law. Except of course we live in a world with a One World government.

In fact, I no wan talk again because I see say the guy no even understand wetin dem dey call international law. He is just chanting "international law" up and down, as if it is a magic wand of some sort. cheesy Even when a country signs a treaty, it still has to ratify it and domesticate it within its own internal body of laws, for it to have effect within its' borders.

There are several types of international laws. Ask him to cite the specific one he is making reference to, and you would see him looking blank.

I am sorry, and pls don't take it personal, but there is an alarming dearth of critical thinking skills amongst Nigerians.

I do know that. Ive always said that. If you look in the mirror or recorded your thoughts out loud and played it back, you will recognize that. grin

You guys do lack critical thinking skills. Maybe a lack of folic acid in your diets as kids, you think? Or maybe lack of cold milk? Too much lead based paints in your homes? Or just the overall stress of living worrisome from birth to death? I don't know, you should be in a better position to tell me.

Smart guy,as per your first line. So under the cover of ECOWAS treaties and charter you'd have two countries-Biafra and the Zoo. That's the implication of what you saying.
Lol.
If that's the way you understand it, then it's surely not my fault.

Many Nigerians reside in neighboring and outside countries as either legal residents, illegal residents or dual citizens.
Likewise, many people of other nationalities also reside in Nigeria as legal residents or citizens..

It is quite stuuupid to think or suggest that Biafra, if and when recognized as a sovereign country, would be an exception to the rule.

Problem with people like you is that you cant help but see everything from the point of view of a Nigerian. The world is a big place, it doesnt end and stop in Nigeria.

In 2002, East Timor seceded from Indonesia. Indonesia is 5 times bigger than Nigeria, a population of over 250 million people and is richer than Nigeria. Some people thought that East Timor would never survive without Indonesia. Today, East Timor is doing well and enjoying there freedom.

I have great confidence in my Igbo people, we are one of the most resourceful people you can find in Africa. The greatest resource a people can have is not oil or gas, it is human potential. Igbos have a lot of human potential, all they need is control of their own land to make things happen. Im from Anambra, an Oil producing state with on of the largest Gas reserves in Nigeria. But Im not even looking at these things. Im looking at the manufacturing potential of my area as soon we can free our selves from the cursed Nigerian 'power holding' start generating electricity with our coal in Enugu. We want to explore the agro-allied potential of Ebonyi, the production of Aba, the potential of Nnewi as the japan of Africa. The huge oil potential of Abia and Imo. The potential of an independent Biafra comprising of Igbos and the minorities who comfortable is incredible. All we need is to get out of the control of Abuja as an independent country.

Biafra will not be easy at first, but we shall overcome. I believe that within 15 years of Biafra existing, it will have the biggest GDP in Africa.
Bro abeg wake up. Day don clock grin

MMM in the midst of the recession was a sweet dream. Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, educated, intelligent people were hypnotised by the lure of easy money. When I joined the bandwagon I hated and attacked those who called for caution, anyone who said please reason this thing out, I looked at him like leper, a kill joy. The only people I loved were the Mavrodians. We loved each other die. The more fanatical you were the better. We dreamed together, praised Mavrodi as our god and savior who had come to save us from recession.

Guy you know the rest of that tragic story.

Now a new, shining dream has come again. The mass mind, unthinking, unreasoning has kicked into effect.
Today if you say 'Nwoke, Bia think this Biafra thing oo, look at it from another angle, consider the variables, a cackle of hostile voices will cry Afonja!!!!(but I love that billy goat meme screaming Afonja, have you seen it? East Timor is not Nigeria or Indonesia and it's even ridiculous to compare your own situation and environment with others several thousands miles away from you.

The problem with you people is always lack of critical thinking, you formulate your thoughts based on sentiments and emotions instead of well though out reasoning and strategies.

Ojukwu took millions of your people to war without weapons and clear cut ideas and strategies and millions perished because of that foolish and irresponsible act.

Another clown is asking you to risk everything and your and your people are not asking critical and crucial questions, you are not asking him for the necessary ground work and planning necessary to sustain a Nation.

Have you asked him what he's going to do or how to resettle millions of your returnees?

Have you asked him anything about customs, borders, military, law enforcement, judicial system, education and health policies, governing body and elections, tax and IGR policies and the constitution needed to govern you from day one or he's just going to make that up from thin air?

Do you people really think beating chest and abusing people on the internet and home video is all you need to run a country.

You are heading for another self destruction. I don't even know why you people are hard learners.

East Timor is an example of a country that seceded from a bigger country and still managed to survive. I used it as an example to show that a country can many challenges after secession but they are not insurmountable.

When it comes to the issue of Biafra, Biafra is actually one of the most peaceful movements for freedom and self determination in the world, it has always been that way. It is you Nigerians that bring death, violence and war into the issue of Biafra.

Take Ojukwu for example. Ojukwu recieved a mandate from the Eastern Nigeria consultative assembly to declare the Easter Region a separate country, which he did. Gowon could have asked for meeting with Ojukwu to resolve the Biafran issue, he could have gone for a referendum. Of all the peaceful options Gowon could have gone for, he chose war as his first resort instead of the last. It was you Nigerians that came down to the East where people were enjoying their new found freedom and started shooting. How did you people think you would achieve 'one Nigeria' by killing millions?

Now, Kanu and IPOB are once again asking for referendum within the SS/SE to allow those who are tired of 'one Nigeria' to go their way. Again, you Nigerians are beating war drums despite that the agitators have not killed or harmed anybody. Infact, it is your Nigerian security agents who have shot and killed them.

All this talk about Judiciary, tax, health policy etc you mentioned is not new to Biafra. Have we forgotten that Biafra maintained all these policies and intitutions despite fighting a war? Is it in now that Biafrans can no longer do it again? When Biafra is declared, Biafra can have a national conference and decide any outstanding issue

I will never understand you Nigerians always looking fir war just because Lord Lugard told you all we are one

Oga, keep living in your fantasy world. The Kalabaris, Ijaw, Ogoni, Annang, Efik, Ibibio etc., and other minorities will soon show you a clear picture of today's reality. smh Don't be deceived by Asari Dokubo's posturing.

Leave them, nah! grin When push comes to shove, everybody will answer im papa name. cheesy

Do me the singular honor of checking out my posts, I am not a tribalist. I can not reduce myself to a simpleton. I am not even a nationalist, I do not put myself in a box. Ask around, I am not even a earthen human specie. I am an interdimentional spiritual entity resident in a robotic human body but when it comes to issue of Biafra, it is an option. No one is happy the way Nigeria has become. I do not think you are also happy.

I noticed that most of my Yoruba pals that we have discussions about Biafra with, are truthful in saying ...#We can not stay in this mess alone. #You guys have to stay with us. #We have no natural resources that is why we support the North to force you guys to stay. #Why do you guys want to share the oil money alone. #We do not have the political numbers of the North and the Commercial prowess of the Igbos, lets make Nigeria work.

My brothers and sisters. We can not continue this way. If you guys want us to have a working country then all Igbos and Yorubas MUST stop the tribalism.

I am ashamed of both Yorubas and Igbos on nairaland. I am from neither of these tribes but I am Biafran so naturally I am closer to Igbos since Biafra is in the DNA. When I hear some people say that certain places in the SS are not Biafra, I laugh at their foolishness. Asari Dokubo was with the Biafrans and have rightly stated that it is better to go with Biafra. He is a militant and Militancy dies the day Biafra is born.

Quote this always from Billyonaire:

#Militancy Dies on the Date of Birth of Biafra#
