Difficult to recommend stocks to another person, else you come back to launch blames if it goes sour. Brother, just do your research on the following: dangote flour, seplat, total, transcorp, ucap, fbnh, Nahco

Stocks hit 11-month high, NSE unveils X-Academy
Olubode Olusesan / 9 hours ago

Stanley Opara

The equities market appreciated highest in 11 months on Thursday, driven by gains in banking and cement shares as investors took advantage of the low valuation for some commercial bank shares.

The market rose by 2.77 per cent to cross 30,197 points, lifted by gains in First Bank Holdings Plc and Dangote Cement Plc. At the close of trading, the year-to-date return settled at 12.80 per cent. There were 39 gainers and 11 losers.

FBN Holdings Plc topped the gainers’ list, advancing by 10 per cent, to close at a year high of N5.83. This was followed by May and Baker Nigeria Plc, Learn Africa Plc, Champion Breweries Plc and Access Bank Plc, which appreciated by 9.40 per cent, 8.11 per cent, 6.99 per cent and 5.53 per cent, accordingly.

However, Linkage Assurance Plc closed the day atop the losers’ chart, declining by 9.52 per cent, to close at N0.57. This was followed by Oando Plc, 7UP Bottling Company Plc, Jaiz Bank Plc and Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc, which declined by 5.33 per cent, 4.99 per cent, 4.21 per cent and 4.17 per cent, respectively.

Meanwhile, the NSE, at an interactive session on Thurday, launched X-Academy, a knowledge-platform designed to provide education services to individuals who want to gain a better understanding of the various aspects of the capital market. X-Academy offers a wide range of courses geared towards bridging the knowledge gap of dealing members, issuers, investors and the general public about products and services of the capital market.

The establishment of X-Academy is said consistent with the Exchange’s tradition of pioneering far-reaching innovations within the Nigerian capital market. It also feeds directly into the National Financial Inclusion Strategy which was launched by the Federal Government in 2012 to reduce the number of adult Nigerians who are financially excluded, from 46.3 per cent in 2010 to 20 per cent in 2020.

Speaking at the session, the Chief Executive Officer, NSE, Mr. Oscar Onyema, noted that the training programmes at X-Academy would provide individuals and businesses with a robust and effective array of training solutions that would ensure participants were abreast with trends in the rapidly evolving financial markets.

He said, “As a socially responsible organisation devoted to enhancing the fortunes of Nigerians and our investors, we are confident that participants of programmes offered by X-Academy will be better positioned to make informed financial decisions”.

Also speaking at the event, the Acting Head, Corporate Services Division, Ms Pai Gamde, stated, “X-Academy is a crucial step to enhancing financial literacy levels in Nigeria and equipping professionals with requisite skill sets to deliver innovative solutions for the challenges confronting our financial sector.”

Fidelity and diamond will surely overtake FCMB before Wednesday nest week
FCMB will not allow that to happen.
FCMB will first see #2 and start its journey to #3 before Fidility and Diamond bank.
This comeing Monday I doubt whether you will see FCMB stock at current price of today closing which is #1.25.

Diamond bank might overtake Fidility in the nearest future, but FCMB will always be at their front.

This bull will leave u confused , not easy to sit down and looking at the way the prices of stocks are goin higher , sold uba took my looted funds But had to join again now with some profit
If u re not careful , u will sell and later join again grin ..AT the same time anything can happen like the case of zenith @ 20.90

Missed Access at 7 , before i knew its gone , Can u imagine some pple are still ready to buy fbnh @ 6.42 after a heavy dumping

No one knows the way the thing dey go , Honestly tothe FPI"s if u convert thos eprices of stocks to $$ its kind of cheap with the exchange rate of 380 to 400 plus at the Fx window

Like i said before we may not see those cheap prices for the a while , like Oga Bullbear mkt said ""NSE IS BLOWING THROUGH MAJOR RESISTANCE WITH EASE"
in the case of fbnh, there was a time it did #10 maybe this is another repeat in view,so I'm not gonna sell for Now.

Dangote flour refuse to follow the current bull, but am sure that the stock will soon embark on a journey of over 200 percent upward return this year.

Some will be afraid to recommend.

Dangote Flour will perform when you LESS EXPECT,
It might NOT EVEN be this YEAR.

I strongly believe that it will perform this year.
By next month been the month of July, the month of half year result, the expectation of the result, and the result itself will be good enough to trigger the upward movement.
With or without the interim dividend, Dangote flour result will be among the best 10, in the half year result the NSE will record.

Brother, i saw what you saw and sold my fbhn despite my serious recommendations of the stock to people. I even added money to buy off dangote flour at 4.30 yesterday.

It will pay more than fbnh eventually and i dont want to blame myself despite my love for the big elephant.

The executives were suppose to visit NSE this week to enlighten the house on what is coming but the shifted it because of the MRS visit to next week.

Is it possible that dangote will allow a company whose share price contributes seriously to his wealth to remain at low price? Never! Instead, he will pay a N1 dividend half year to bring people in.

The wise will understand.

Gracias

Thanks for your comment. My opinion is based on technical analysis. Although we are not the market. But did you see how the price of NAHCO pop up today?

That is the power of supply and demand, some institutions are eyeing this stock at this level. But note that the level may shift in the future.

As usual- Caution: Investing is a risky venture. This is just my opinion and I cannot be liable for any loss suffered as a result of following this recommendation All data used are assumed to be correct, but you may need to verify some of the figures independently.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Chibuking81(m): 8:37pm On Jun 02, 2017
Bank stock movement and their position.
First category
1. GTB, always first.
2. Stanbic Bank, second.
3. Zenith bank, third.

Second category
1.Access bank, first.
2.UBA bank, second.
3. FBNH, Third.
4. UBN, fourth.

Third category
1. FCMB, first.
2. Fidelity, second.
3.Diamond bank, Third.

Fourth category
1.Sterling bank, first.
2. Unity bank, second.
3. Skye bank (They are on relegation from division three to four)
4. WEMA Bank.

(Other omitted bank Keystone bank, Jais Bank, etc, belongs to one of the categories above)

Whenever there is upward movement in any of the categories, it seems to be a competition, the market maker of the first will push in money to maintain their lead, while the last will wake up to cash up with others in their category.
