We are equal in the sense that we are all human beings and no gender is better than the other because we need each other for continuity but we are different because we have different roles to play biologically this does not mean carrying and birthing a baby is more important than giving sperm.

But to be candid, the role of females in reproduction is more important than males. A male supplies the sperm but a female not only supplies the egg but provides the best environment for the fertilized egg to grow, births the child and her body produces food for the child to eat and grow

When we say gender equality we mean all individuals regardless of gender should be treated equally in terms of basic necessities of life, quality of life and right to justice and fairness in all aspects of life, this means your daughter as a female has as much right to be educated as your son as a male, it means you don't discriminate when giving things to your children based on gender, it means females should be eligible for inheritance, voting, driving etc and not to be discriminated against.

If you are against this then it's your personal opinion, I want this for myself sha and I don't know why I should suffer discrimination based on gender

My guy....in a lot of places and situations...women are discriminated against in the African culture.... even the first world is not "unguilty"of this. This appears in different forms and degrees in different cultures....take for example Saudi Arabia where women until recently were not allowed to vote or drive a car.
Even America allowed suffrage just close to the middle of last century.....so its an ingoing process. You can liken it to the black American situation before The civil rights activism pushed back segregation to an extent.

These rights won't be given without activism and some form of resistance or some form of affirmative action(ministry of women's affairs like you mentioned)

. The word "gender equality" should not have been coined in the first place. There are lots of women in the same field /profession as men: doctors, engineers, teachers, lawyers and what have you. Me think women should just channel their energy to the betterment of the society, husbands etc. Like someone rightly pointed one, a woman should be submissive and let the man do the loving.
