keep up the good work but don't you think it would make Marvel more humane by injuring him small not so superhuman/

Marvel’s reaction was instantaneous. He flipped himself backwards on the chair he was sitting on at the same time kicking out slightly to flip the stainless steel table before him to act as a temporary cover. Both him, the chair and table landed on the ground the same time. As he landed on he back, both hand guns were already in his hands and he fired. The Gecko bros ducked behind the heavy stainless steel table as the screamed out to their guards. He shots flew over their heads. Marvel flipped backwards again in a somersault, just as three bolts of lazer fire hit where he was before. The shots came from his right and he knew where. Without a second thought, he right hand lifted and the M2000 boomed. The rounds on the present clip on the hand gun are explosive bullets and has thirty in them. The guards by the bar that was acting as if mixing drink was struck in the chest. The bullet hit him and exploded. The chest blew out in a bloody screw of flesh and bones. Both hands and the head were torn away from the body, the only parts left intact were the two legs and most of the waist which twitched and dropped.
Marvel ran towards the open kitchen door as lazer bolts sizzled the air around him. The kitchen seem like the only place that can offer him temporary cover. From the schematics of the building he had studied before coming for this meeting, there should be a back door somewhere after the kitchen.

“Don’t lit tha’ fuçkhead g’t away, aft’r em“ Marvel heard Khano voice screamed as he got into the kitchen. The kitchen didn’t have much in it, except for the auto chef that was preparing the meal it would have served Marvel and the Gecko bros had the meeting gone as planned, but Marvel slowed his speed as something caught his eyes gave him an idea. The auto chef was cooking from a thin foil tank holding gas the name of the gas written on it is butane and propane. Marvel smiled creepily as the evil thought framed in his mind. At the other end of the kitchen is a heavy metal door. He headed for it, shot the lock with the M2000, it blew apart and the door slowly opened. He got to it, turned and waited for the guards coming after him. Shortly, the four men guarding the entrance to the restaurant ran in through the other door. They were shocked to see Marvel waiting for them and tried slowing down their movement then ducking as they saw Marvel raised the M2000 on his right fist. But he wasn’t aiming at them, the gun’s muzzle was facing the foil tank. He pulled the trigger once, jumped outside and push the heavy metal door close. The HE bullet struck the tank, exploded and causing the highly flammable gas in it to combust. The explosion boomed loudly and kicked back the heavy metal door Marvel was hiding behind knocking him off his feet. The four men inside the kitchen became instant burnt barbecue and their ash remains were hurled outside the other door with the force of the roaring flames that blew out too. The Gecko brothers dove out of the way just in time to avoid being caught in the inferno.

Marvel was dazed a bit by the force of the door hitting him but he quickly got on his feet and ran along the winding passage before him. The fire from the kitchen explosion was still burning furiously so he was sure no body will come at him from the back that way. The passage was just made up of twin walls having only a single door ahead of him. At the top of the door is a sign saying EXIT . Seeing this made him renew his speed hoping to move ahead before the other guards outside think to go and cut him off from behind. Damn where is the back up he was promised? By now they should have responded after he activated the panic button. Just that he is way too light on armaments to have any hope of surviving what he is up against. The passage started winding down, which in a way got him worried but he pushed it aside that it's probably a way leading to a tunnel for a quick get away. He was sure at a point ahead it will wind back up. But the further he went, the place just went down with several steps at some turns till it led to a closed door.
What he saw as he opened the closed door shocked him. He was expecting to burst out the back of the hotel building at least to a side alley. He knew the day was still bright, so he wasn’t expecting to get out into the night. But a semi darkness greeted him after he opened the door. The door led him to another room instead of outside. There it dawn on him that it was purposely made that way to confuse anyone that is not familiar with this place. The room was large and appeared to be a storage place. Could it be a store for the kitchen? He quickly discarded that because he saw the entrance to the kitchen store while he was there.

The poor light in the place showed stacks of neowooden crates and racks. Then it hit him in a flash, this was the storage room for the weapons they had showed him earlier. But they had come through the main entrance at that time but now he has stumbled into it. Well looks like fate just dealt him a better odd deal. Looking through the racks holding rifles, he sort for the one he felt will have the best kick. Something at the back of his mind was screaming at him that he have very little time to make a detailed choice. Most of the guns here are lazer or microwave blaster rifles, he always prefer projectile rifles, for its kinetic kicks and accuracy. Heat sink armor is now common to get in the market, but full proof combat kinetic proof body armor is more difficult to come by. He also considered his situation, he doesn’t really need long barrel weapon for now because of the close combat situation he is in.
He settled for an MC CAR 150, Mac Carbine Assault Rifle, it has the kick of a .50 caliber projectile. Though not in the same league with his personal favorites FTL stinger or MAC perpetrator, still it has enough raw power to sniff the odds in his favor better than the two handguns he was previously using. He tug the handguns back in the holsters and picked up the MC CAR 150. Getting the ammo for it wasn’t difficult, a box of it was open and several clips with bullets loaded ready for use were in it. His suit pockets won’t really carry enough clips to be helpful. He saw a combat webbing, hanged it on his body, though it looked really awkward squeezing his suit within it but it doesn’t matter. Looks don’t count when fighting to save your life. He hanged few clips on the belt of his webbing. He saw and ignored the TEC 1 RPGs, though their power will be helpful for this encounter, still they are too heavy and clumsy to carry around when speed is of the essence. Moreover they are single shot and load piece, totally inadequate. Give him a TEC 5 any time any day.

Sounds coming from the back door he just came through galvanized him to move fast ahead. But just before getting to the door he dipped his hand into a crate full of frag grenades and pulled out five of them and clipped them on the webbing’s belt. He also kicked himself mentally for not realizing on time that the fire he started at the kitchen won’t keep the Gecko bros back indefinitely, they will look for way to put it out. Only that they accomplished that faster than he anticipated.
At the door, he stopped, while slowly opening it, he was paying attention to his back, getting worried as the sounds of footsteps got louder. He still recalled that several men guard the entrance to this storage house. He is hoping that the sound at the other place would have at least draw some of them off. When he looked at the tiny line that was available with the slight pushing of the door, he saw four guards with drawn rifles and alert. Fortunately their attention was focused ahead not behind them. Marvel knew he may not be able to take them all at once with the rifle, because no cover between them and him except the door. He pulled out one of the frag grenade, activated it then toss it towards their direction before closing the door. The closed door reverberated and lowered down the explosion of the grenade to a dull boom. Just then the door behind him burst open. Three guards and the Gecko bros rushed in. Marvel didn’t think twice about it, the CAR 150 was up with the trigger depressed. Two of the guards twitched and dropped as the bullets tore through them. The others scattered. The Gecko bros returned fire as Marvel jumped out through the door facing him into the steps leading up from the weapons storage area. The grenade have brown the four guards apart, three were dead with heavy shrapnel wounds, one of them have the contents of his stomach spilling out. The only live one among them was on his knees groaning as his face was horribly mangled both eyes punctured spilling blood and colorless liquid. Marvel shot him just once to put him out of his misery.

Shots were still coming from behind as he ran ahead towards the stairs leading up. He peeked quickly at his back and saw someone outlined at the door. The person, which looks like one of the Gecko bros, drew back behind the door as Marvel raised his rifle as if to fire. Well what guns can’t do, Marvel thought within himself, grenades can actually accomplish. He pulled another grenade and threw it at the slightly open door. The grenade knocked at the lintel, bounced on the floor then rolled in beyond the door.
“Hey tha b’stard jus’ thr’w a bloom’n grenade. Duck! “ Marvel heard Khano screamed.
Marvel was just at the top of the second stairways when the grenade exploded. After a while Marvel heard coughs and barely decipherable words. “Damn I’m bleeding. “ “Me too” “Shane seems dead, he took the full blast of the grenade on his face. No more head, just a bloody stump on his neck. “
“Tha’ bloody b’stard ‘s goin’ ta die slowly by me ‘ands. “ Khano said as he pushed the door open to continue chasing Marvel. “Lucas get ‘ne of e’m TEC1 launcher, load n' lock e'm. Get two ‘xtra r’ckets jus’ t’ m’ke sur’we kil’ tha’ b’stard. “
. Getting towards the top stairs, gun fire chased him back. Marvel turned back a bit and returned fire. The gun later clicked on an empty chamber, he quickly pulled out the spent clip and slapped in a new one. Just behind him he heard Khano’s voice cursing and getting closer. Damn he can’t stay here like this another second. Where is the damn back up he was promised. They can’t miss him, the panic button have an accurate pin point transponder, they can also easily locate his body signature.
He ran a bit forward, when there was a lull in the gun fire. He was sure the Gecko bros would have called to inform those in front to hold on their shooting as they are behind Marvel. He saw the shooters, about ten of them standing behind a hastily constructed makeshift cover of stainless steel tables and chairs. He pulled out a third grenade threw it at them then ducked back. He ran back a bit and saw the Gecko bros climbing up the second stairs, one of them was carrying a long tube that Marvel quickly realized is a TEC1 rocket launcher.
Oh shìt, his mind scream. He knows he is boxed in. He fired at the brothers, the bullets hitting at least two of them. They only jerk backwards but didn’t go down, instead they scattered and dropped down at an angle Marvel’s shots won’t get to them. Just then the grenade behind him blew.
