Doctors in the house, pls help each time i go to toilet my anus will swell and protrude out a little and is soft, i thought it was pile based on what a doctor who diagnosed me in Nigeria Defence Academy said but have done all local pile treatment but to know avail. It's painless and for sure it has nothing to do with veins.
what exactly could be wrong and how do i treat it either locally or otherwise.
Rectal prolapse.
When it protrudes out, does it go back by itself or do you have to push it back in?

Please doctor I have been having hbp since I put to bed six weeks ago. I was prescribed a week's course of hiclodopa which brought it down but at my six weeks check yesterday, it has risen again though I felt completely fine.
The doc prescribed hiclodopa again with nitrazepam and normodipin. I took them yesternite but was unable to sleep much because of the baby.
My problem is this: I woke up this morning with the most excruciating headache ever in my life and have to take painkillers to diffuse it.

Please doctor what should I do. I am scared to take the drugs again this night because I need to function for my family and they made me unable to do so.

Help!!
I hope you didnt take those drugs all together. That's a noo noo. What you have is pregnancy induced hypertension.
What I do for my patients with similar condition is to bring down the bp to an optimal level and then taper the dose overtime till I wean her off the drugs. The body needs to be taught to function properly without the drugs, hence if you suddenly stop your meds, you would experience rebound hypertension. Just like you did.

I was to take all together but the headaches were too much and my baby was drowsy for the whole following 24 hours that I became afraid
I stopped the sleeping one after two days but am still taking the other two. I find it very difficult to sleep now and feel unwell in the day so I feel the bp is still high.
Please can you advise me on this. I still have the hiclodopa and normodipin to exhaust. Should I stop taking them? Please help me cos am confused. Thank you

It would be wrong for me to tell you to stop the meds just like that. The first thing you need to do is worry less, that would help your sleep. Then you need to check your bp, as that's the major factor that determines if you'd stop the meds or get them changed.
The nitrazepam gets secreted in your breast milk, so ur inadvertently giving your baby the sedative, hence his/her drowsy state. You shouldnt use it if you're breastfeeding.

Owk, that's a good thing ffs.
I don't know what kinda herbal treatment you used and how effective they are as I havent tried them myself but you can start with sitz baths- you put a handful of salt in a bowl of warm water and sit inside, for like 15mins, 2/3 times a day.
You also need to eat less bulky and fatty foods and take more of fibrous fruits and veggies and water.
In the long run, you may still need to see a general surgeon to have a closer look at that stuff.

Thank you sir. Will stop that one immediately.
Please can I take these ones because I want to stop the normodipin because of the headaches.

Lebatelol

Lisinopril.

Bp is 149 from initial 168

If you have used lonart then artemed is unlikely to make any difference in the treatment. First you should do a qualitative malaria test (microscopy) to be sure of how much of the malaria parasites are in your blood. That would guide on the choice of antimalaria to use.
Secondly, amoxyl is unlikely to take care of 'typhoid'. Not in a long shot. Well you said typhoid was negative, so good for you
Many thanks Doc. About completing the dosage tonight and want to see how it pans out. Feeling a little much better.

I should stress again that it would be out of place for me to unilaterally change your drugs. I can only advice esp on what not to take.
In prescribing anti-hypertensives, a number of factors are considered among which is what the doctor finds while examining you.
That said, for this level of bp, you should not use labetalol.
Normodipine is known to cause headaches as an adverse effect, so you should discuss a possible change of meds with your doctor. For some relief yoi can use painkillers.

Do you have allergies?

-Anyone else in your family has the same problem? Immediate or extended family, I mean.
-Do you have a history of asthma, either in childhood or currently?
-Do you have other things you're allergic to ? Like pollen, dust, smell of frying oil, smoke etc?

Most likely a sea protein allergy. You're the second case of a most probable seafood allergy I've seen on NL. Bad news is that sea protein allergy overlap with most animal protein. That's why you react to meat as well.

Management plan? As with other forms of allergy, avoid seafood(e.g crayfish) Also avoid food, you're susceptible to. It may just be nausea and vomiting now- you wouldn't want to trigger an anaphylaxis sometime in the future. I you must eat these protein, fry them properly. The excess heat would denature the proteins and you'd most likely react. But it's best to avoid.

See your doctor for evaluation. Especially a gastroenterologist.

i concur with your submission there is also the need to do an urgent click test to assay for mutagenes that might can be inherited by a child leading to the deficiency of Carbamoyl Phosphate Synthetase

Firstly you should stop with the ear piece and avoid repeated exposure to prolonged loud noise, like heavy commuter traffic , discos, loud church speakers etc.
The problem would resolve overtime, since you said your hearing tests were normal

Orthostatic hypotension, a common sign of cardiac insufficiency. In summary, the heart doesnt pump as much blood to the brain as the swiftness of your 'action' demands.
If you're in the middle age group or on the big side, you may want to get your lipid level checked and also see the Doctor for a heart examination. There are some signs we could pick from examining the heart that tells us this is xyz.
Meanwhile, you should reduce the speed of your getting up and bending down, so that the heart gets enough time to pump blood up there.

Does it affect the two hands or only one hand?
Does the swelling go down as the day progresses?
Is it painful?
Have you had any surgery in the past?

Tinnitus is not an illness that needs a cure, its a sign of an illness.
A lot of conditions could come with tinnitus, in this case, the most likely are partial blockage of your ear canal by wax, partial damage of the nerve that make you hear and irritation of your ear drun , all of which can be caused by repeated exposure to loud noise.
Let me even ask, what kinda hearing test did they do for you?

they play some sounds and check if I could hear them. and one other test too. before this low pitch noise started I have been having series of cracking sound in my ear but when I breath in , close my noise and breat out slowly , my ear will clear off . This continuous high pitch noise similar to when u fry egg or from a t.v with no signal sound is given me concern.

Looks like what happened is that a bubble got trapped in between wax.
You should visit the ENT unit of a teaching hospital, that tinnitus is reversible. Very 'curable'.

Owk,.....looks to me like there is a problem with the outflow of blood / fluid from your hand. Could be caused by an inflammation or partial blockage of your lymph drainage, ditto for your veins. But do you often loose sensation in any part of your fingers?

3 days before this high pitch noise started , I do listen to music via my ear piece to my right ear , I had a bad crack in my right ear which I tried to clear the crack by mounting pressure to clear off my ear. this Result to some sneezing which cause a strange headache in my front head toward the right side when I sneeze. this go on for 3 days after which thr high pitch started in my brain.
