Marriage is not for everyone. True.

But it's a wonderful thing. And it's worth it in your lifetime.

One of the major issues with single aged ladies is the very compound Issue of submission to any man (not to talk of a husband) especially when they are successful in their chosen fields.

And yes. Many of them are really good people, personally. Business wise and professional wise. Excellent. Many are even gifted in helping others in their relationship issues.

But for them --i just don't know.

It was years back, the late Dora of Nafdac was explaining how she balances work and marriage. Successful woman in government, BUT AT HOME, SHE IS THE WIFE. SHE MAKES RARELY 30percent of decisions in the home. The man is the boss.

Many ladies have that problem. Managing success and being submissive at the same time.

And a man would go after a dirty, uneducated girl (even a LovePeddler) that is submissive to him for a wife, than a proud angel.

The new trend amongst single and frustrated girls is promoting the movement "marriage is not for everybody", if your mothers had same mindset years ago you won't be alive and be who you are today. do not out of frustration promote wrong movement to misinform and deceive the new generation. Men are not responsible for your inability to keep them The economy, high standard and taste and rising population of girls are the causes of less marriages in Nigeria.

If you decided not to marry, keep it to yourself aunty 35. Hundreds are getting married every Saturday, wait for your time, be humble and respectful even if you are a former slut , there is redemption. change location so you can meet new men that know nothing of your past. My piece

This is some silly ass

I think it depends on the side of one's divide. Those promoting marriage is not for everybody might be children borne out of wedlock or from broken marriages, who will never see anything good at marriage, which could be due to their orientation about marriage or life mistakes they have refused to acknowledge and let go; while those in support of marriage might be children from good homes whose parents live and raise together.
Ask for me, marriage is honourable. It brings much more honour to women than men. God is interested in marriage because it's an honourable way of recreation and that is why the Bible says that he who finds wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from God.

I'm sorry but your opinion is trash.

in this world you will find different diverse people with different upbringing. what people have been exposed to influence their life decisions.

This your piece sounds like you are out to ridicule unmarried ladies besides it's not just ladies that say marriage is overrated.

Everybody is free to do what works for them.

This is some silly ass shit

even in our grand mother's era, not every one got married

Even in bible times, not every one got married

So they are right, marriage is not for everyone, or let me rephrase it, not every one will get married.

It's nothing to beat yourself over for, just enjoy your life and die in peace

This op is sick!!! So you are not aware that Marriage is not for everyone? Na now day dey break for you? With the high rate of divorce ravaging this country and high rate of unmarriageable individuals seeking to destroy the lives of others, you cannot decipher for yourself that marriage is NOT for everyone? The typical Nigerian marriage is a Scam. Marriage is a choice. You don't force it. Do not allow this insane society fool you or pressurize you to marry a nonentity or a mentally deranged fellow. Why are you pained that some ladies do not want to marry? Are you that special that they must marry you?

@OP...

Marriage is not for everyone. If not for the need to procreate, a lot of our parents would not have married.

I know a lot of successful guys who just want a kid and no wife. So girls should be allowed to feel the same. This humongous marital burden our culture places on people is absurd. Marriage should be for those who believe in it and not for everyone

Funny those who pressure people to get married in order to promote the family system are the sane people destroying it with the increase in divorce rates today

Exactly

so u will allow ur daughters have children for men with marriage?

That's not your choice to make.

It's theirs

embarassed

You people should have mercy on single aged ladies

If they keep this notion to themselves nobody will bother them but when they start creating "movement of pity parties" and misleading the next generation it becomes everybody's business.

Is marriage meant for those that were killed or maltreated by their spouse? Do you know how traumatized and regretful they will be?

Reading stories of a couple killing his/her mate is scary so it is normal for singles to be caution and conscious about it.

This is reality and not happy ending fairy tale story.

I believe they didn't pray before going into marriage..meaning their marriages were not ordained by God.

so was it the devil that ordained pastor Chris oyakilome and Chris okotie's marriage or did their marriage fail because they are both named Chris.

Fallacy.

Pastor Chris okotie and pastor Chris Oyakhilome didn't pray to their God abi? And their marriage crashed

This is not about praying to a God or not, it is about we humans.
