recently,a family were granted visa .the husband is a contractor while the wife worked in osun state with half salary payment by osun state government.
they had to take loan and borrow before they travelled.
my surprise is that the husband was asked for his monthly income and numbers of staff.the info he gave was not verified and they were granted the visa.
note they used agent for the processing and it is the first time for the family.the wife had tried several country alone with no result.

You MUST upload your passport photograph online and also carry two passports along with you.

As at beginning of this year, the policy of bringing passport photo have changed.

To your question, here is the solution, if you have submitted that form without picture and booked an interview appointment with it, then you need to ASAP fill another DS form. (you can retrieve the old one you have and click fill a new form, all the information you previously entered will still come up fill those that needed to be fixed again, iPad your picture and submit again.) another DS 160 application ID will be generated.

Now go back to the appointment site, cancel the old appointment booking, and reschedule. Using the new DS 160 form ID, the one with picture.

What all these Grammar I have written above means is that in all you do, make sure that it is the ds160 form application id WITH PICTURE that you use in scheduling your appointment, no more no less. Anything less than this, they will send you back and you will have to reschedule, God help you, date still dey.

honestly your only tie apart from your job which is something can leave and practice else where are you kids. If i am allowed to say, if you do not want to go to sa or dubai with the kids, then apply alone, go and return, apply then reapply and in your application forms, take time to express yourself convincingly. Above all my sister, pray.

But then again, others may better suggest what you can do to better the situation.

My husband is a farmer is not keen abt vacation but because I wanted to give birth then he had no option but the VO said I have travelled 5times without my husband why did we make US our 1st family trip,we explained but he wasn't convinced. Within me if I had gone alone I would have got it.

My aunt was denied visa too 2015 with her baby singlemum,2016 she applied alone she got it and travelled alone.2017 she applied for her baby.

Apply alone 1st and go,ur children are your ties and apply with them later or make a family trip to somewhere else

It matters. VOs hardly give visas for community colleges. Go check the student visa thread. Some lenient VOs will even hint the applicant as per why not apply to a uni instead of a junior college.

That’s not to say people with community college admissions don’t get visas. But it’s 5-10 percent of them.

I still say it does not matter, most denial always come with the "I did nothing wrong" feedback here, they leave out a chunk of their error, gaffe just to paint a perfect picture.

Most People mess up in their application/ interview and they push it on the Community college being a factor.

Satistying any VO when applying for a student visa, is one the hardest hurdle to cross, since there's no blanket ban on applying to community colleges with detailed research and being prepared all round one can be among the alledged 5-10%.... It is akin to the popular "WAEC fail me" and "I pass WAEC".

1. your ID number will not change, what will happen is that you will lost your ID as you will not be able to log into that DS160 form again, it will be deleted, you wouldn't be able to retrieve the data again

2. all you need to do to extend for another 30 days is once you log into your Ds160 form, click "save" at the bottom and a page asking if you want to continue or exist the page will show, click on exist and it will tell you that your form has been saved for the next 30 days. Before that 30days grace expires, repeat the same process until you are sure of when you want to go for your interview then you can submit.

We were up early to catch the 7.15am appointment today and I can't complain as I was on my feet all through the ordeal.

First came along the business men and touts or shall I say emergency agents on the short walk to Walter Carrington street who tried all they could to have us take photographs and make photocopies or even buy stapler pins. I tried as much as possible to be as polite but their ignorance stink to the high heavens. They didn't fail to tell me that the procedures at the US embassy had changed, in their minds...I guess.

We were lucky to get a fast track to a VO as my girls are still kids. There were two applicants before us and as I listened to the answers they provided...were I the VO, I would have denied them, the VO couldn't disagree with me. Then came our turn...

VO: Passports please...
Me: I passed him our passports...four in all, placing mine and spouse's on top.
VO: Opens my passport to check the Visas and stamps...did same for Madam's...
VO: Why are you going to Virginia?
Me: No, we are not going to Virginia but Washington...our hotel is in Virginia...it's within close proximity to Washington DC.
VO: Why Washington again?
Me: The last time we were there, we had to cut short our vacation because of my office commitments...So we decided to visit again for about two weeks with the kids...
VO: You work with xyz company?
Me: Yes...I was wearing a branded T Shirt with the company logo...
VO: How long...
Me: 12 and half years...

No need to cancel the old appointment booking just change the old ds160 number to the new one and click save that will do it while maintaining your old appointment date.

From my finding, the success rate for colleges is less than 30%,hence, the assumption.
In my acquitanc case, she also chose associate degree. With the VOs not checking documents, it becomes a lil difficult to prove ur point if you are not a talker like me.

max u can buy is 3 for economy. and its about 340k per person if you are going in march 2018
