Some One Pls advise me onbthe steps to take if necessary here is the issue. While filling my form ds 160 application form I chose a travel date in late December this year and paid immediately. Now the issue at hand is all the available dates for my interview are in January.

I want to know will this not jeopardize my chances of obtaining the visa if my interview comes after the intended date of travel.

I need your advise Pls good people in the house and also if there is any other step I can take. Besides this all other things are intact.

Let's say hypothetically - i intended to travel for a conference holding on the 9th of Dec, for 2 days, and i show up for a visa interview on the 16th of Dec, if you were the VO, would you grant me a visa?

If the VO should ask you at the interview "WHEN, why and long you propose your US visit to be" as it were, what then will you answer?

Advise: Readjust if necessary or jettison for the time being, purpose and timing of visits have their place....

Longer or LATER?

Your visa fee is valid for one year, and you can reschedule interview date free of charge once on it still. Put your travel plan together again, fill out a new DS160 form to reflect the new plan if there be any yet, or just wait till you are sure you have a justifiable purpose of travel. Christmas and New Year celebration 2017 are out of the time frame now for example, but there's Easter and Summer 2018 ahead still along the line of same example. Strong ties plus sound purpose of travel equals visa issuance most of the time....

Present status
Salary was increased last year November to 336k after tax due to a contract he won for d company
Over 3 years work history with same company.
Traveling history SA and Ghana
Also has a car for Uber given to a driver n makes about 160k monthly.(bin doin dat for over 7 months now)

His salary + uber profit + whatever he makes from his private business = his total income. He should put that on his form and explain if asked.

what's the issue sir.
.please my issue is that I'm a permanent resident in U.S, got married in May, my wife and I are expecting a baby in march, she is stil living in Nigeria. I would have filed for her but with green card it takes about 2 years before that goes through for her to come, I recently applied for my citizenship, awaiting my interview date, but right now she will be due before I even get my citizenship and apply for her.

So my question is....
What are our chances if I invite her to U.S for delivery so that I can take care of her and the baby during and after delivery...?

You are of paramount interest to her, they are of same interest to you! CHANCES (I'm not God, neither am I the VO, but....): Slim, even because you are a PR, less slim for USCs.... They will 99% of the time ask her to tell you to do the filing for her. @the bolded; between you and I, the chances of her going home after the childbirth are quite slim too. So, sit it out, do the needful by filing, you could give it a try all the same though! Does she have a good travel history and salary?

Let's break it down
Ties are : husband, child and job
In the US she will have husband and child. With the know how, she can get a job
With the know how again, she may decide not to pay for her bills.
If you were a vo what would u do?

Hello all,

I have been a silent follower of this thread. I got my B2 visa last week. I had previously been rejected in 2015. When i applied to attend a Microsoft conference. I had also just been rejected by france the previous in oct. I just want to encourage someone that previous rejections are not an issue, if u are veryconfident and truthful about your intentions. I would load my transcript later. The VO must have asked me one million questions.
Ps. I am a single lady with no kids. I just have a job that pays about 400k. That's what i think was the deciding factor.

wen u were denied France visa. did France embassy stamp ur passport

I think the pregnancy/childbirth twist makes the chances even pretty much slimmer. This would be surprising and one in a class of rarity if approved.

Hi Guys,

Am a bit confused with my situation here. I was at the embassy on Tuesday for an interview, visa was approved and was told to pick up my passport in 3 days. I was at the pick up location today and there was no visa stamp in my passport, no supporting document indicating why.

I checked every page again and again. Had to fill a form at the DHL office and return my passport, they were dedicating it might have been an error but am very worried.

Happened before? any body with this kind of situation? Please help.

Thank you

"Enter all surnames as listed in your PASSPORT" is boldly written on the image you even attached na.... That's the exact way to go.

You can list the new name in the section of "other surnames used".

What's the name on the passport? That is what goes into the first column. The part that specifically says so.

Any other names used column is where her new name goes in.

To be honest I really don't know much about birthing/immigration issues... can you direct this question to the birthing section or ask @Nef, @Ladyg they can help.

I can see you have been attended to on the other thread by the VO. Will chip in, delay your appointment till then (she isn't your wife just yet), it's at no extra cost as long as you reschedule just only once within the one year validity timeframe of the paid fee for the visa category. Add her to your application by then and schedule an appointment for both of you. Be aware too however that she has to make payment for her own visa fee oh! Regards....
