@ OP: all my life, I have never been a fan of traveling out of Nigeria to go and start a new life but with the current situation of what I'm seeing here, I might be forced to take that decision in 2019 if we make the mistake of electing another idiot into power. Nigeria is a perfect example of what a nation should never be like. There is a place of patriotism, and there is a place of reality. No doubt, there are people making it in Nigeria but then, you have to ask "at what cost "? At the cost of your sanity? You are probably used to a sane environment where practically everything works well. Coming to Nigeria, expect a total opposite of what you are currently enjoying... I'm yet to find something that one can easily get in Nigeria without having to cut corners. There are businesses that you have to do and you would have to settle a lot of insiders before it flies. Sometimes, it eats into your profit so much and you end up not really getting what you want. Look, I don't want to scare you but your $30,000 might not be able to get you through what you have planned down. You'd have to learn the ropes of how to do business in Nigeria and truthfully, be prepared for the worse. Apart from the cost of living, Nigeria is not totally a perfect place to live if you want your sanity. Like I said earlier on, the current government is a disaster and whoever we elect in 2019 would determine a lot. If we elect another idiot in 2019, I'd start packing my things and find my square root cause the country is deteriorating daily. Before you relocate back fully, think things through. There are almost no jobs and doing business here, is quite expensive and almost frustrating. Only the strong can survive. If you don't have that strong survival, rugged and determined spirit, pls stay where you are. |

Ordinarily, a poor man is someone who can not get money except he works and get paid no matter the amount even if he works in Oil Company. While a rich man is the one that while not working, his money works and bring him returns. That is why it is possible for one to be in USA and work for even 50 years and will not be able to cope when he comes back! Remember some people can not leave Nigeria for a week without losing money in their businesses. Imagine someone claimed to have come to Nigeria with 75000$ and squandered it within months living fake life to impress people in order to show they have arrived! My advice to OP. There are opportunities in Nigeria but people don't have money to tap into it. Get more savings and look at the area where you can invest and manage comfortably and make your money to work for you. I have a friend that came from USA in 2014 with some Trailers' double axle with his savings. Now he has over 300 in his store at Bodija and each costs 1.2m naira. It only takes 25million to become a owner of Microfinance Bank! To be a Nigerian brewery distributor is less than 25million, Dangote Distributor is less than 10 million, you wont be avle to tell our IBO boys selling building materials that you are from USA when you come across their accounts. Think in this direction but you need more savings! |

Alcatraz005:You are making mistake bro. I hardly tell people that I work because I believe in the street and I have been a street hustler. I am working and my salary is good. Lol, atleast above 100k. But the point is, I am a freelancer and I have always been. I stopped blaming the government when I read on fiverr forum how the problem of the world seems to be the same and only the lazy ones keep blaming and depending on the government. We sell caterpillar parts and we have the ones we hire for road construction, so I have been dirty monitoring projects etc and I can tell you that I have joined in making transactions outside Nigeria. Most of the caterpillar parts we sell are imported and I know what it means to trade in dollar and that of Naira. On fiverr, people hardly sell as a Nigerian but I do and I make sales more than most Nigerian-US sellers. The other day in fiverr forum, someone came claiming that Nigerians are scammers, I spoke up and the thread was deleted. Everyday, US citizens seek for a way to earn money on Amazon, only few Nigerians do that. The business section is one of the sections of nairaland with less visitors, you see most of them in politics and romance section. Bro, if you believe Nigeria is a hard place, it will be for you and if you are waiting for 2019, then you will be heart broken |

erico2k2:Did you follow the post on Besiktas or Instanbul that made the front page today. The op say that the pay in Instanbul is $70 per week, which is about $280 in a month. Bros, if you are serious and smart on fiverr, you will make more than that in a month. If you think Nigeria is hell, trust me, it will remain a hell for you and you will always be frustrated in Nigeria. I don't care about the leaders, I only support whosoever is there and I have no apology for what anyone think or say about it |

mrphysics:What is my business with the boldened? About all you said, i have heard you and thank you. However, what you typed up there will do little to convince the millions who have lost hope in the country. I commend you for your unwavering loyalty and patriotism. It is not very easy to still have hope in the nation. Goodbye. |

| Re: Moving Back To Nigeria From USA by Nobody: 9:40pm On Dec 08, 2017 |
mrphysics:Enough Already! Dont insult the sensibilities of millions of Nigerian Youths. Dont rub it on their faces. We have heard about fiverr and those who are interested will partake from ANY PART OF THE WORLD. Or is it only in Nigeria that you can do fiverr? So your drivel wont stop those who want to migrate from migrating. The mistake you and pidgin are making is that you feel all Nigerian youths who want to migrate are doing so due to poverty. FYI, you are wrong! Some people just value living in stable and working societies. Capisce? |

Too many negative impressions. Chaii. Naija my country is really doomed. Things were never soo rosy but have never been this bad. This Govt brought hardship. Period. This is not the right time to relocate to Nigeria. Businesses are folding up, people are loosing their means of livelihood, companies downsizing. Funny enough, most of the people here complaining and leaving negative impressions about the present state of the economy voted for this present Govt. It's like Nigerians enjoy weeping and gnashing of teeth. We never really learn |
