When you're close-minded, you can never see the hand reason itself is stretching out to you. You're too busy smelling the thorns to see the roses.

Enemies of Reason.

Do muslims like Christians and western civilization? Why are you angry and spewing expletives?

You don't have to be a Muslim to see that this is a legitimate protest. Defending an adoption of western culture i.e Lawyers wig, rope and dressings, while criticizing an Islamic dress is a master piece of hypocrisy.
sister, hijab wearing is also a foreign culture that has become adopted. That being said, we were colonised by the west and it is only natural for us to copy them eg sunday is always an off day.... wearing the hijab during that particular CEREMONY was an act of DEFIANCE and REBELLION .

I am surprised that CAN has kept quiet so far......Is this how the country will continue till it is islamised? Are we gonna let them continue or we fight for our freedom? The ball is in our court.
how does allowing women who chose to put on scarf covering hair amount to Islamizing the country?

Other Muslim ladies are nt d standard definition of Islam... for the fact that they did nt put on hijab which was wrong doesn't mean she should follow them do d same because everyone will surely account for his/her action on d judgement day... And again, U ppl should remove the mindset that if one or more Muslim do wrong thing that does nt mean Islam permit that wrong doing... All those that refuse to cover their head for the occasion we're all wrong according to Islam including Bubari's daughter

Law schools is an independent body with own set of rules! If she can't abide by it, she should get the fuvck out of it!

Funny how some set of africans are fighting over arabian culture. If arabian god, allah can't communicate with africans like they were created and with their unique language, then such allah god isn't worthy of Africa folks!

Are these bunch of idiots serious at all?

What happened to protest against corruption

Protest against boko haram

Protest against murderous fulani herdmen

Protest against child abuse and child trafficking

Protest against early marriage

Protest against rape.

I repeat, NSCIA is a useless jobless and mad association. Social ills abound and they are running after hijab.

I am sure NSCIA masterminded the drama to demonstrate their madness.

Can those mad NSCIA members tell me that Muhammed will leave all those social ills and would rather be fighting and causing public disturbance over ''a mere piece of clothe'' as they used to call it.

If God or Allah or whatever was very particular about hijab or ninja or niqab or burka, He would have given you one when you were coming to the world. You came nake.d and you shall return to him nake.d without one useless hijab and he will only judge your acts and actions. If you like wear the niqab, hijab and burka combined together.

Hypocrisy and madness at its peak. Arrant nonsense!!!!!!!!!
What have your Christian association done about those social ills? I'm not in anyway supporting any form of inaction against it but..
You said we came to the world naked and naked we shall go, I couldn't agree less with you but does that mean we should expose our bodies undecided

What is my business with the Christian Association or Shango Asosiciation or Muslim Association, if they all threw their humanity away by fighting against social ills and rather they are protesting over a useless piece of clothe enforced by Arabs on the receivers of their religion, in a form of pseudo enslavement and brain washing.

If you cannot exose your body, that is you and it is what you want. It does not make those who are exposing theirs less human. If some of the ones that are not exposing their bodies are perptrating evil act of envy, jealousy, wickedness to other human beings, hatred etc, are they not worse off than a loving person that is exposing her body.

Will God judge by exposure of the body or by our acts and action in this world? I repeat, if God was hell bent on we wrapping our bodies like Tomtom, he would have give us one at birth. Covering does not mean decency or morality. God sees the heart and not your covering.

And, as expected, they've finally made it into a religious battle---they've made it into Islamophobia and the oppression, humiliation and victimization of Muslims.

This is about the rules, not your religion. A Christian who violates them would have been treated the same way. They make it look like the rule SPECIFICALLY TARGETS THE HIJAB.

"Lawless", "immoral", and "infidel" nations like America and Britain are now examples to follow. I hope you know that HOMOSEXUALITY is also legalized in those countries---so make sure you don't oppose it when Nigeria makes the move to legalize it too.

Worthless hypocrites.

Thank you!

Am very pleased this is happening now. This call will eventually herald the disintegration of this country. We obviously cannot solve this problem via a round table talk. A lot of blood will be shed in the very near future, there is enough land in the north they can carve an Islamic Republic for themselves there and build a law school where they can dress like ninjas and eventually be called to a bar in a ceremony in Saudi Arabia if they wish. We don't have to stay together the Muslims in the south of Nigeria can join their brothers in the Islamic State of Nigeria in the north after creation no one needs to force his beliefs down anyone's throats in this modern day and times of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The hijab wasn't enforced as you said. And I agree that covering your body doesn't make you holier that does who don't but the ones who don't have other reasons for not and I can say that they are not all pure reasons also the hijab is not a blanket of any sort it is simply to cover the head it isn't going to stop her from wearing the uniform how is that a problem to the law school?

When the issue of protecting the rights of women in hijab is raised, some people will come up with unrelated ideas. You will hear, "Let's have Cele people too wear their sutana and keep bare foot everywhere. Let the Egungun dress in their regalia. Those of the Ezemo ilk should adorn their costume..."
No one is holding them now. It's a free world.
We are all living witnesses to an attempt to play that out in Osun State the other day. Those of other religions went on to instruct their wards to dress in chorister's uniform, sango wears, among other ceremonial wears in protest to the hijab uniform to Muslim school girls. We could all see how theirs wasn't sustainable. Their dressing styles are purely ceremonial.
Unlike the hijab, these dressings cited are only ceremonial wears. The hijab isn't a ceremonial wear. It's every time you see that woman in hijab but you want her to remove it to disregard God's commandments. She doesn't wear it occasionally. She believes it's part of her religion. The Nigerian law respects her right to practice her religion. Her right to wear the hijab does, in no way, harm the rights of non-hijab wearers. So, what's your problem?

Which of which is god's commandment?

How did an Arabian god become our god? Abi this one dey craze?

If she loves arabian god so much, why did she venture into an institution whose set of rules are divergent away from arabian god's rules? Was there no sharia law for her to study? How about islamic studies?

Yeye.

This muslim body is been unfair..same as the young lady. This is the law.. and you knew this before taking up this course for crying out loud.

If she is granted her wish, the catholic nuns in the law profession would start requesting to have their veil and habit on together with the wig and gown. The sango worshippers would request to have their hair plated. Even celestial members would request to come to court barefooted.

Yes, just as I understand that Hijab is a way of life for a muslimah..so also is the above stated dressing for the relogions i mentioned above.

If all this is granted..what we'll have is chaos and anarchy.

I don't know what the koran says but the Christian bible urges us to respect the law of the land. Jesus also said- give unto Caesar that which is meant for Caesar.

I tire for this their religion. Is so violent. The lady who started this thing will have are sef to blame
