Nothing intentional at all and it only ever happened in churches, something about going into a contemplative state and people's heightened states of awareness. All I can say is that it was cacophonous.

Is he the only Christ Consciousness?
Like, were there people before him who were Christs too?

I am sure Sarassin will give a more detailed answer, but this is what I gather from my interactions.

Christ is a state, a spiritual state. Others (not many though) have reached the state, and others will. The historical jesus on the other hand is a quite common figure, the archetype of the apocalyptic prophet with mystical knowledge who tried to free his people from oppression. You know people like Selassie, or Kimbangu (congo). There have been various people in history and mythology with similar attributes, and there is nothing really special about the historical Jesus.

However, from the worship of millions, he has entered a state of grace and is now a distinct entity in the pantheon of the great.

From my dealings with him, he has never asked for any form ofworship. He seems however eager to teach and show the way to spiritual ascent. There is also much love and compassion flowing from him. But again, very few people will experience him objectively.

During my Christian days, I never really felt close to Jesus, as I did to Papa. I found it easier calling on Papa or talking to him than I did Jesus.

I know he's a great and powerful teacher/being, but I had to be true to my feelings, no?

If you know me well, you'll testify I'm a feeler. That's how God speaks to me mostly....in the interim at least.
That's how I'm able to forge and maintain my relationships.

If my feelings aren't in tandem with positivity and love and light, it is the surest pointer that I have veered off from Papa/God/Source...so at the point, I have a choice to realign or continue to go far from his presence.

But I digress.

The point I made when I said I did not know Jesus, was the experiential kind. I can tell you that I KNOW the Father...not because I remember seeing his shiny face, but because I have felt his presence, him, his very essence (well as much as I could handle, yeah).

But I cannot say the same for Jesus.

What beats me is the fact that you consider/ed yourself a christian, but didnt know Christ, its focal point. its just impossible! Can i conclude you didn't know Him at all, or got blown away by a wind of doctrine? @mizmycoli

You established a point that you felt comfy speaking to papa than to Jesus. But do you know that God wants us to communicate with him through His Son Jesus(Heb 1v1-end)?

Not knowing him =you weren't practicing christianity i.e christlikeness. I think that's where the confusion lies. You can't confess Christ as your Lord and Saviour if you dont know him!!

God is there for us as Father of all, but He gave us a better access thru His son, and individually now. Not thru prophets like the old testament times. (Ephesians 2:13-18).

That is why any zeus or everest that comes to differ from this remains a liar, even if it's a pastor, g.o or pope!!

So why not upgrade by knowing him personally, rather than what "people say he is"?

Mizmycoli, In our contemporary world, we can't just access a King, President. We must pass through whom he delegates with such responsibilities. And unless through this medium, its only wahala, headache that one gets;definitely not easier, even if we like to, we gat no other choice. Typical naija setting, the security will throw us out.

Are we both on the stance that God speaks to us through His word, the Holy Bible, then via revelations, dreams, etc? If yes then can we take instances on the person of Christ before we move further? Establishing basics will determine how i'll take this! Believing on God's own words verbatim would make this interesting, since He speaks to you as affirmed earlier.

N:B-If you don't know Christ personally as Lord and Saviour, then you can't be a christian!! it's more than a tag or option on a fill in form!
