Am.telling u. I tried buying too. Even wemabank, skyebank and diamondbnk. Couldn't buy any

Already recovered my losses this year from WEMA...averaged down big time last year...waiting quietly to turn paper profit to real cash and move on never to look back for a long time. Does the market forgive some times? Na wa.

Please don't sell your car, use only the money you can afford to lose.

Before 2008 economy melt down, some sold off their four story building, some their estate, in order to buy share.
I know of one man who uses his property worth about 2 hundred million, with influence of his banker friend manipulated and borrowed 4 hundred million from the bank, within a shot period of time, the law of diminishing return set in, which brought about economy melt down in 2008. The share worth of what he bought with that 4 hundred million, was not up to 80 million naira, the man developed high blood pressure and died.

Because, bank came after him, when he fail to pay them as agreed, bank seized all his property, which
was not up to what he owes them, thereafter, his debt keep on increasing, due to debt service charge.

But has it been that he uses the money he can afford to lose, by now he will had recovered.

If one uses the investors mindset to approach the market, whether bull or bear, he or she will not check, because he/she will be on the safer side . Even when you borrow to invest, make sure you have other source to pay bank, should in case the investment goes bad.

The man was super greedy and had no responsible partner. My opinion today and tomorrow.

Most at times, most of humans are greedy, including everyone. When one succeeded, he will be a smart one, but when one failed, he will be a greedy fool.

For instance, Sky bank has no good news that pushes it above 100% up. Those who joined at @ 60 kobo and 70 kobo, are the smart ones now, but has it been that the price reverse back to car park, without an opportunity for an exit door, many will label them greedy fools.

No matter what, only invest the money you can afford to lose.

A smart person is one who has acceptable reason(s) for committing hard earned money into a cause. If you invest in a company you know nothing about or has no pedigree of good performance, you are only gambling - you are not investing. Those in it know so too. That is why they would rather stay glued to the internet until the haze clears grin grin grin Kind of one leg in but one leg out - BetNiger stuff

Are you sure you can cope with Flour Mills, it may not move for 2 months but it will get there and beyond.

Do you have the maturity and temperament , to be calm when things don't work according to your projections, just that way it is happening with Access Bank?

If only you know....

I know the stocks to go for when this euphoria dies down. It's not for jijo.

And do not cite Access Bank, there's more to that stock and in due course we will get our confirmation.

Just gut feeling, I don't claim to have insider knowledge.

Very well said.
All through that bullish 2007/2008 session of the mammoth bull I initially fancied the idea of taking one of the subprime loans being offered by quoted banks. However I got permanently dissuaded about those loans when a close friend of mine who was a Resident Internal Control Officer in First Bank took me to the manager of one of the branches he covered. Of all the very unfriendly conditions of the loan as reeled out by that manager, the one which saw me using the exit door of his office was that I must use the loan to buy only his bank's shares and that my CSCS account will remain frozen until I finished paying up. I did not need being told that only pure greed could make anyone accept such terms.
And lo and behold, less than 12 months later the meltdown arrived and the his bank's share price fell to one eight of the price I would have bought with that loan with my account frozen until I paid up.
