Yes, most northerners speak Hausa, but that doesn't make them Hausa! Just as we speaking English does not make us English people!
Many Kanuri people may speak Hausa, but their cultures are still very different from Hausas.

Besides, most Nupes, Ilorin and Bariba people (of Kwara) do not speak Hausa as a matter of fact, yet they heavily intermarry with fulanis......

Yoruba women are quite graceful, courageous, independent, cultured but mouthful. That's what I love about them. I even love their bold speaking part.
