Tribalistic preferenceHow would you reconcile your igbo-only eccentricity?
It goes beyond your not wanting a relationship with me for being "half Igbo" but your audacity in pushing me aside as not being "purely igbo".
Pls, I need you to be a little more intelligent than you currently are.

You asked me if I would consider "a mixed blood of both tribes" and I said "nope, Igbo only". As in, I would only consider someone that's only Igbo as compared to someone that's both Igbo and Yoruba. As in, a person that's 'Igbo only', not mixed.

Imagine a Venn diagram where on one side it says "A" and on the other side it says "B". In between both sides, it says "A and B". The fact that I said "A" only doesn't mean that I wouldn't consider "C". "C" just wasn't mentioned.

What's this one even saying? Too much contradictions in one statement. Osu are generally unintelligent, I pity those who marry them because dullards are generally a turn off for me.

Pray tell, where are the contradictions (plural) in my post?

my dear no matter how you twist it..
even a 5 year old will tell you that your words are just filled with tribalism.. undecided undecided

I really don't see how it's tribalism. The fact that some people wouldn't like to marry from certain cultures isn't tribalism- it's honestly just a preference.

I don't know why he is arguing with you,a transgender. If you like marry Ojuku but Yorubas because of our liberal nature, marry from whites,Hausas,Calabar etc and spice it up with your Osu women. But we marry our Yoruba jewels in millions and occasionally spice it up with whites,Fulanis,Kanuris,Ghanas,Ivorians, yam legged Igbos grin. etc.

We like varieties, but we love our Yoruba jewels most. They are one of the free-est women in the world.Reason they lead in Nigeria and Africa in almost all facets.

That's nice smiley. It's good that you appreciate your women, more of you Yoruba men should take a page out of the Igbo man's handbook and praise your women more often. However, I don't appreciate your insults- it's rather childish of you undecided.

The problem begins with concocted biased stories and fairy tales passed down generations by uniformed or biased people.

These stories(sometimes fairy tale) often blame the actions or in actions of a person on a whole tribe

One will ordinarily think education will cure such ignorance, but sadly it only encourages it, mostly because some university lectures and very educated people fuel the attitude and believes

it is also a powerful weapon in the arsenal of our politheifcians. They often use it to avoid having any logical or rational questions or debate about their performance in office.

The bad news is that the problem is not ending anytime soon because politicians control the media in Nigeria

Also, get ready for a bloody season ....A general Election is just around the corner grin

Exactly! you have gotten the picture

In fact, the whole thing was started by our colonial masters (the white British) to stop us from uniting as a nation, but sadly our politicians continued with the culture

The elections should be around early next year, but scheming as regards to tribal sentiment in Nigerian elections starts very early because more effort and attention will be placed on ethnic sentiments to avoid debating the real issues.

It's a strategy our politicians employ to cover for the fact that they are practically the same set of useless and vision less leaders. So while politicians in the united states debate about liberal or conservative values. Nigerian politicians debate about tribal sentiment.

You don't need to be a genius to figure out why Nigeria is not making much progress grin

yes in some sections of the country the tribalism can be that bad.but then the funny thing is that looking at the igbo and yoruba nairaland users fighting each other in this thread,u might be tempted to believe that this is how they act in the real world.in the real world the reverse is the case cos the inter tribal marriage b/w igbos and yorubas is one of the highest compared to other inter tribal marriages in nigeria.yoruba and igbos got mad love 4 each other irregardless of wat u see here.
