Lol you're typing as if she's doing this grudgingly or something and she deserves to be patronized for it. It's wrong dating a lady who thinks she's doing you a favor by dating you. It's supposed to be mutual. Wtf.
shocked So u get sense like dis? - I no know o! shocked

I've said it before and I stand by it, if I'm with someone, I'm in a partnership. Until I got married, I was my dad's responsibility, after I got married, my husband and I decided how we'd work as a unit. If I don't look good, I fix up myself, same thing for my very vain hubby.
you're not your dad's responsibility.
you're your parents responsibility.

out..

Yes she is doing you a favour. You chased her not the other way round, you went out of your way to patronise her and she accepted you out of many so she’s doing YOU a favour.
She’s taking herself off the dating market in her prime.
She’s giving you her body (most times)
She’s trusting you with her time and biological clock
She’s risking her emotional state being with you.

The least you can do is reciprocate the favour by being financially supportive. The problem with you guys is, you just want to take take take and not give anything in return. It’s bad.
This is a type of lady I am praying to AVOID

Maky, what you don’t understand is that a man will always go for the best that his money and status can get. Yes they’ll always be prettier and sexier ladies than you, but can he get them? A man pursuing you and chasing you, he’s looking at you like you’re the best he can get in that period. So it’s not something that you consciously think in your head at all times, but subconsciously you’re doing him a favour by accepting his proposal especially if he’s pursuing you hard. Like I said all these things happen naturally, so it’s not like you’ll have this entitled mentality thinking that you’re better than him. It’s more or less knowing your worth and not accepting less than what you deserve. So if I expect you to financially contribute to the relationship, it really shouldn’t be a problem.
Sister please stop!
Stop! Stop! Stop!

You are trying to drag women back to the medieval cave when they were nothing but property and a man could only afford according to his wealth - strictly - AND THE WOMEN HAD NO SAY.

By the way, if you are a mother or an aspiring one, do not dare to teach this to your girls else you will raise professional gold-diggers and shameless home prostitutes.

Your analogies are extremely warped.

A question for you though: If a man comes to you and, assuming he's financially comfortable, he sees you as his best option at the time, does he have an automatic right to date you if he starts spending on you? Is that what it will take for you to say 'yes' to a man - whether or not he's physically appealing to you? Don't you have a say, a choice in the man you would like to be romantically involved with?
But, if you think you have a say in who you agree to date, does it not make the person your choice as you are his choice too? If so, where did 'favour' creep in from? Or is money what determines who you say 'yes' and 'no' to?
I'm sure there's a word for people with this line of thought. But I don't think you are one.

its not your fault. poverty has eaten deep into your brain that you can't think straight again. you can't eat unless a man buys you food, you can't cloth yourself unless a man gives you money for it,you can't spend money unless its given to you by a man. I know girls like you,Pele. but don't get it twisted, your gender doesn't mean girls like you are not making it big, there are several female self made multimillionaires. do they have 2 heads. you should be ashamed you have the mentality of a common prostitute and a prostitute isn't different from a rag to we men, more like a dirty stinking toilet.
I buy ny own food, put clothes on myself, pay my own rent at my house in school and also pay rent in my mothers house. You guys just just dont understand anything. You read one line and skip the others. Its not my fault that you cant comprehend, i’m sorry. I will never depend on a man for everything, but if you want to be in my life and possibly be my husband, you have to support me financially and show that youre willing to provide. Its that simple. I have to see that youre willing to take care of me.

You have time to explain your life to broke imps.
oh gawd, sis you can't educate these people.
it's your life, your choice.they should live with it.

Stanley was asking what I do for a living when he has never told us what he does for a living,so for his mind I should narrate my life history to him.cheesy I cough in swahili.

me I have always maintained my stance here and for no account will stand double faced or be coarsed to stand equivocal.

I'm not dating them,I can never date them.I wonder why they all are pained with these.
anyway na only broke guys the thing hit for chest.

Stingy people always have a "good" reason not to spend.

If you cannot spend on someone you claim to love, please let her go.

I don't mean taking over her education,feeding...or adopting her and becoming her benefactor. Some men actually do that but that is a choice.

The lady herself should not be a liability. She should be able to give too
