Correct me ,2018 stocks: Transcorp, CILEASING, Wema
bank ,Custodian, Oando

3 from amongst the 5 u listed are a part of the Chosen ones !!
...with the probability of a triple digit percentage ROI at near the value of 1. ...especially among 2 of the 3 chosen ones. wink cheesy

The other 2 would move but dependent on certain extraneous factors.
...one with a 'fundamental heartbeat' and the other with a 'sentimental desire'. wink cheesy

Do we expect a drop in revenue, profit and eps in 2019 since there is no other assets for sale this year?
Or crude oil will do the magic?

Na hu Guz hep. My guy if u want make money for nse just sgine ur eye thats all. Before guz move 10% we don do 100%.
This month alone I have made over 60% of my floating cash from Eterna, transcorp and oando. Their
fundamentals might seem bad but na returns I need.
My regrets are not making anything from skye and japaul which have no fundamentals at all

You can only do this when you are using less than N2m to play the market.

Those that are heavyweight can't jump like you do. They need sectors that can consume all they have.

Oga, this is not MMM where you gain points when people join you.

Some banks will have to tell their shareholders that the EPS they reflect in the financials is annualised.

Sterling Bank's numbers are not annualised o(assumptions based on post you quoted). The bank made 11k at Q1 for real.

Thats why there's always a disclaimer in at least 90% of my post here.
...u may wish to check thru that.
I don't know how u drew the inference to the part of ur post in bold.
...for I do not give outright recommendation for people to buy stocks.
I only try to advise albeit with some form of reason/backing but only where necessary.

Hmmmm, the prices will be galluping from now till the end of the year and FDI guys will be pulling out of the market gradually cos of the uncertainty of the general election but most of us will be blinded with small bulls that will appear and disappeared. toward the last quarter, FDI guys will pull out temporarily which may make the prices go down till election is over. I love stocks investment cos I have gained a lot though I have also lost a lot then when I started as a beginner then. my advice is just for individuals to apply whatever strategy that will be OK for him. there were time on NSE that companies rolled in good result but no increase in the prices of their shares. 2007/2008 experience can never make me loose money again. have made enough money this year in cap appreciation and wit about .5m dividend. am still very careful and follow my watch word of NO MORE LOSS. so my advice is just follow what is OK for u.
my mentor and my advicer Warren bufet says be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy.

Note: I have it in my portfolio so am not wishing for it to go Red, i had to share the link that analysed the results so we should watch our back!

RabbiDoracle:

Some things don't add up in the report. Is this FORTE OIL or FORTE POWER?

Let's look at the breakdown of the revenue and cost of sales .

For Power generation:
Revenue=N 36.613b
Cost of sales= N23.648b

Then gross profit= N12.965b

For Fuel, chemical, lube and grease(core business):
Revenue=N92.83b
Cost of sales= N81.679b

Then gross profit= N11.151b

From the P & L account,

Non- controlling interest =N8.458b (after tax deduction ooo)

And on notes 21, non- controlling interest means that for Geregu power plant, Bureau of Public Enterprise has 49% stake. For Amperion Power Distribution, BSG Resources Limited has 38% stake and Shanghai Municipal Electricity Power Company has 5% stake.

So in both cases Forte oil should have more than 50% stake in the operation of the power plant and the distribution company.

Now if the non-controlling interest is 8.458b after tax, this is 65% of the gross profit from power generation. Where is Forte oil's stake in the power generation?

If the bulk of the PAT goes to non-controlling interest, this shows that much of the profit is from power generation. How about the fuel, chemical, lube and grease?

Do we still need to call this company Oil? It should be POWER!!!

So what is the profit that can be attributed to company and not the group?

Pls has any one gone through the response of management to the Going Concern verdict of independent auditors in the Multiverse andited report 2017.they said lead mining to begin in Q4 2018, 100000 metric tones per year. I attended the AGM in Dec 2017. MD said Q2 2018. Goal post shitting.

Pls wait oh, is it this oando q1 2018 of 18kEPS u ppl r jubilating about or is it just monkeyhunting

The 'jubilation' is about the FY2017 result. Of course many did not read the auditors opinion about the going concern of OandO. They also did not bother about the negative retain earnings.

OandO will likely have to raise funds. I expect the price to be pumped up for that.
