MSCI ADDITION FOR 2 MAY 2018/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT

Not much story to tell. MSCI is using style to avoid the market for now.

Personally still watching the market to know which good stock to buy. According to the mood of the market, I will not buy any equity that the price seems to be high of close to a resistance level, neither will I buy without a good support at sight. In this type of market, little sprit may be okay as the bullish side seems weak.

Again, the fund has cubed my buying exuberance, now it is becoming part of my style that I need not be in the market always, neither will I be able to catch all hot stocks. The part I need to control is to minimise my loss and get out within the 10 to 20% loss range in those stocks that have some good fundamentals in the medium/long term (for those with weak fundamentals, getting out will be no problem, getting out within one week or 3 days is normal for me).

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source.

Seems they are making money from DOWNSTREAM.

Subsidy money is too juicy.

And OandO is selling its downstream business shocked
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 10:59am On May 03, 2018
Not only are they talking. Femi has come to accept that he needs Aliko to survive in the industry. One thing that is not yet clear is if Otedola will want to use Forte Oil for this deal or they may just form a new company and leverage on Forte Oil to make money for themselves. Just like Jim did with Visafone. I am tempted to start by Forte Oil for speculation but these guys have a mind of their own.
Manonamission:

" The company, majority owned by billionaire, Femi Otedola, has also been in talks with a major refinery to form a strategic partnership for local refining of petroleum products. "

If the story is true....then it could be that Femi and Aliko have been talking

Oando is not a serious business .

Except for SEPLAT, most oil companies list on the NSE are into downstream business.

....This market is just creating so much opportunities. I have learnt that in stock trading, it pay to stay within the confines of the market leader. Two stocks on my mind.

M&B just sold their noodles arms of business to Dufil for about N775m. So, there may be more to it than what the investors are seeing.

On DANGOTE FLOUR, we have drawn up a few analysis here that Q1 was still a very effective and efficient result, yet some investors are overreacting.
Well, they always do. ...for that's how money change hands within the 'NSE room' wink cheesy
we have just added more of our usual 2 Afolabi unit to the bag.
For a certainty, those selling now will later have themselves to blame !!

We are here.

On the bolded, am thinking their planned arrangement could be, one of them Refine, the other of them Distribute.

...I will be offering some analysis on some potential stocks and indices that makes them hot buy or sell. The truth is that there is a "short time" bull that is coming. Only those that position themselves well will profit. As for me, I have missed some opportunities to make money but that is the beauty of the exchange. I will give you some expo for now:

Eternal: is a good buy at present price. I see this stock touching #10 by q2 earnings report
GSK: I will show you why GSK is a good buy at this price and why its price will continue to fluctuate around 20-24 for a long time
Honeywell :will outperform the market. Dividend yield may be small. Good stock to hold till for long term appreciation

Let the bears come! we are ready to mock-up!

Watch out for more expo!

Oga, Is it pronounced 'the rugged prof' or 'drugged prof'.
#INQUISITIVE#DRP
It's 'deruggedprof'. I missed 'e' in the pronunciation and it made it to sound like the prof was drugged (or on cheap drugs) as deadlytruth rightly pointed out grin

They sure do need cash. They are planning a rights issue of 1 for 1 @ N2.75k as stated in their year end corporate action release. They have a bunch of stubborn shareholders. Not allowing new investors and not allowing the major existing one increase its stake. This rights issue will change the fundamental dynamics of the shareholding structure of that company.
