Because of the Abuja Closed Down i cancelled my former appointment thinking of applying to Lagos and the receipt is no longer valid.

I sent a mail since 18th august to re-validate my receipt till date no reply.

This group. Is really helpful and has helped me, I could remember how it helped me during my exams with the DSS, though I was not picked but I gained a whole lot.

Hmmmmm, I was denied last year August for visa as I applied to attend a security conference in Houston Texas US...she just went through my letter of introduction and denied me... (one white woman with glasses) anyway, plz house I am a company secretary to the security firm where I work, just want to ask, is my job not good enough or Hugh paying enough to enable me travel, cos lots of peeps said I should have changes my job.. 1. If you are not qualified, you are not qualified, you are only qualified if you meet their requirements - these are known as "ties".
2. Ties are things that necessitate your return to your home country.
3. You could be a secretary and still qualify for a visa - by meeting these ties, such as financial, marital, travel history, length of time at work, amongst others.
4. Changing your occupation, in an attempt to qualify for a visa, is MORALLY WRONG, and will lead to issues in the future.

No. I don’t think it will be rescheduled since they will be resuming after Eid and mine falls after Eid equally. I think those that will be or have been rescheduled are those whose interviews were before Eid break... like I said, I think

How do you expect us to know, when we're not the one going for the conference. Look for payment icon on the conference website.

Hope you have the email address he used for your application, if not open a new email and fill a new ds160 form after which you will call U.S Embassy customer care number for further action.
