My own MVP is the best passing big man in the league right now and arguably in the history of the NBA. Nikola Jokic

You just supported my opinion there. What's making LeBron unique to join Brodie? Nothing

Now look at Curry:

He's averaging less minutes than Bron with more points.
He's making 5 3s a game at over 50% . Yes!!! 50%
He has a +/- of 10.3. Yes!!!! 10.3 Bron barely has 2
He has an offensive rating of almost 120 when he's playing. 120 points!!!!

He's the game changer in a team that's struggling with the all stars. His numbers aren't like yesterday or last season's (unlike Bron). These are game changing numbers that you can't help but admire. Someone that ends up with 40s playing only 3 quarters shouldn't be lower than Bron that barely scrapes a win

LeBron is in the conversation but most definitely not "way higher" than Curry.

Thanks!
nah bro I just looked it up right now.... Curry ain't even top 5 in any STATS u were wrong earlier. Curry is only high up in 3 points made...bro day pic u showed earlier was early Dis season...pls look it up again grin grin grin

Lol. 30.2 is his current ppg. Use stats from Nba.com and go to general

You won't find him in traditional standings cos he's not played 70% of Warriors games. Thought you or everybody knew this

Because Embiid's rookie season was not a standout one. And he only played 40% of the total games

Curry's 15 games are greater than Bron's 24. And I repeat; with minimal effort. He remains healthy playing at this same level, then he's winning that MVP no question about it

Scoring the ball yes but I almost feel it's deliberate. I'm just so in awe of his passing and how he is driving that offense even without Gary Harris their best scorer. They beat the Raptors in Toronto without him, says a lot

damn did u really say Embid rookie season wasn't standout.averaging 20.2 points and 2.1 assists as a rookie isn't stand out? Even for a centre? Even luka doncic is averaging lesser ppg. Why is DeRozan still refusing to shoot the 3 ball? How do you as a shooting guard take 27 shots and only 1 3pter.

These Spurs na real disappointment with their autobahn defense.

Why am I even arguing with you?

How does a rookie who played 35 games in an 82 game season averaging 20 points per game with a team that didn't reach the playoffs a standout season?

Warriors is 12-3 when he plays and 5-6 without. Curry leads LeBron in points, PER, win shares, offensive rating, BPM, FTM%, eFG%, all with less minutes but no LeBron's season is better

Prior to Curry's injury, he's on top of MVP ladder by NBA.com. But you Rotimi from Ajaokuta thinks LeBron is having a more spectacular season

Curry is having these numbers in a team with one player averaging 29.8ppg and in the MVP conversation; another with 22.3ppg

But it is LeBron that the next player is averaging 16ppg that we should be saying he's doing better.

M.v.p-most valuable player

Lakers last year after 24 games were 8-16 and at d end of d season finishing 37-45 11th in d conference not earning any playoff spot.
LeBron joins Dis year and after 24 games are 15-9,5th in d western conference, the warriors only one place higher. Cmon man yet we talk about VALUE.

Jeez man, curry could sit out d whole season left wit an healthy Thompson Durant, green and cousins.yet d warriors make the playoff spot and possibly getting past d 2nd round.
Dat ain't d case for LeBron... Let him sit out d whole season Lakers are surely not earning any playoff spot.

Cmon man ur curry adds value, dats facts. But u can't compare d value LeBron adds to the Lakers to d one he adds to the warriors.u a Curry fan but b real.

We've argued this rationale of MVP here over and over again

NBA giving the MVP award to a player never connotes the "most valuable" as you put it. In that case people like Kemba Walker would be in the conversation

MVP as well as any other sporting awards are given largely to the best player in the best team. A player that consistently helps with his stats to take a team to the highest echelon there is and wherein the team suffers a setback, though not major when he's out.

Your basis of putting LeBron over Curry is not a crucial part of MVP selection unless LeBron averages a triple double for the whole season. Even when he did average that for a full series, he wasn't given the finals MVP cos his team wasn't better.

The genesis of this argument is with each player's stats, who has been the better player? LeBron or Curry?

Lagos Ibadan express no smooth na. We are talking of a path of least resistance.

I am still scratching my head as to why the Spurs defense is so bad. I know they lack a standout defensive player but what I'm seeing is not acceptable even from a G-LEAGUE team

Can't stress enough my disappointment in DeRozan and this Carmelo ball he has been playing these last few games. A perimeter player taking just 6 3pt shots in 7 games is suicide in today's game.
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:25am On Dec 07, 2018
Re-establishing our identity which is defensive intensity has been the secret behind this 4 game winning streak. I think we got carried away with improving our offense and lost our passion on defense.
The line up change buttresses this as the inclusion of Smart and Morris helps us maintain defensive intensity and we are more balanced with both starting.
I hope we can continue with this momentum. Good thing Hayward and the rest of the guys are humble enough to know that team success is priority.

I expected a drop off from last season for the Rockets as I suspect a lot of other people did too but this one is more than what was bargained for. There is something just stale about the Rockets style, same with the Spurs.

I know Ariza and Mbah leaving would affect them but it looks like the problem is even far from those two leaving.

thats what i meant. I dont see spurs offense as taking path of least resistance. I think they have a coaching crew that has developed around Popovichs personality that cant see basketball any other way than the spurs way aka ugly ball.

They have several rules which I feel are like potholes in the offense. Aldridge had a hard time adjusting, and now DeRozan.

For example, I understand the point of moving the ball around, but please if you have an all star with ball in his hand at his sweet spot, even if there are 20s on the shot clock, let him take his shot and live with it.

I hate the fact that Tony Parker didnt leave the Spurs earlier. Dude was a live wire on offense until he got to the spurs. Someone will say they won 3 rings with him playing like that. I say they vould have won more if Parker had been given more freedom.

Team chemistry is not 1+1=2. Sometimes 1+1=3. Arizas personality had an effect on the lockeroom - it wasnt just his steals and 3s.

unfortunately there is no formula to personality nfectiousness, so... grin grin

This is what I was preaching when I said the Nuggets and Jazz got better in comparison to the Rockets. Both teams did not lose core pieces, I dare say even bench players, so they approached the season with an already established chemistry and trust when compared to the Rockets.
It’s not like the Rockets replaced Ariza, Mbah and Belleneli with better players so it’s not surprising that they are struggling.
More importantly, people forget MDA/Rockets play a particular system (ISO) basketball and the pieces that left were mostly players who shored transition defense when the Rockets went ISO.

Rockets been stale since they got Paul. Paul and Harden iso the hell out of everybody and the remaining 3 players stand and watch. The only difference between this season and last is they lost the defensive presence they had. Now thier defence is pants. It's very very obvious. Then when an u drafted rookie is one of your best defenders and 6th man, then u know something is wrong

Naah I no too agree with this submission. If you want to talk about one of the most adaptable coaches the league has ever seen Pop is one of them.

I have seen the Spurs morph from a ground and pound team that would pound you into submission into the John the Baptist of the current Golden State we are seeing now.

Their problem right now is the playing style of Aldridge and DeRozan are not ideal for a team trying to compete at the top of the West. Ironically they have managed to play even worse on defense (Aldridge the biggest suspect) I still maintain that this present DeRozan style is not sustainable. When you need 27 shots and a ton of FT attempts to get to 32 pts there is a problem.

Wait oh which Tony Parker you dey talk? The one they drafted? I'd say Tony Parker's lack of outside shooting is why he isn't one of the greatest PG's ever (I think he's top 10-15 anyway)
