welcome to MUFC ...but if this will set a precedent of "finish poorly and demand for better contracts, get out", so be it. I expect the below average performers to follow soon.

Before, the board would ve pampered Herrera and gave him what he wanted. They let him go because they probably didn't feel he was worth that 200k. That jump from 75k to 200k no make brain.

I would have wanted him to stay as a squad player but hopefully, this means the board have turned a corner and aren't willing to overpay underperforming players anymore.

There's no way they would send Herrrera packing and decide to still stick with Matic, Young, Smalling, Sanchez and Jones. At least 3/4 of these names should not be here next season. Those ones days are numbered.

I think I will be the happiest man on Earth seeing 5 relatively unknown players in our starting eleven next season.

Players like Gagu Balukuta from Burundi tigers, mohammed al Shammari from Petrojet, Ayo Adepoju from Ogbomosho bombers, Temile Obiozor from Bayelsa utd and David Tyavkase (unattached).

Fine, if we must make progress on the field of play we need better players, players better than Herrera but what I don't get is why we opted to renew Young on 110k and Jones on 120k both terrible footballers compared to Herrera and let Herrera leave...
