Comprehension issue

His father told him his inheritance is with him. Read other version for eye opener

If the prodigal son didn't lose his status, how come he wasn't recognised in a strange land and treated accordingly
With due respect, I think you are the one with comprehension problem

shadeyinka:

...

Although the frightening thing about the prodigal son was that even though he was received back home by his father. He lost EVERYTHING. His obedient elder brother owns ALL the father had.

femi4:
Show me where its written in your Bible.
....

Mark what I said:

obedient elder brother owns ALL the father had.

The scripture again:

Luk 15:28-31:
"And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and entreated him. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine

You are evading my question smiley.

Check

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Bringing forth fruit is what is referred to as work, right? The vine says you bear fruit because you are in him. It didn't say you are in him because you bear fruit. Understand.

Would you conclude that what negates and destroy your salvation isn't SIN even though God hates sin.

Can someone become born again by righteous living,? No!
Can someone become unborn again by SIN? No!

When we look at the prodigal son, we are tempted to believe that he has lost his sonship.

Although the frightening thing about the prodigal son was that even though he was received back home by his father. He lost EVERYTHING. His obedient elder brother owns ALL the father had.

You hit the right word PREDESTINED

What could I have done to set me free, the law I was taught to keep was actually given to make my sin to be plenty (Romans 5: 12 Law was introduced in order to increase wrongdoing; but where sin increased, God's grace increased much more.)

The only the that set me free is the truth which was and is still hidden from the world... I was free because of knowing and believing (John 8:32 So Jesus said to those who believed in him, “If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; 32 you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”)

Can a Christian become an "unborn again" person?
To simplify what I mean;
Born again = Gain salvation.
Unborn again = Lose salvation.

Don't be afraid to say exactly what the scriptures said.

All the Father had, including the robe, ring, fatened calf belonged to the first son. All means ALL!

How does it relate? Please go away with your false teaching.

You woke up this morning and this demonic message came to your heart and you proceeded to share. Jesus Christ, a God head member, came to sacrifice himself once and for all and you have the effontry to say he only achieved partial salvation.

God have mercy on your soul.

Great Christian, u call me Demonic and all u wish.. can u see how Christian we are? Your like are the problems of the nation..

Why not disprove the fact Jesus said he will Judge you from your good works? JESUS has said it all.. You can go with all u care..

It's so sad that we call ourselves Christians but we are debunking basic biblical truths.

The Doctrine of Once Saved, Forever Saved is wrong and we can prove it from the life of Demas, who started the Christian race and departed because of the cares of this life and the lives of so many others that started the Christian race but later departed.

If the Doctrine is true, why did Apostle Paul in the book of Colossians encourage the Saints (mostly new believers) to continue in the LORD? Colossians 3

Why did God warn the Laodicean church concerning the dangers of lukewarmness?
Why would he spew them out of his mouth?

Revelations 3:14-16
“14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth”.

Hebrews 10:37-39
“37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul”.

Why did Jesus Christ admonish Peter concerning the aftermath of denying Christ thrice and how to regain his salvation?

Luke 22:31,32
“31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren”.

I don't know if you noticed the phrase “...and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren”
Why does he need to be converted again, wasn't he saved?

I think someone said something about Salvation solely dependent on Grace and not of works, what do you have to say about Paul's letter to Titus and also the prophecy of Jesus Christ?

Titus 1:16
“They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate”.

Matthew 24:11-13
“11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved”.

The scriptures is replete with every piece of information or instruction we'll need to ensure we live a victorious Christian life here on earth in order to be qualified and to be ready at all times for the Rapture.

God's standard on Salvation, Holiness and Righteousness have not changed.

Matthew 24:35
“35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away”.

Matthew 5:18
“18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled”.

The standard has not dropped and it's certainly not going drop anytime. If you haven't surrendered your life to him before or you backslided probably because of the doctrine of “Once Saved, Forever Saved”, the trumpet has not yet sounded, it's not too late to make amends. His arms are open wide to receive you.

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Have you seen this passage in scripture before?

Hebrews 7:25 KJV
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Jude 1:3-7 KJV
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. [4] For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. [5] I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. [6] And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. [7] Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Salvation is not just a point in time occurrence. We were saved (our spirits), we are being saved (our souls) and we shall be saved (our body) only by the grace of God (The Word of God) through our faith. If you have given you life to Christ, it means you surrender the wheel to Him, if you find yourself in sin, He didn't drive you there. You must have taken back the wheel because you lost your trust in him and drove yourself to seek pleasure for self not knowing that we are made to please God and in pleasing God only can we find genuine and lasting pleasures.
God saved the Israelite from Egypt so he could take them to the promised land but most of them died on the way not because God couldn't take them through but because the willingness to obey and please God when Pharaoh was a threat disappeared when they saw the Egyptians no more.

I dare to say rather, if you have Life (the life of God), you are pleasing to him. We don't seem to fully understand the investment God made in us when he gave us his Spirit. It's an eternal investment.

The new covenant is not between God and men (many) as many think. It is between God and his Son, Christ. You are a partaker of the new covenant because you are in Christ. You are Christ. You are pleasing to him.
God made the investment but you still have to make a choice to choose between light and darkness

Titus 3:14 KJV
And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Ephesians 2:10 KJV
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Matthew 5:16 KJV
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things , may abound to every good work:
Colossians 1:10 KJV
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Please study your Bible, there is a difference between works (which implies the deeds motivated and approved by self) and good works (which implies the righteous deeds motivated and approved The Spirit Of God).
Good works are approved by God.

"If they shall fall away..." That is a premise. To fall away is to abandon the faith of Christ; to stop believing in Christ.

So what point was Paul making there? Paul was saying it is IMPOSSIBLE to renew them to repentance. Those that do this are very deliberate with their actions. They are not the lay believers who don't understand the life they carry. That's why 2 Tim refers to them as hypocritical liars. These ones know the truth (by 'know' I don't mean head knowledge as is common with many believers), they've interacted with it but deliberately chose to turn away from it.

Such rebellion is after the order of Lucifer. It is impossible for Lucifer to be accepted back to God. So it is with those ones. Those are the ones that loose their salvation. Once lost, it can never be gotten a second time, else Christ would have to be crucified for them again.

So when you say a believer loses his Salvation, it's an anomaly and is rare. It is a signification of eternal damnation that was deliberately chosen by a man that have tasted of the power of Christ. A believer can't lose his salvation. As long as he believes in Christ, his salvation is sure.

A true child of God will not choose Sin over righteous living even if he was assured of no consequence.
Why?
He is truly a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Like, if you give a Cat an opportunity to wallow in the mud (even with incentives attached) would not do so. The nature of a cat isn't like that.
However, clean up a pig and perfume it. Put the pig in a big 5star hotel for 10 years on the day you give it the opportunity of wallowing in the mud, you'll see that a pig has the old nature of filth. Nothing can be done about that.

If a single sin will send a "child of God" to hell, why exactly did Jesus have to die. You will discover that the Thief on the right hand of Christ never asked for forgiveness of sin. He only asked "remember me when you get to your Kingdom" and Jesus said "today today, you shall be with me in paradise!".

Once saved eternally saved in NEVER the same as
Once saved you have the license to SIN

It is saying, if you are truly saved, we would see the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit manifesting in You.
shadeyinka:
If you are enjoying SINNING, you are most likely still the OLD creature, the old things have not passed away and behold all things still THE SAME!
Show me where this is in the bible. Yes I agree you are a new creature. It is a spiritual transformation but it does not end there we have decide to continue to continue to live in Christ because he owns us, we have continually renew our mind with the word of God

The thief acknowledge his wrongs, he said he deserved what he got before Christ knowing he was going to die, asking Jesus to remember him in His kingdom means He believed and had faith in Jesus Christ for salvation thereby making the right decision before he died. He even asked the other thief if he fears God made the choice on the cross. He demonstrated a repentant heart before he died.

1John 2:1

Good. If you read that scripture again. Paul was not referring to any kind of believer, he wasn't referring to babes in Christ. Rather He was referring to mature believers that have gotten so intimate with God, they have walked with God that they have seen and experienced high levels of spirituality, they have been enlightened . They have had experience with God to a very high level, they have tasted of the good word of God and the power of the world to come but chose to rebel against God. Just like lucifer and his demons, these kind know they are damned and are just waiting for the time

Matt. 8:29

Christians that have still have conscience and are convicted of their wrong ways do not belong to this category. It is rare but doesn't mean it does not happen

I understand your position; I was there before. I had lots of questions on doctrines begging for answers. Light came when I received understanding of the finished work of Christ. I didn't require anyone to explain what those doctrines meant further, nor whether they were correct or not. I judge all scriptures in light of the finished work of Christ. I walk in consciousness of who I have become because of him. I am one with the resurrected Christ; no difference. If you've seen me, you've seen Christ. This is what the gospel is about. What Christ became at resurrection is different from who he was before resurrection. I am after the image of the resurrected Christ. I am Christ. This is the testimony of every believer.

And no, Judas wasn't saved. None of the apostles were saved before the resurrection.

You are loved.

Can you explain this scripture, from Jesus

Luke 10:20
20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

I agree with what you say but we are commanded to be perfect just as God is. It might sound like something that is impossible but it is possible because with God all things are possible to them that believe. Even I am depending on the grace of God and striving for perfection but I will not deny the truth of His word

....I almost didn't bwant to respond to you.

So if a criminal acknowledged his guilt before the court, he has asked for forgiveness?

What if the judge grants him freedom even after being found guilty.

Romans 9:15
For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

Matt 20:16
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

The problem with this is that even you probably enjoy some some things like pride and retaliation. Does that make you not born again? Born again people are totally saved in their Spirits for their spirits are sitted at the Right hand side of God. But their souls are still d same way- but now have the opportunity of progressing in righteousness and actually become fully saved. So pls dont make a believer doubt his salvation because of some sins- yes he might even enjoy them (very bad though) You are the one that should know that there is a sin unto death 1 John 5:16 and it is impossible to....renew them unto repentance Heb 6:6
shadeyinka:

. If you find anyone who claims to be saved but enjoys SIN, such might NEVER have been saved in the first place.

You know what Jesus said, "By their Fruit, you shall know them"...does anyone reap mangoes from weed?

Yours is a doctrine of partial salvation!
You believe that Christ only saved us halfway! Is this the scripture?
