Hello fellow Nairalanders,

Please help address this question. Thanks as you do.

With a deficit of N8.8m can I use an SOA of a balance of N12m at the embassy.

Also can I use an online SOA that only has the bank logo but without Stamp or signature.

Yes, it's fine bro - for the amount..

You should get an official stamp if it's a Nigerian bank but if you can't, you should have a genuine reason for printing an online statement.

Yes you just need more than 6 months. If it expires while in the usa you get a new passport and travel with old and new passort if needed

Good evening everyone. I appreciate the efforts of everyone making reasonable contributions on this thread. I'm new to this thread, I have been reading through the pages but in order to save myself some time, let me drop my questions.

I just want to start processing my application for a masters programme in the US, hope admission is still open in most schools?

What are the processes involved and how do I find affordable schools that offer Masters programme for options in Electrical and Electronics engineering?

I graduated with a 'not too impressive 2'1', can I still get roles as a GA or TA and how do I go about this ?

Thanks in anticipation. Blessings..

Don't send visa transcripts to my email. I won't respond. Post all your visa transcripts here.

Quite a few schools are still accepting for Fall, but you'd have to do some searching and be ready to do some spending for the application process over the next month or two.

Have you written the GRE and/or TOEFL? The funding deadline for most schools have passed. You can push for Fall 2020.

This is a list of schools sor your program. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NrfFVlPHZzXIPUOc_PZXiX-uzb3nmazn/view?usp=sharing
You can use sites like thegradcafe to see the trends of funding for your course.

Goodluck on your journey.

Expert in the house please help me out with this. Thanks!

Why Ms chemistry?
It is challenging to get noticed in the labour market with an undergraduate degree, most employers in Nigeria finds an advance degree extremely attractive and appealing. MS chemistry will open so many doors of unlimited opportunities in eclectic fields like FMCG(Do I need to be specific?) govermental agencies, forensic, health and research institute when i arrive in the country. The MSC chemistry will also equipe me with the scientific and experimental skills to function confidently as a quality control analyst in other to help eliminate outmoded products that has flooded the country. (will give the VO an anecdote on a particular product I consumed that almost disfigured lips and also how my pop consumed a fruit juice that got his digestive system disorganized)
Finally, with this degree i will also get to revive my small scale manufacturing business that has been on hold.(before I started I was into production of disinfectant, soaps&detergent, and hair cream)

So what are your plans after you've gotten this degree?

I have a very few different path that I'm considering, but first I will work for some couple of years. Perhaps, 3-4years to familiarize myself with the industry and gain enough experience so that I can contribute positively towards improving human health, environment and industry in my country. Then continue my small scale processing company, and eventually expand it in the nearest future. That was how dangote & co started.

My Observation

QUESTION 1
Only you want do three things? I find that response too generic and too long! Yes, you need to be specific and straight to the point.

QUESTION 2
Your response clearly shows that you don't even know what you want to do with the degree. The question is "what are your plans after this degree?" not "what are the career options open to you after this degree?" Both questions are different. The former needs to be more specific and the latter is what you answered.

Please see the previous transcripts I have analyzed to get an idea of how to answer these questions. I don't know why I feel too lazy to write sample responses for you grin grin grin grin

It was a straight four years.
I studied Dental Therapy.

We don't do it halfway OND and HND.

I actually want to do it afresh, but am afraid if i get admitted, the VO might ask why am studying it again?

Why not a Different Department.

I really need someone to help.

I've written to not less than 10 schools tonight, am still waiting for their response.
So your class of degree is just HND? Just try evaluate your transcript.

I'd advice you get a translated copy, or ask the bank if English version is available. But it could be used especially if figures are numeric. I rarely see cases where the statement is not in English.
